The Deck has been updated with the League of Explorers release : Demonic Zoo
Introduction
Hello everyone I'm Spark, Legend player from Hearthstone and today we are taking a look at Zoolock new look with the release of GvG.
This Deck and its many variants will certainly be the next evolution of Zoolock as the Mech synergies totally fits the aggressive playstyle of the Deck.
I feel like the concept is pretty obvious so don't be surprised to see this kind of design pollute the ladder, you will have to deal with a variant of that in the meta if you want to succeed ;)
Theorycrafting : Mech Synergies
The whole idea is to keep Deathrattle synergies to power up Undertaker and have sticky minions while adding some Mechs into the mix to make great use of Mechwarper and Tinkertown Technician.
Clockwork Gnome, Harvest Golem and Piloted Shredder represents the best this design as they are all Mechs that have a Deathrattle effect.
I was invited to Deck Talk with TheChiv during Theorycrafting process, this video can give you some insight into my initial thoughts ;)
The second part is about my first ideas on Deathrattle Hunter new look which changed a little bit since Theorycrafting phase, here is the write up for the final Decklist : Beasty Zoo
Revision History 1 : Back to Basics
After playtesting the initial build a little bit more, I've found that Mech interactions were kinda underperforming for the specific Zoo strategy so I thought about reworking it with a return to the basics : flat value minions !
I instantly thought about Ogre Brute for its solid and cheap body, and after reading a nice article from DarkFrost, a mate on another site, I've decided to tweak his list slightly according to my initial thoughts. So all the credits go to him ;)
The mana-curve and strategy remains the same but I feel like it's much more consistent since you don't rely anymore on keeping Mechs on the board to make value out of their synergies, which made me feel like I lacked reaching potential to close game with the initial list.
Undertaker is still in the Deck because I'm running some good value Deathrattle minions, just like before GvG but improved with the new cards.
Since I've included back Voidwalker to have a cheap taunt and protect my early threats, I decided to give a try to Darkbomb and I'm pretty satisfied with it.
As I'm a conservative player, I often ended up keeping Soulfire for too long in my hand, therefore screwing a little bit with my Doomguard play.
Obviously, this card is still very good for Zoolock and the change is most importantly aimed at adjusting the curve ;)
Revision History 2 : Return of the Demons
After the big success Xixo had with his list, I've decided to give a shot to Imp-losion as the card allows you to establish board presence while controlling an ennemy threat. Sea Giant fits perfectly this kind of strategy, especially in the current meta where board are often filled with minions.
I ended up tweaking the list and took a look back at interactions that I've already used back when Naxxramas got released to adjust it to my preferences. All the credits still go to him for the original idea ;)
Excluding Darkbomb felt pretty natural since you don't want to play too much spell in a Zoo Deck and I decided to give a new chance to Power Overwhelming to go along with all the swarm, which lead me to include the second Nerubian Egg and a Void Terror.
I already used these synergies in the past but the Deck is less reliant on those with this set up and therefore feels more consistent ;)
Revision History 3 : Removed Sea Giant for Loatheb because too many Decks are using Big Game Hunter.
Revision History 4 & 5 : Adjusted some tech cards to improve consistency.
Here are some Gameplay Videos with this variant, part of my Legend Grinding Session Series ;)
Revision History 6 : Rise of the Demons
As I didn't updated the Deck since the Undertaker, BRM is the perfect opportunity to do it now ;) Especially since Imp Gang Boss is such a perfect card ! I decided to try out some combos from my Demonic Void Midrange Demonlock with the solid core that Zoo always had and it's working perfectly !
Haunted Creeper, Nerubian Egg, Boom Bot, Imp Gang Boss and Imp-losion make sure you generate a lot of value from Power Overwhelming, Abusive Sergeant, Knife Juggler, Dire Wolf Alpha, Void Terror, Defender of Argus and Sea Giant.
Voidcaller makes a return in the Deck to pull off some awesome tempo plays with Doomguard or summon the awesome Demonlord : Mal'Ganis !
Dr. Boom increases the curve a little bit but is perfect at giving you the last steam you need to finish a game, since Boom Bot are so damn annoying, or simply baiting Big Game Hunter for the previously mentionned Demonlord ;)

Closing
Although this variant is pretty consistent, feel free to experiment yourself with the new cards or try the initial/intermediate version and see what fits best your playstyle, there isn't one Deck to rule them all ;)
That's it for the guide guys, I hope you'll enjoy the Deck as much as I do !

Ahah yeah I see. Good =)
What you think about Hellfire? Are you considering it?
