Mulligans
General
Always keep Backstab (it does not need to be discussed 😊 ). Prince Keleseth because the sooner you buff your deck the better. Fire Fly is also a good keep as it is your the only 1 mana drop. Hench-Clan Thug is a really good 3 mana drop while you got your weapon equipped.
With Coin SI:7 Agent to kill enemy’s 1 and 2 mana drops. Elven Minstrel to draw early.
Perfect opening hand is with Fire Fly, Prince Keleseth and Shadowstep.
vs Aggro
You don’t want them to dominate the early game so always keep Backstab, Fire Fly, Prince Keleseth, Fan of Knives and sometimes it is good to keep Saronite Chain Gang to protect yourselves from enemies rushing in your face.
You can also keep Edwin VanCleef or SI:7 Agent if you have Backstab or Coin to take an advantage in the early game.
vs Hunters !ALWAYS KEEP! Chief Inspector, because there is nothing more savage than playing it when the enemy has 3 or more secrets on the table 😉 .
vs Control
You want to play really aggressively in early to leave the opponent on low HP, before he draws his defence and then finish him with Leeroy Jenkins and Cold Blood.
Keep Prince Keleseth, Fire Fly, Hench-Clan Thug, Cold Blood to dominate early.
It is good to keep Elven Minstrel when you got Backstab or Coin to strengthen your hand.
vs Warlock: If you got good early in opening hand you can also keep Vilespine Slayer to prevent him from taking advantage playing Mountain Giant early.
Replacements and Cores
Cores:
Prince Keleseth is an absolute core in this deck as it buffs pretty well with Shadowstep and Spirit of the Shark and gives a lot of value.
The archetype of the deck describes another core: Spirit of the Shark which works pretty well with other cards ( Fungalmancer buff +4/+4 is pretty awesome :) ).
I would rather not advise you to replace Edwin VanCleef as it is a real problem for your opponent when you play it with Spirit of the Shark.
Replacements:
Gral, the Shark is not a necessity in this deck as it can be silenced, polymorphed, hexed or sapped and you will lose 1 or 2 minions. The better choice is Sonya Shadowdancer as it gives a lot of value ( Saronite Chain Gang 1/1 summons the 2/3 because of the latest 'nerf' ).
Leeroy Jenkins can possibly be replaced with Reckless Rocketeer but have in mind you would not be able to use the combo charge + Cold Blood + Shadowstep + charge as it will cost you 11 mana instead of 8 when you play Leeroy Jenkins
If you don't face many hunters you can replace Chief Inspector with any card that would work with the deck archetype.
Zilliax is not a core but it helps you survive as it is your the only heal. Works really well with Cold Blood. But as survival, you can replace it with Bonemare.
Instead of Seaforium Bomber you can try Gurubashi Hypemon for more value :)
kiwiinbacon has made a wonderful video showing how the deck works and how he wins some games with it. I am encouraging you guys to check his YT channel :)
Also user named Khristophesaurus Dinosaurus made a YT video playing this deck :)
The shark eats the fire fly... Every gods damn time.
Very one-sided deck that heavily relies on having board control to make a tempo swing in the midrange turns. But without rogue's 2 mana spells you wont have board control against aggro.
Fun games vs slower decks, insta concede vs all variants of hunter, odd paladin, odd rogue, tempo mage and zoo warlock.
yeah I found this deck to not be good enough to ladder with for the same reasons. sharks are fun, but they rarely actually lend to a deck being good against aggro and you need to stomp aggro to be a good ladder deck.
unfortunately every more inventive rogue deck |I've tried in a while has fell victim to the same problems. They are not quick enough to ever stand a chance against aggro. and sometimes you need to draw too specific a selection of cards to get things going.
I do agree on this point. (when I was talking about the spell power/burn deck however I was just saying that this exists and it's good if you're good. I've seen dog do alright with it, but then that's dog. probably has about a 40% win rate I'd imagine)
Try myra rotspring .... runs well for me!
Is Saronite Chain Gang still worth it after the nerf?
i try stonehill instead..the results are as good!!sometimes even better!!
It's cool since you still get 2/3 as a copy when you get 1/1 copy from Sonya Shadowdancer
Not using Sonya Shadowdance though. Don't plan to craft it too
I will play around yes, but in general, such a deck as Odd Rogue worked quite well last meta, didn't it? Can we really say that for rogue everything depends on initial hand?
trying something similar. have you tried out some life drinkers? also those new guys that give you 1/1 death rattle minions might be alright.
EDIT: sorry dude. I'd not realized I'd posted a bunch of comments in a row. I thought they would be part of other comments in the thread or something.
I can ask a mod to delete some of them or something man. sorry about that.
if you have an interest in playing tempo rogue at all, it's a really safe craft. it will always be in decks I'm sure.
this was the same problems with the rogue decks last meta I found. you needed key cards early or will loose. it is probably a problem with rogue in general I think and not many ways to work around. if you have something you find to be more refined though, I'd love to take a look.
I haven't crafted anything yet from the new set and looking for a quick in to see what it's like.
how is the hypemon? I don't really wanna craft the bomber as I don't think I have it.
How is this? I'm just returning again for this meta to check it out. I have most of these cards so can get it running right away if it's worth it do you think? just need to craft an epic for it.
Swapped out Gral and Fan of Knives for a Lifedrinker and Mojomaster Zihi. Zihi ist a MUST PLAY in this deck imo... no cards with more than 5 mana. Perfect match to destroy enemys high cost cards (Zujin, LichKing, Tirion for example....)
works fine
дай код своей сборки
add zola, sonya and lifedrinker

This is what I got with some changes. Seriously this deck is extremely fun !!!
Thumbs up !
REKT-ing HUNTERS :) !
I really like the premise of this deck, but it appears to rely way too much on the initial draw and also seems to be too top heavy.
If you get the initial conditions pat, you are ok, but as soon as you start with either heavier cards or combo cards only, you are dead.
Basically, while you have a 50% chance to draw a 0-3 cost card, the chances that you will have 2x 0-3 cost cards on initial draw, that will allow you to do something aggressive, are only 25%. Even with mulligan, you can only raise this to ~50%, so half the time, you will not be able to do much on the first 3 turns, unless your next draws are better.
When this deck works, it is great. When it doesn't you are up against a cubelocked Voidlord without any silencer, or without mass removal for Hunter's Emerald Spellstone.
I haven't watched the video with explanations yet, but I think for a deck which must play aggro (as described by poster), there is way too steep mana curve.
