it won't even be played in mill rogue. mill rogue is a deck based on reusing big turns and combos to burn enemy cards whilst healing yourself. You already win the fatigue game if it gets that far, so this won't fit there. It literally doesn't fit into any deck and if there are new cards in TgT that slow down the game and benefit late game rogue, guaranteed you will just see ragnaros, sneed's old shredder, and maybe malygos, because those are the only decent big legendaries and all are MUCH better than anu-barak in ANY situation. The only way this would be better in its current state is if they gave it a stupid tribe, and cards with "your nerubians get X"
I don't feel it makes much sense in the modern mill rogue. It's a wasted card slot since the entire purpose of mill rogue is to draw out your opponent not play heavy creatures. If that was the case then clockwork giant would suffice even stronger, but it's not.
Its like Malorne, it "never dies" you can replay it infinite times. Im not saying its good for mill rogue, Im saying that it can maybe be good.
Buff to Spellbreaker
honestly, that's common sense, but it would still be completely unplayable
At least Ysera would synergize with a rogue dragon deck too, Anub'arak has no synergy.
6 7 would great ^^
you'd expect more from a 9 mana class legendary ... the druid one is amazing though
wish the atk and the health was more distributed :<
Finally a card that I can use to beat Heroic General Drakkisath PogChamp
Cool effect, not very good though.
Well Malorne + Rivendare does shuffle two Malornes into your deck, so you will probably get two Anub'araks.
On the bright side the enemy would never want to BGH this card :3
How most people rate legendarys
No instant effect = crap
Above 7 attack = BGH target
4HP= lol, Bad
Deathrattle= Silence it
With that being said. I could see this card finding it place, can't play it by itself but its deathrattle is neat, If it goes back to your hand, It might be worth while playing it again. Rogue first need to find a way to play other decks first, I don't want oil to go away but if there a way to do combo, control and pirate (my dream) deck in a viable way. Anub could be viable too.
good luck getting pass rank 16 with this card
I preferred it before the nerf
it looks more cooler with empty stats
In the current state of the game, whenever you play a 9-mana creature you want it to do something immediately (Alexstrasza, Cenarius, Jaraxxus etc.). The meta needs to slow down QUITE A BIT in order for Anub'arak to be viable, plus Rogue will have to get a whole new deck archetype (Control Rogue?).
It's a bit underwhelming for a character like Anub'arak, but valuewise it's a very sticky minion (due to the deathrattle) and a big powerful tank. The biggest downside is that you'll have to pay 9 mana each time you want to replay him and of course... the 4 health. Plus it's a very big silence target. :(
It's not bad, but it probably(!) won't see any play in constructed.
The dream: infinite giant killer.
Reality: infinite piloted shredder fodder.
If it had more than 4 health, maybe.
