MULLIGAN ADVICE
make sure you have a curve first, before these mulligans, meaning, dont keep 3 3 drops even tho i said they were good cards.
vs control/combo fledgling, greedy sprite, keleseth
vs aggro/midrange firefly, keleseth, tar creeper, mind control tech, fledgling. sometimes glacial shard and saronite if your curve is really good.
remember, even tho glacial shard costs 1, its not powerful at all
General ideas and Tips
-against control you want to go face even if there are good value trades to be made
-Against aggro you want to control that board until you get your big minions online and can go face to end the game.
-Never be afraid to mill with UI. your deck is not going to win fatigue ever.
- Play spitefuls and lich kings before drawing with ui.
-If you dont kill minions you can let your opponent play into mind control techs
CARD CHOICES.
Spiteful druid is a very very flexible deck, so dont take my choices as 100% correct, make your own tech choices!
Glacial Shard- Not great in the opening, how ever i consider it a very useful curve filler card allowing you to freeze an enemy minion and stall for time to play a funal mancer or vicious fledgling.
Firefly- CORE card in the deck, synergizes with fungal mancer in control match ups and really helps you stall against aggro.
Keleseth- CORE duh
Greedy Sprite- CORE, ramp is crucial in getting to spiteful or a big taunt a turn earlier.
Mind control tech- This is a really strong card in the meta since against control its a 3/3 and you can sometimes steal a really powerful card against a priest. and it really helps you stay alive against odd paladin and other aggro decks. spiteful cannot keep tempo against aggro, so tools like mct let you survive to your big swing turns.
Tar creeper- solid anti aggro tool, not much more to say.
vicious fledgling- CORE CARD. this card alone is why this decks works in the meta, you face priest. you hard mulligan for it since you just win the game with it sometimes. a 3/3 win the game against control sometimes is very powerful, and if you ever think about not running in spiteful druid, you should feel ashamed, and put it back in the deck.
Flobbininous Floop- coreish card, if you have it, run it, but you can still play the deck with out it. solid on nearly everyone of your minions, and especially good on spiteful. play on curve if you have no other play.
Saronite chain gang- sets up for fungal mancers, great anti aggro card, good against big minions, really solid 4 mana card,
Spell breaker- so good again the meta, and since we dont have ooze, we need a way to get through those void daddys
Druid of the claw- this may seem like a weird option, but having the choice of two forms in this meta is very powerful, since it can be a worse zilliax to kill a hyena, or assert pressure with charge, or get the lethal, or make a big leave me alone taunt... and ect, it has alot of utility,
Fungalmancer- CORE, its powerful, please run this card.
Zilliax- CORE duh
Malfurian- CORE Great flexible later game tool, really powerful stabilization tool against burn or aggro decks with the taunts and armor, against control, it provides fungal mancer targets and a heropower that pressures the opponent.
Spiteful- CORE duh
Archivist- Is basically your third UI so you are nearly garanteed to have a way of hand refill by either turn 8 or 10.
Lich King- powerful end game tool against control, will have likley used hard removal on spiteful by the time you play it.
UI- CORE, THE NUTS
Cards i didn't include, but you should if you like them
-Dire mole, i found my anti aggro tools sufficient, but if you are still struggling, swap this out for glacial
- Druid of the sythe- solid, but not better than tar creeper in my opinion
-Crypt lord- better tar creeper against odd paladin, worse against hunter, your call
-Ooze, - solid choice, i prefer mcts tho
-Void ripper- have not tested it since i dont own it
-Fire plume phoenix- not better than saronite, against most match ups.
-Cobalt Scalebane- not good when you are behind, and you often are against aggro by turn 5, and against control turn 5 is their mass hysteria or brawl turn, so its not powerful in either situation,
- Leeroy- I found the deck has enough burst already
- cairne- not powerful enough to fit our curve, but if you want it, go for it
- skulking- not as good since hunters mark and cold blood were buffed to avoid skulking giest
-Nerubian unraveler- could be alright, however its a 6 mana 5/5
-another Archivist- reasonable, just what are you cutting for it.
ok, im tired :), hope my guide helped atleast a little, whether you are deck building or playing.
and this dude wanted me to embed his video, so
So far im doing very well with this druid. I like how it can build a lot of pressure. Only problem is when you are unlucky enough to sit on both UI at turn 6...
I went from rank 10 to 7 within 2.5 hours. I have a hard time against hunters and even locks. The rest is pretty fine.
