I greet you!
I just want to share my beloved deck which is powerful and entertaining at the same time! Just get bored from the old combo and antiaggro form of Renolock so I've made some new stuff. And holly molly... this deck is absolutely fascinating.
I don't want to write a full guide because new standard year is almost here,
but if you really need it, I'll do it! Just upvote this deck.
- I used this deck to climb from Rank 5 to Rank 1. (The final push to Legend had made by anti aggro Renolock.)
- On the Legend ladder I climbed from ~7900 to ~4000 pretty easily and keep pushin'!
Explanation
So what is the main idea and what are the key kards in this deck?
1# Can you remember the Blood Magic Tawern Brawl and how OP was playing cards costing health instead of mana? That time Violet Illusionist started to shine so why don't we use it with Cho'gall? Nobody loves this guy in these days and I have no ide why, he just knows how's things goin'...
2# There are a lot of spells in a usual Renolock deck: board clears, hard removals and Kazakus' potions. So it is obvious to pick Medivh, the Guardian in this deck. The great cost 8 and 10 mana spells like Twisting Nether and DOOM! are the real tempo swing when you use them with Atiesh.
3# Just simply imagine the combination of #1 and #2. Sounds really hard but you will be surprised when you learn the way how to manage your turns well.
Honorable mentions
- Do you need some time to set up the infinite value? Here is two guys who can help you: Reno Jackson + Youthful Brewmaster. This combo had seen some instant concede in the history.
- If you aren't satisfied with these value generating stuffs in #1 #2 and #3, then you still have Kabal Courier. You can easily discover some broken card what could change the game.
This deck is extremely powerful against control decks (outvalue is REAL), but could shine against midrange and aggro decks too. It have every tools to deal with everything. :)

Good luck and have fun, fellas! ;)
I was surprised, but the deck actually works really decent right now on the ladder! Looks I will play it until the expansion is rolling out! Good job. Also nothing better than playing Reno two times against pirate warrior ;)

Thanks for the video! Glad to see that it performs well for you. :)
Interesting list. I opened Cho'gall recently and have been looking for a use for him. What do you think of the new card Bloodbloom? Could it replace Cho'gall or is the body important?
In this list the body is really important and have no reason to play a spell like Bloodbloom. In a different deck it could be really useful in the future. But in this stage of the game it will be as useless as Embrace the Shadow.
Nobody said that I was the first one who used Medivh in a Warlock deck. :D :D
Furhermore I am sure that there are another decks with Cho'gall.
So... thanks for your presence Captain Obvious! :)
I really don't want to argue with you but a Warlock with Cho'gall, Violet Illusionist and Medivh isn't pretty usual on the ladder. Haven't seen a single deck like this on the page so I've uploaded it because it is entertaining and effective.
Since I pulled Jaraxxus few weeks ago I started to play Renolock but mostly in Wild though my deck is standard legal. I am starting to love playing reno. Upvoted! I'll try your version. :-)
I really like Cho'gall because it is a pure tempo swing even without the Violet Illusionist. If you have it in your hand then you can choose your Kazakus potions in a very different way. Jade Druids and every control opponents will hate this guy. :D
I don't want to force anybody to craft Cho'gall because it is not neccessary fo this deck, this list have more than enough value. :) But it is really underrated in my opinion and it seems Blizzard want to push this "health instead of mana" effect so it could be better in the future.
Great deck! Upvoted ;)
I like that you have Medivh in it. Any good replacements for Cho'gall?
If you don't have Cho'gall then you don't need Violet Illusionist, so you have 2 free slots. Any anti aggro tools could be good. Or the combo-breaker Dirty Rat if you face more control decks.
TIL if you play Medivh you must be copying Toast
Great deck, you have my upvote!

Cho'gall was the 1st wotog legendary i opened and i always flirted with the dust buttom! :D However this deck seems fun as fuck and makes me glad that i didn't give in to the temptation whether it's competitive or not!
Here take a beer, my upvote and my energy man ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ!
Energy feels great! Thank you buddy!
