Combo with Violet Wurm (After trading) for 7 Weasels lategame. If your opponent is in topdeck mode, he will concede.90% of the time. Never have I felt so evil before...
cool, I want to try this
This card is great.it is more powerfull than twisting nether. it simply destroys deathrattle mechanics and gives opponent potential dead draws. (no I don't want to draw my sindragosas frozen champion nor your stupid northshire cleric.)
espessially when I play 25 minute control duel against it, I make plenty of decisions during the game and EVERY single one didn't matter because opponent kills me from 32 HP in one turn... (2 armor remaining from turning into DK).
So many turns, so many thinking and this all didn't matter. The most fun fact was I died right before I played N'zoth which summoned entire board of minions (opponent already used AOE), including 2 taunt, 1 was 4/8 with lifesteel from priest. Seems I can't lose right? Two taunts, nothing wrong can't happen. Bullshit. Dead 30 second later....
Pure skill. Well, skill is also when you have to respond to your opponent plays, when you are able to play around something. When I die from 32 HP there is nothing I can play around. It's just bullshit. Btw - 32 dmg from HEROPOWER. Completly for free. That requires much skill.
If this deck is so skill-intense, just put out Velen for 30 dmg in one turn. Maybe than you will actually have to calculate the dmg than just have it from hand.
If someone don't like non-interactive "fun" doesn't make him salty, my "friend" :)
" if u had any knowledge of the game " - oh, so you're one of those persons... :) If I see this sentense I never read futher on.
I don't think it's very difficult deck to play perfectly. I play minion based N'Zoth priest with Anduin and Raza of course but in order to clear the board, not pew-pew to death my rival. I never do it, it's not fun at all. Just like I never put bloodlust and other none-interactive cards. From ranks 10-5 (today I got to 5 and waiting for new cards) I got... 81% winrate... I never had better winrate at this level (not that is high but still) with ANY deck. Maybe with Renolock in the meta when Reno was still in standard, that was the deck I played the most I was good at it. But if minion based (not filled with shit 1 mana spells) and without archenai + circle of healing or paint-size potion + horror and still win against aggro VERY FREQUENTLY and win even against priest often(having hard time against jade druid though) I think the deck is really simple. You know which decks are hard to play? Weak decks. Decks which are not having answers to all. Like Kazakus Quest Mage with Jaina which Savjz invented. That's hard deck to play. But Raza Priest? It's not.
I even not mulligan for Raza or Anduin withing my cards in hand and I still get them on 8 pretty frequently. The deck doesn't require much because it's too strong. And when psychic scream will come to play, Anduin priest will be undefeatable.
You can't take the strongest deck aviable in standard and call it hard to play. Cause even when you play badly (and you can see on ladder than some players play this deck TERRIBLE!) and they can still win.
And of course aggro decks are the easiest one to play. if you know every card in your opponent's deck you should never misplay becasue choosing optimal play should be obvious. All aggro cards basicly do the same, the only exception is vilespine. Other cards in those decks just burns down, charge etc. Of course Razakus priest requires knowing the momentum. BUT calling it difficult is a little bit wrong in my opinion. Control is still in my opinion harder cause you must actually calculate something and not having lethal no matter what... if it wasn't 0 mana it wouldn't be a problem. Using boardclears is not only a matter of when. You have to also fight WITH a board to have minions which will allow you to kill your opponent.. And Razakus Priest doesn't really fight with a board. You don't need ANY minions. You can kill every target with heropower or just kill opponent in 1 turn. In other case they don't have even a board to interact with. Besides, control doesn't exist in standard right now. Jade is not control and the only one is Mage which also relies on Alextrasza dealing 15 dmg at once... so yeah. And 2% of control warlock because people decided to play tempo (for whatever reason).
Even kripp said that 70% of the time this deck just wins by itself by drawing anduin and Raza by turn 8. The only "difficult" games are those were you don't draw them. If deck can win by its own, than it's not a hard deck to play. Hard deck is was like Warrior with Gianats which you dmg and copy with the spell... blood warrior if I recall? That was a hard deck to play. Not this shit. Because you have giants and still you're far away from winning.
i have nothing against combo decks beating control. It's stupid that without drawing those 2 cards early enough this deck is THE WEAKEST deck in the meta. this deck can't win without both combo pieces. That's what bothers me. Quest Mage for example can win if you don't draw antonidas, you can deal some dmg with sourcers apprentice. Or without one apprentice with Antonidas. You don't need all cards to win. You can improvice a little. Calculate lethal opportunities and set-ups. When you have 30+ dmg from HAND for 0 mana you don't have to calculate shit. Of course it's not happening every game but it happens quiet often to have enough of it already.
This time it's not wrong. The playstyle is very simple - draw 2 cards from your deck, stall up from this point, win the game. You can say that there is more to that but without drawing Raza and Anduin - this deck can't beat ANYTHING. So just on the first stage of process "why did he win that game?" there is a point "He draw Raza and Anduin". Which is just over ability to play the game.
