I will absolutely try this card in midrange rouge, and grind my apontent down!
Rouge dosen't have very lategame cards, you can also use it with Preparation for tempo play.
They should have made him 6 mana 3/8 - battlecry: deals 2 damage to all other minions and heal your hero for 1 for each. (locust swam)
but nope
[Stupid thought I'm sure doesn't actually work:]
Okay, so you know how when you bounce a minion back to your opponent's hand (like with Sap or something) but they already have 10 cards, it dies instead and that can trigger its deathrattle? Well, what if you do that do Anub'arak? Its text IS worded like a bounce effect.
I think it's unfair to give this or any TGT cards a bad rating yet. Maybe it works really well with other cards that haven't been revealed yet. Only 58 cards have been shown as of today. There are still 74 more new cards we haven't seen yet! That's more than half the set. I'm holding out for a care like Preparation that works on minions. That would make this guy interesting.
Imagine a Rogue minion that was like "Stealth. Whenever you play a minion with Deathrattle, give it Stealth."
Until your opponent either silenced him and kills him easily because of his 4 toughness or worse your opponent mindcontrols it without the card having any instant effect value BibleThump.
Give it faerie dragons effect and immune to silence and this card becomes acceptable. As is. This is just another REALLY bad card for rogues.
Silence tirion? still a 6/6 body. 4 hp is SUPER easy to deal with.
Kill him? Congrats, you get a spider that comes from a 2 mana card.
I think his stats are perfect, if he were a 6 or 7 mana card, but at 9, I really doubt he will ever see play. Unless he gets 3 more hp to put him in line with an actually good card, like mal ganis.
Idk why everyone is complaining. This is actually one of the best cards that i like. Do you people know how annoying it can be to keep having to deal with this minion? They kill it with a spell, but then it leaves a 4/4 which they trade with. Then, after they traded you play it AGAIN and AGAIN. No deck can survive that much pressure. Plus, this the best card for jousting. Afraid of aggro? Get some taunts and healbots going out in your deck.
I dont know why rogues complaining.
I mean first you got an inspire mechanic to spam your wonderful hero power.
Then you have a great 4 mana poisoned blade 1/3 to use with your wonderful hero power.
And now you have this beauty! It leaves a 4/4! I know a 2 mana that does the same but this is only 7 mana more expensive. :)
So Anub'arak is a 9m 8/4 legendary who could not CARE about getting hit by BGH as its more like an expensive Sap if anything. As Anub'arak just returns to your hand AND leaves a 4/4 nerubian on the board in his place. I think people are missing on the key detail that Anub'arak can never permanently die unless he is silenced/transformed first.
Illidan, you're not alone in your suffering..
Would MAYBE be ok if it was in warrior, because control warrior can actually survive to the point where playing a card that comes back might be useful.
In rogue? There just aren't enough control options. No healing, no armor, and few solid cards for a long game.
EVERY current control rogue is combo based, and can deal upwards of 20 damage from hand with no board in a realistic situation.
I don't see some sort of tempo-control deck being slow enough for this to work, when the class has the option of outright killing your opponent if you ever get into a position where playing this card is an option.
Why the hell is Anub'arak a rogue card?
Not until we see an Arthas card.
OMG this card is sick!!!
terribly sick
If i ever see my opponent play it i will feel happy and warm inside
Cant blizzard think 8/4 is always bad in any sitution ?
You obviously haven't played mill rogue.
tell me how successful is mill rogue
Okay..? Pretty successful. Especially since they are creating cards for such a situation.
