I don’t understand what this deck is trying to do. What’s the point of putting in 3 0 mana cards? Why fel reaver? Why treacherary with no Doomsayer?
fel reaver states, "whenever your opponent plays a card, remove the top 3 cards of your deck." The idea is to have a bunch of 0 mana cards to cast when you Treachery the fel reaver to your opponents side, essentially milling them of all their tools to remove your big threats. Corruption is in their to deny them a free minion if you don't have a board state to contest it. This deck is less about cheating out big minions and more about denying resources to your opponent, so when the darkness hits the board, it has a high chance of sticking and awakening on the next turn. The deck is still in flux, however, the theme of it is based around Fel Reaver + The Darkness. It's possible that this deck needs more hard removal spells and less of the possesed lackey/demonlock archetype to free up your hand size, but I'm still not sure how exactly to go about doing that.
Some might say I should cut the darkness and just make this a mill deck that doesn't use coldlights. To that I say, this is a combo deck, not a mill deck. I have experimented with the darkness in pretty much all classes and I've found the best results come when you can deny resources rather than have multiple copies of it (though there is an archetype that can work like that). I've tested it with Simulacrum elemental mage (though i'm missing jaina for it) and spell hunter (with Stitched Tracker). In both scenarios, I can make it work up until the point that I really need to have a 20/20 minion on the board, at that point the game's already won or lost. In case you can't tell at this point, I like the theme of the darkness and probably won't ever cut it from a deck I make with it in it, I want to find a way to make it work. That being said, the best use case for it that I've found, is to deny good Spiteful Summoner draws, but to do that, the deck needs to be popular and you need to have some way to copy it into your hand or open with it. Overall, it's a really niche card that has the potential to work in some insane ways, however, it needs help to keep the board state stable, otherwise it's really only a crappy counter to a specific archetype. Rogue has the most tools to make it work, but even then it feels the deck needs to based around it to make it work.
I'm not sure how the Possessed Lackey-Howlfiend interaction will work out for you. If I where you I'd focus on the Fel Reaver plan you have :)
Replacing Howlfiend with another Fel Reaver would make this a lot more consistent, I just wanted to put it in to remove all threats to The Darkness that will come down the turn after. This is basically a "protect the president" build, where The Darkness is the president. XD
Oh yeah, The Darkness is in there too. XD
Remove it
