Hi. I play Hearthstone since April 2017 (Ungoro release) and since this season I reach at least 5th rank every season. Till now my highest rank was 2nd with 4 stars. I hit Legend with this deck in January (Season 46) and this was my first Legend ever. I started this season with Aggro Paladin and stuck on rank 2nd because many of Raza Priests decks and lot of Cube Warlocks. I decide to switch deck to this Giants and I finished my Legend climb with 6-0 winratio.
Proof of Legend:
Here was my final boss game:
Cards picks explanation:
This deck is control version of Warlock. Is fun to play and has couple of strategies that You can apply during Your matches. Has many board clears against aggro decks and powerfull giants whose well synergies with Naga Sea Witch. Demons package give this deck ability to board control and power up value of Bloodreaver Gul'dan in late game.
Game plan against aggro decks like: Aggro Paladin, Aggro Token Druid, Zoo Warlock, Pirate Warrior
Your main goal in those matchups is to survive. In mulligan you looking for Defile, Hellfire, Doomsayer. You can keep Voidcaller if You have coin its because he contest the board and helps You putting Your demons on board. In early/mid game You have to put Your demons onto board asap. Combo Voidcaller + Sacrificial Pact / Dark Pact into Voidlord can give You win in those matchups. In late game Bloodreaver Gul'dan is win condition.
Gameplan against slower decks: Reno Priest, Big Priest, Jade Druid, Malygos Druid, Cube Warlock, Mirror.
Always keep Kobold Librarian. Search for Naga Sea Witch. If You are sure that matchup will be control then You may keep one of giant. Best choice is Clockwork Giant it's because Your opponent will collect many cards in his hand. Molten Giant is good to keep too because from 2nd turn You will mainly life tap. If You have Coin or/and Kobold Librarian You can keep Mountain Giant to put him in 4th or 5th turn. It's very important that You have in mind Priest and Druid has cards like Lightbomb and Poison Seeds to kill Your giants so You have to be sure that You want to put all of Your giants in safe moment.
If You are curious about my ladder experience with this deck, some ladder stats or want to know what is the game plan for some matchups or maybe card picks please vote and I will extend this article.
If You like this deck please leave vote.

First time legend approach - You know ;)
dont have loatheb and i will buy curse of naxxramas but not now , after like a month , so can this deck work with nerubian unraveler instead until then ?will the deck still be good at climbing?
also do u think doomgaurd would be good instead of 1 sea giant and 1 lesser spell stone ? or instead of what ? or ar they unnecessary ?
also no shadow flame? or twisting nether?
i used shadow flame and 2nd dark bomb instead of 2nd sea giant and loatheb , what do u think is better , should i craft 2nd sea giant ? i can but should i ?
In this season I play more casual in wild ladder with this deck and I reach 4th rank. Play on mobile when I back from work and sometimes 1h after work. This deck will be still solid until blizzard decide to change Naga Sea Witch. My current build is:
- 1x Sea Giant and, 1x Lesser Spell Stone
+ 1x Dark Bomb, 1x Posessed Lackey
Those changes is because of secret mages. Your swaps are viable too. Speaking of Loatheb. This card is very usefull against spells which could harm Your Naga Sea Witch combo. Nerubian Unraveler works in similar way so this swap is good. I'm not using Twisting Nether becuase deck has lot of clear board potential.
i agree with these changes but , what do u think about doom gaurds, or faceless manipulaters into malganis ?
or what about skulking geist to counter other cubelocks, inner fire priest, jade druid , etc ?
and about posessed lackey , what if it pulls void caller?
iv had a game where shadow flaming my gaint saved me a win from another cubelock
also because sea giant is the worst of the gaints because on turn 5 mostly he wont be 0 mana with the witch, should i replace him with doom gaurd ? or does doom gaurd creat the problem that it give me less chance to revive malganis with blood reaver ?
also can nzoth or rin fit in this deck ?i dont have them but should i craft them or one of them ? will it be better or worse?
Sure You can try those swaps / techs but I prefer this list cause its fit for my gamestyle. PS I didn't face much jade druids. I face lot of secret mages / aggro paladins and cube warlocks. Sorry for late answer.
what if im facing control , and i have a mountain giant in hand , should i look for sea witch and discard it or should i keep it for a possible late turn 4 mountain giant ?
In control matchups You always looking for Naga Sea Witch. Additionally when You play witch in 5th turn is most probably that You can play also Mountain Giant in the same turn so You should always fishing for witch in control plays.
dude i love the fact that u actually take time to reply to me , thanks alot , so i have one last question
lets say im against aggro pally or secret mage , i have void caller and sacrifical pact , and a hellfire
should i keep the void caller and sacrfical pact , incase i get void lord or malganis is hand ? take a note , i also run sense demons to increase the chance of doing so , SO should i keep these 2 and throw away hellfire because its a bit too slow ?
if its secret mage i should keep the sacrifical pact and void caller and if its aggro pala i shouldnt ? because i should look for defiles more against pala? ?
Its totally fine that u ask me about those cards / swaps / game plans - maybe I will aggregate this and put into this article. Lets got to the aggro matchup. In this matchup Ill never keep Hellfire cause its to slow. You can keep Voidcaller with Sacrificial Pact cause its synergize with Your other demons and Voidcaller does some board presence. In aggro matchup Your task is to find early game and board clears.
right , thank you again , there is something id like to share , so i dont have loatheb and i will get him sooner or later (by buying the adventure) but i didnt have him so i replaced him with faceless manipluator (dont have taldaram ethier) and i cant just describe how GOOD and flexible this card is !! so many games won because i copied my malganis or void lord in dire needs , or copy enemy strongest minion when i dont have any to play , this card seriously made me win in some games that loatheb would have been useless in
but overall , what is the more flexible / higher win rate card , loatheb , or faceless manipulator?
sorry for asking alot :)
Loatheb for sure is better pick to this deck. When Naga Sea Witch pulls your big boyz on boardLoatheb task is secure board from devastating spells.Faceless Manipulator and Prince Taldaram are good picks in Cubelock.
Loatheb is super important against miracle / kingsbane rogue cause block cycle / card bouncing / sap / vanish.
ture , well i have him now . so u said u currently use -1 sea giant and -1 lesser stone for +1 dark bomb and +1 possessed lackey ?
what do u think about sense demons instead of possesed lackey ? what do u think is the better over all?
I never used Sense Demons. I think this card is better than Possessed Lackey in this deck.
You can put
Possessed LackeyandSylvanas Windrunner. N'Zoth, the Corruptor or/and Shadowflame.Loatheb is universal card and fit to many wild decks.
Cards picks explanation will be published today.