Hellfire is always a consideration for Zoo, helps coming back in the mirror match up and can help getting lethal ;)
It seems less relevant with the exclusion of Nerubian Egg however ^^
I usually add a Hellfire to my zoo decks these days, but my real question for this deck is... where the hell is the Defender of Argus?
I'm not sure if it will stay in Zoo or not but you certainly don't want to overload the 4-drop slots so you'll have to make choices between some good cards : Piloted Shredder, Enhance-o-mechano, Defender of Argus, Dark Iron Dwarf, etc.. (Hellfire, Voidcaller maybe for gimmicky variants)
I feel like 4-5 cards is the maximum for the curve and 3-4 is optimal ^^
Deck started at +1. Deck is still only at +1.
Stop showing zoo decks as if they're new and exciting. Show us something actually new and exciting instead. Kkthnx.
I'll do when the cards will actually be released so we can playtest ;)
Nobody sold this Deck as new or exciting and nobody cares about those +1 or whatever !
Zoo isn't going to die and I just tried to predict what it should look like. If you want to ignore popular ladder Decks, good luck adpating to the meta ;)
Both missing Defender of Argus in this deck, that everyone has thought about making since the expansion had been announced.
Yeah the Deck lacks slot since you want to play on Undertaker + Mech synergies, but Argus is still a strong option for Zoo and will be probably be played in variants of this ;)
It seems like Enhace-O Mechano largely fills the spot Argus took up. It has more potential but can obviously be worse in some situations. Maybe it would be good to run one of each...hard to say without testing the deck first.
Yeah but I actually only run one Enhance-O ^^ Yeah we need to test the cards and the Deck and we'll see if Argus is still mandatory or not ;)
LOL! Caught and Angry!
Its a pretty standard build man nothing special. Some of the cards your playing is even missing in this build. If i would make a mech zoo i would build it pretty similar to this one and I'm guessing a lot of people would.
Pretty sure sparks didn't copy your build....
Sorry man, this build doesn't belong to anyone. I just had to build something for the show and I didn't dove into Zoo Mechrattle deeper since the cards were shown.
I honestly didn't even remembered your Deck and yes I can see they are pretty similar, which isn't surprising as you will see on the ladder in a few time people will just play iterations of those Decks ;)
Please don't be so self-centered, people will obviously have really similar ideas ...
Hey man, I get your frustration and I already explained on that. I really think that being the first to post a Deck with that design doesn't mean much since everyone thought about Mech Zoo when they released the first few cards ...
Moreover, I took a look at the comments I posted back in the past and I can definitely see that the Deck had another look, so maybe I should be accusing you from stealing ideas ? It's sarcastic obviously, don't get your hatred out but what I want to point out is that I definitely didn't copy pasted your Deck but rather applied some obvious ideas that everyone had.
At the time I checked your build you were missing the 2 core cards that I focused the Deck around, so how can an "honest deck builder" like you can go ahead with the statement that I stole your ideas ? oO
My second comment on your post is describing the situation we are actually in pretty accurately since I already stated that I will work on my own build (which is of course Mechs + Deathrattle like everyone thought for Zoo but with different starting point apparently) :
So please man, I respect your work and be sure that if I'm inspired by someone for a Deck design, I'll definitely be quoting it in my post (as I already did in the past for my Snake Bite Hunter) so stop being self-centered and let it go !
One last thing, I'm not the one doing big posts on the site or whatever, moderators are chosing to do so and since I was invited by TheChiv to his Deck Talk show, I had to dive deeper into my ideas (which once again, seem pretty obvious considering the expansion), it's seem logical that they showcased that with the video support since they always spotlighted "Deck Talk With TheChiv" videos ...
I'm happy that you respect my work and I also do for every other Deckbuilders out there including you and can definitely recognize when people inspired me on something, so please don't detoriorate your image and stop polluting this post with your ego ;)
I'm patient and usually deal with ragers politely or completely ignore them but here you really pissed me off because I can't stand being accused for false facts !
i think bomb is better than soulfire?
It's possible, I'm not sure yet but we'll have to see how Soulfire vs Bomb does ;)
It's hard to say right now, but I would hazard a guess that Bomb>Soulfire in Handlock, but Soulfire>Bomb in Zoolock.
I don't think Soulfire is worth it at all.
Kinda agree with Kennyboisan on paper.
I would probably prefer playing a minion than the bomb in Zoo and 4 damage for 1 mana is not to be underestimated since you don't really the drawback, however the Bomb seems to fit Handlock or Control playstyle a lot more.
Anyway, only future will tell but yes the Bomb is a strong card ^^
