Intro:
Greetings, fellow summoners! I present to you the latest and greatest aggro Shaman deck featuring: Mechs! Bloodlust has always been one of my favorite cards, for not only its awesome effect but for the animation and nostalgia from the original Warcraft games so I wanted to make a deck that centers around that. Naturally, a lot of the best token generating cards we have these days are mechs like Microtech Controller, Harvest Golem, Explodinator and Replicating Menace so I figured going the mech theme would be perfect! One of the reasons this deck works so well is because after rotation into Year of the Dragon a lot of classes lost their early removal spells so it's much easier to stick those early wide boards. If you like winning on turn 5, or just winning in general then keep reading! Full write up below :)
General Strategy:
Board control is extremely import because most of your damage is going to come from your Bloodlust win condition or with a big Sea Giant or Wargear. Using your early minions like Mecharoo, Sludge Slurper, Hench-Clan Hogsteed, Feral Spirit, etc, allows you to gain board control pretty easily and then you can flood the board with Microtech Controller, Explodinator, Replicating Menace, etc to setup for a big Bloodlust.
Because we don't have any card draw in this deck we have to be extremely cautious about potential board clears. This means not over extending a bunch of 1-2 health minions on turn 4 against Warrior because of Warpath or having some deathrattle minions going into turn 5 because of Brawl, not leaving a lot of 1 health minions on turn 4 vs Druid because ofSwipe, etc. Sometimes, depending on the hand we are given we have no choice but to flood the board with fragile minions and hope our opponent doesn't have the removal to clear our board, but when given the option a lot of times I would put down a Harvest Golem over Microtech Controller, for example going into those turns that my opponent might have board clear. You don't ALWAYS need to Bloodlust on 5, so sometimes making those boards of 2-3 minions with deathrattles are better to make it more awkward for your opponent to have to deal with. Going wide and using Bloodlust is not our only win condition either since we can push a lot of damage by just magnetizing our mechs like Replicating Menace, Wargear and Zilliax for some "charge" damage.
Mulligans:
*The most important thing with an aggressive deck like this is the curve. Ideally you want to have a 1-drop on turn 1, 2-drop on turn 2, 3-drop on turn 3, etc.*
Mecharoo, Sludge Slurper, Dire Wolf Alpha, Hench-Clan Hogsteed, Knife Juggler, Feral Spirit, Harvest Golem, Microtech Controller
Exceptions -
- Can keep Explodinator or Replicating Menace if you're on the coin and you have a good 1 and 2 cost minion.
- Can keep Replicating Menace or Wargear against Warrior if you have at least 2 other 1-3 cost minions (Mechs and deathrattle minions are tough for Warrior to deal with)
- Can toss Dire Wolf Alpha and Knife Juggler against Rogue if you already have a couple good 1-3 drops and going second (2 health is easy for Rogue to kill)(when going first it's still important to have a 1-drop on turn 1, 2-drop on turn 2, 3-drop on 3, etc)
- Harvest Golem/ Feral Spirit > Microtech Controller if offered both (however, if going second you can keep both if you have a Mecharoo to coin one out on 2 then curve the other on 3)
Replacements:
I hope you like this deck and, as always, if you have any questions or have a suggestion please comment below (I respond to all comments)!

And here is a great deck showcase by Kiwiinbacon:
Im at rank 5 and im at 5-1 win/loss. I think your doing something wrong
Hello!
With what I can replace Zilliax ?
It says you can replace it with Hench-Clan Hag
Okay , gonna do it my man , your call <3 didn't read , sorry my mistake
Hi, would Leeroy have any place here? thanks!
Hello! I would say not, just because you really only have enough mana for Leeroy Jenkins OR Bloodlust usually and Bloodlust will almost always do more damage. If you have 10 mana to be able to do the combo of both, you either have lost already or have enough mana to double Bloodlust anyway. Hope this clarifies it! :)
I find that it is very easy to run out of cards in hand with this deck, also area removals can finish your game. As with the Zoolock, very strong if the opponent does not have area removals, but extremely vulnerable if they have. I'm 1-4 with this deck, having lost against 3 warriors and a rogue.
You're exactly right, which is why you have to play this deck a little bit differently than Zoolock. With Zoolock you can just dump all your minions on the board and refill with your hero power, but with this deck you can't just dump your entire hand on the board and expect to win. Against classes with a lot of removal like Warrior or Shaman, sometimes its best to keep your board at 3-5 minions with a mixture of deathrattle minions (Harvest Golem, Replicating Menace, etc) and larger minions (Wargear, Sea Giant). As long as you chip down your opponent in the first few turns of the game, a Bloodlust on 4 minions is still usually like 20 damage. I almost never go full wide to 7 minions against those classes that have a lot of board removal. From the looks of it, Warrior is the matchup people are losing to most and I'm guessing its because people aren't playing around Warpath. So ALWAYS keep in mind how much damage Warpath can do on any turn and try to keep your minions above that threshold. If the minions in your hand aren't above that threshold to survive Warpath, then don't put any more down and just hero power.
Absolutley not a bad deck, im currently stuck at rank 4 because of so many OTK decks. So i searched for an aggro deck..
This deck can be strong but it's to slow at this rank. Deck really relies on a good mulligan and draws need to be on point.
People can anticipate on the ''soul of the murloc'' combo and the opponents know you'll get BL when u pop stormchaser and play around it. For lower ranks this deck will work, not at 5-legend.
I've got like 40-45% winrate over 20 games and got me back to rank 5.
With 4 1-drops and 7 2-drops it should be fairly consistent with the mulligan provided that you're looking for your early curve. Over a 1/3 of your deck is a card you can play on the first couple turns, not counting if you go second, then you can coin out a 3-drop. The thing about Soul of the Murloc or Bloodlust is it doesn't really matter if your opponent anticipates it or not because your game plan is always the same, 'flood the board and win'. Similar to playing against a Murloc Shaman or Token Druid, you always have to assume that your opponent has Bloodlust or Savage Roar in hand, so its a similar concept here.
I have proven that this deck DOES work at 5-legend as you can see in this guide. If you let me know some more specific matchups that you're struggling against or certain points in the game that you feel you start to lose, I would be happy to help! :)
With this deck I won at turn 4. Incredible!
That's awesome!! Sure beats playing as a control Warrior with hour long matches haha
very good deck, it rocks
Thanks! :)
Hát eléggé érdekes egy deck...mechanika az jó de 0:10 vesztés :D
In case you're expecting board clear turn 7 like flamestrike , The Storm Bringer is coming down to 6 mana in the mech rise. I'd play that in here for fun.
Good point! I will definitely be testing out SN1P-SN4P and The Storm Bringer once the update goes live!
I'm confused by the scarab egg. It often ends up sitting on the board until the bloodlust turn. Is the whole point of it for it to just sit there and get ignored?
It is very good to synergize with Dire Wolf Alpha and Flametongue Totem to trade and generate minions. Most of the time i'll put it down right before I think my opponent will play a board clear. For example, using it into a Consecration, Blizzard, Brawl, Dyn-o-matic, Lightning Storm, Hagatha's Scheme, etc. It just makes it very awkward for your opponent to board clear
Mech shaman! Reminds me of the GvG days with powermace and whirling zap o matic. Thanks for sharing :)
