Welcome to my heal druid on steroids.
Strategy:
Against aggro we just try to survive, the deck has so much heal that its normally not a big problem.
Against control we rely on Lucentbark to build us a wall. Note that N'Zoth and Hadronox give back a copy of Lucentbark for each time he has died during the game! Running 2x Poison Seeds to counter Big Priest and Demon Warlocks. Priest is still the most annoying match-up because of Entomb, if I fail to bait it out then I often try to hold off playing Lucentbark till I have drawn Flobbidinous Floop, then casting it + Faceless Manipulator to pretty much guarantee us a board.. takes a long time to set up though :/ Still think I have at least a 50% chance to defeat those pesky big priests though.
Tips: vs control I often hero power stuff just to take damage on my hero. Also some games you end up with a full board of Lucentbark, so I try to favor using minion based heal early and save the spells if possible in case of such a scenario.
Updates:
Cut: Keeper Stalladris, Wrath and Raven Idol
Added: Prince Keleseth, Deathlord and Spreading Plague
Fun list, i also run my own version of heal druid but im definitely trying this one !!!
It's really good at low ranks and I had and I'm having a lot of fun playing it.
Since I'm missing Zola the Gorgon and Ancient of Lore I swapped them for Lifeweaver (with good value played on curve and on healing combo) and Ultimate Infestation (during some matches i felt the lack of efficient card draw in late game, so the card saved my life in some cases).
In the end the deck is consistent also versus aggro. Until now I haven't faced many priests but i think that the tips you provided are reliable ;)
Glad to hear you are enjoying it! I think those are very reasonable changes, the first version I built also ran Ultimate Infestation but I found it too hard to cast most of the time, but we might also have different playstyles so you might not have the same issue. The Lifeweaver was one I at first considered but didn't end up including, though now that I've played a ton of games with the deck, you might be right that it's a solid inclusion, we do after all heal A LOT. =)
First of all thank you for the reply =)
I'm a bit late in posting but I tried different matches and i felt my ladder situation settled down in a different way as I started enjoying this deck. I've started facing in a more efficient way aggro opponents and also my playstyle changed up a bit, being somehow more "conservative" or in other words more reasonable in respect of the resources in hand. So at a certain point the Ultimate Infestation slot became vacant as my hand was always full and the card lost its original purpose.
For now I've decided to replace the card with a tech and in particular I found that using Deathlord in a wise way let the deck win in different matchups versus aggro, control and combo. In the first case it is a cheap taunt that can waste enemies' resources and it's another wall creature for an emergency Hadronox/N'Zoth, the Corruptor that had to be pulled off before Lucentbark has died enough times. Versus the other matchups it becames a good combo/battlecry breaker and in some cases versus greedy decks, with also some good RNG from Lifeweaver and Raven Idol that adds at least one more Naturalize to the hand, the deck undergoes an unexpected "milling" style drift that often surprises the opponent too xD (this luckily happened at least two times versus quest mages that lost their Archmage Antonidas early and then conceded. I have to underline that this is in particular an unfavorable matchup under different and more common conditions).
If you have any other good and versatile replacements that were discarded during the deck creation please let me (and also us viewers) know.
Thank you in advance =)
Hi again! Sorry about this late reply.
I tried your Deathlord suggestion, and I definitely agree it's a great addition. Sounds like you have been playing quite a lot and having good fun with it, makes me happy to see!
The changes I've been trying out lately are:
- Keeper Stalladris, Wrath and Raven Idol
+ Prince Keleseth, Deathlord and Spreading Plague
These cuts were painful as I really like to discover things during games, but I think it might be the right direction to go (at least with the fast meta I keep running into). I'm also seriously considering adding a Harrison Jones against rogue.
