AKA Raza Shaman! Sort of.

This was a deck that I theory crafted the moment I saw Pen Flinger.

The first iteration of the deck blew. Hard. The meta was way to fast to alternate your turns generating value, then actually playing cards, so it ended up taking on more of a control shell. Now it plays like a sort of scuffed Raza Priest, but it's super fun and I managed to climb to diamond 5 from bronze 10 with it.

Gameplan

The main gameplan is to control the board in the early game, make space for a setup turn to generate a bunch of spells, then use quest HP + Pen Flinger to slap your opponent in the face, just like OG Raza Priest. Only worse. Use big removal like Hagatha's Scheme and Earthquake when your opponent starts getting out of control, then go back to pen flinging. (note, do NOT play pen flinger INTO aoe, as it will die and you will not get it back).

This list is far from refined, but so far I've managed to beat Druids Gibberling opening, and I've been beating control priest, spell damage mage and highlander mage pretty consistently, climbed from bronze 10 to diamond 5 with almost exclusively this list.

Match-ups (so far)

Aggro rogue seems to be slightly unfavored but very winnable, mull for Lightning Breath, Torrent and literally any minion that costs 2 mana.

Survival of the Fittest druid on the other hand is heavily unfavored (but then that's the case for most decks right now). Basically you're just hard digging for Devolving Missiles from anything that generate 1-mana spells. Save Lightning Breath For their Twilight Runner.

Against Token druid it's kind of awkward, because you want to keep some combination of cards that will deal with their early board and that combination can be extremely different every game, not to mention you don't know what kind of druid your facing. Generally Lightning Breath is a good keep since it kills buffed Gibberlings and is good in both druid matchups, Pen Flinger can be a risky keep with things like Licensed Adventurer or Torrent, since it can kill UN-buffed gibberlings and also completes your quest faster, which is also good in both druid matchups. Either way it's not a super easy match-up but you definitely stand a chance.

Haven't faced a paladin yet, so not sure how that goes. probably dig for Devolving Missiles and Hex. Basically missiles is golden against any deck that likes to buff minions.

Against mage hard mulligan for Hagatha's scheme, it's good against either spell damage or highlander, focus on fast quest completion. once you complete the quest you'll generate way more value than them and put them on defense with pen flinger, and if they DO go off, that's why you mulligan for scheme.

For control priest, they don't really have a win condition and anything they take from your deck will either be spell generation or removal, and all of our damage comes from hand, so you'll eventually just burn them out. Their Galakrond can make things more awkward but it's slow, and the match-up definitely feels favored. The worst they can do is Mindrender Illucia our pen flingers and then we're kind of sad, but if they get anything else, we'll just generate all that value back in no time.

against buff priest it's the same as aggro rogue, except Devolving Missiles is also good.

The deck is kind of awkward to pilot. It requires a lot of fast math, and for you to plan a couple of turns ahead and have a general idea of what you'll need to save for later, though with some refinement maybe it can be made less awkward.

Either way it's super fun and the emote spam from your opponent when you kill them with Pen Flinger is absolutely worth it.
