At first please dont freak out about forbidden ritual and unlicensed apothecary. I hope that you are not dumb enough to play them together :)

Actually apothecary is not as bad as you may see, since you are able to trade most of the things until 5th turn if you are lucky and this deck have the oppoturnity to play on curve pretty well so you dont take serious amount of damage just by swarming your board.

Clutchmother Zavas is here because of the crazy amount of discard you run in your deck and lets you play it for good tempo minion or big guy in later turns.

The only TFT card that impressed me so far was Howlfiend thanks to 3/8 body and demon synergy.

Forbidden Ritual is just a card to fill up this deck, I'll see if its any good in here and if no I'll replace it.

Lastly why no Silverware Golems ??? Yeah i know that they have a great synergy to this deck, but I havent found them any needed in my games and I did not found a way to use that tempo card since there is a lot of control decks to be played in this expansion so i much rather have a Bloodfury Potion and Forbidden Ritual instead than a minion that dies with your other stuff due to the one lucky topdeck of flamestrike. ( feel free to replace them if you want !!! :) )

The playstyle of discartlock is well known and really simple, try to trade as favorably as posible, dont be afraid to take damage to your face by using your hero power ( and few other minions ) and try to not end up loosing all of your hand to a single board clear.

You have to know when to trade with your minions and when to go face ! dont try rush down your opponents since you'll just most likely end up loosing, sometimes its better tho ( Jade druid etc..)

Mulligan is simple aswell, the best things to have is - Flame Imp, Dire Wolf Alpha, Darkshire Librarian, Possessed Villager if you are second you can even keep Ravasaur Runt if you have two more one drops in your hand ( dont coin the second one on the first turn or your opponent may end up trading one of them )

If you are against slower deck I found out that is good to keep - Howlfiend and Malchezaar's Imp

The only big struggle I have met were obviously hunters since they can deal some serious damage to you and you are helping him a lot with your cards that deals damage to your face aswell, its really difficult to win that matchup and only advise that i can give you is to concider playing cards that deal damage to your face and tapping when you are below 15 health.