OFantastic deck! I was stuck at rank 2 surrounded by even warlocks, wall priests, and OTK priests. This deck does well against all three, and I threw in a tinkmaster overspark to hard counter the priests (and hit some Giants too).
Even when Tinkmaster doesn't highroll, it often turns your glacial shard, firefly, or Keleseth into a 5/5. I cut one Tar Creeper for Tinkmaster. If you're playing against a more aggressive meta, I would cut a glacial shard or Lich King for it. Lich King is surprisingly weak against Priests.
I also have one disagreement with the mulligan guide. I think this deck should be far more conservative on mulligans, since every card you mulligan increases your chances of getting UI early. I kept Greedy Spries, Spellbreakers, chain gangs and funglemancers almost regardless of matchup.
edit: One other thing. These are the available 10 cost minions in standard:
Ultrasaur (7/14), Tyrantus (12/12 spectral), Sea Giant (8/8), Mulchmuncer (8/8 rush), Mecha'thun (10/10, Hakkar (9/6 DR), Emeriss (8/8), Deathwing (12/12).
The key things to note about that list: There are ZERO taunts at 10 mana. If you play this and you're dead on board, you will never get a tuant. You could get Mulchmuncher. You have a 12.5% chance to do so. That should inform your decision to try that as opposed to either playing UI or Archivist from hand, or playing taunts or other rush/charge minions when you're losing. Worth noting, Mulchmuncher DOES NOT work like charged devilsaur and cannot go face immediately when summoned. Mecha'thun and Hakkar have some fringe benefits that rarely come into play, but can give you some funny highlights. I did win because of Hakkar in one case, never Mecha'thun, since you would need to play both UI. But usually, getting Hakkar is a death sentence if you were planning on playing another Spiteful, since the corrupted bloods are 1 mana spells.
trash, dis
Has anyone tried putting in leeroy jenkins or tinkmaster overspark in the deck to counter wallpriest, leeroy also works well with flobbidinous
floop for 12 damage but which card to replace and is it a good idea.
Hey man, nice deck!!!!!!!! I'm currently on a win streak at level 7, after a rough start. My best opening hand: Prince Keleseth and Flobidinious Floop....... Here's the replay:

I even managed to win a game after drawing both UI before the Spitefulls........

What do you think about adding a Glutonous Ooze?
Regards
Thanks for posting, I switched [[Witchwood Grizzly]] for [[Druid of the Claw]] but otherwise the list has been working great and is really fun.
What would be the best replacement for Flobbidinous Floop?
You might try Faceless Manipulator or Prince Taldaram, but the Prince is not good in this deck as you have many (3) mana cards.
ooze, leeroy, cairne, another archivist, perhaps just a diremole or a crypt lord, really anyone of the cards i listed at the bottom.. however i would not reccomend faceless manipulator or taldaram at all
Fun deck to play, very flexible, and has a pretty high power level in the current meta (when you actually get to use your Spiteful Summoner). My only complaint is that it is extremely inconsistent, it all depends on how your cards were shuffled at the beginning of the game. So many times you'll be getting both UI before the turn 7, and there's nothing you can do about it.
almost lost on my first game with this deck, this deck is fun and valid, will play this in advance, thx
3 games in a row drew both Ultimate Infestation's by turn 7 lol... what luck. Literally conceded every match cause it was control priest and deathrattle hunter... made the whole deck useless.
you are heavily favored vs control priest and can often beat deathrattle hunter. often times you dont get your spiteful off, however thats kind of the point of the deck, if you dont get spiteful, that means you have the most broken card in the game in your hand.
Dang really? I find myself losing to control priest often... i have much more luck against aggro.
This is a very good deck! I always just copy a deck and don't usually read through the content, but this time I did!
This deck could be play against aggro, mid-range and control thus it's durable to play.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Good job dude appreciate your afford :)
It's durable to play on the current ladder and you don't have to swap between decks.
For those who aren't money player should consider this deck.
hhaha thanks for the kind words. yeah its a very unpolarized deck and unless you get nutted on by your opponent, you always have a chance depending on your plays
Hey! Looks like a really fun deck! Any suggestions to replace Flobbidinous Floop , Malfurion the Pestilent and Zilliax ?
I think they are crucial, but mal>floop
The deck will not be nearly as good, but id recommend putting in some of the cards i chose not to include, which you can see near the bottom. probably cards like colbalt and what not