Although I hate aggro decks at least they can kill me with anything and we fight for a board, it's more interactive expirance even when pirate warrior (pre-nerf) goes face. They pay mana for each move and I can react to that according to mana and cards aviable. Here there is nothing alike.
I just think psychic scream will just kill so many achetypes. This card shouldn't exist. Not now. Maybe after Raza rotates out.
I think it does make more honorable because I don't use my heropower to pew-pew my opponent to death with 30 dmg one turn :) Which is what people actually don't like about this deck. Anduin is okey, 0 mana heropower makes it busted. And you need to ping face most of time because your minions are not pressuring enough. I just play anduin only when I face against full board of 5+ attack. To clear. I don't run card draws (except thalnos and power word shield) just to "skillfully" draw 2 cards I need to win. I don't whine, damn, why people overuse such words. When you don't apples you says "I don't like apples" and nobody accuse you of crying. Damn mna... ;/
N'Zoth Priest have basicly nothing in common with Razakus Machine Gun priest. Different win condition, interactive expirance playing minions to obtain board control, like 18 out of 30 cards of Machine Gun Priest are not in N'Zoth version (I can calculate that if you want me to) In 80% of the time I win without Anduin/Raza. I need Anduin sometimes to clear the board and just it. 8 mana twisting nether. SO my wincondition is not DRAW Raza and Anduin. This is luck, this is RNG in it's purest form. I could play this deck even without Raza. I don't need it at all. There is like few % of games where this 0 mana heropower matters.
I also thought that statistics which include 13 years old players which bought some packs with daddy's moneys and now playing jade druid/razakus priest aren't very conclusive. I mean, yeah, sure. Aggro/tempo is always easier because shorter games, less mistakes you can make. That's really obvious. But I think you really overestimate the skill in that deck. And of course better player will not waste cards to have something to kill opponent. But that's really basics of playing this deck.
I play a version which none of my opponents played, all my stats/replays prove that. So I assume it's worst version of Razakus Priest because otherwise it would be played instead. And still i win 80% of the time. This deck just (with it's power level) wins by itself. Sometimes you need decisions, sure but many times it comes down to "Did I draw this ONE card on time"? I did? So I guess I win.
Uninteractive, no counterreaction, nothing. Win-lose ENTIRLY depends on priest player and his skill of drawing things on time.
And btw, this season I played this deck only 2-3 days... that's all :) I play other control decks like control mage (non-elemental), elemental control mage, Krul Warlock with Meatwagons :) and they still allows you to climb. I played Priest last 2-3 days just because I know I will hate priest with my entire heart when psychic scream will be released and I will never played priest until rotation :) it just won't be fun.
And just to clerify the first statments. Weak decks are harder to play than powerfull decks. And this weak deck (which let's say runs yeti and crocodile instead of Velan and Anduin) requires perfect performance in order for you to win. You need to play perfectly becasue your deck quality is lower. Let's say elemental shaman. Definitly tier 3 at the momment. Put out bloodlust (unfair card which requires 0 skill. Don't tell me play 5 mana deal 15 dmg to opponent's face is skill :) ) and try to beat Razakus Priest. It's almost impossible. But you can still make decisions to it (in other match-ups) to make it more powerfull than it is in reality. When deck (like Razakus Priest) is so powerfull that even when you screw something up it's alright... Cause your heropower cost 0 so there is nothing you cannot retrieve. So doesn't matter if you missed one hit, you still have inifinite heropower value which allows you to kill opponent without a single unit on the board or on-going effect (like let's say apprentice and Antonidas). The same with jade druid and ultimate infestation. You can waste your resources like a total noob but still on turn 10 (I mean, on turn 6) you will play ultimate infestation to just reset your hand. But that's extreme example of stupidity, Razakus Priest isn't even close to ultimate infestation. I couldn't count how many times I lost to total noobs playing jade druids. And not noobs because they beat me, that's okey. But you probably expiranced that yourself :) You play ladder as well and know what I'm talking about.
Sorry for my strong, informative tone :) I just don't like this deck much and I hate to know that priest will have psychic scream which will be BROKEN in this deck. I'm just very afraid that in 1 month we'll be seeing priest as often as druids before nerfs. And it will be scary thing man, trust me!
I acually liked quest mage at first when quest was released but after I figured out my winrate depends more on how many iceblocks I get from random card generation than my actually ability to play this deck (actually I improved myself a lot from the day 1 to the final games, but still it's completly depending on how many freeze effects RnGesus will provide me from spells). i liked Patron Warrior where there was a lot of set-up, calculation and knowing your opponents deck (because taunts blocks your combo to some extant, so there is to some degree a counterplay. Or ever dirty rat could HIGHLY destroy the combo if it would exist back than. The same with Kun + Aviana, I really like that combo. it was very powerfull bu there were some very skillfull components in playing it like choosing ramping or drawing, clearing or putting pressure. Once again dirty rat had VERY good % of chance of destroying entire combo so we have counterplay again. I don't see any counterplay to Razakus. I don't feel like I have any impact on the game. Like 0%. The most I can do is just wait with my 8 drop after priest will play his Anduin but it doesn't give me much either.
"But yes u can still win when youre a poor player because yes this deck is way too OP, yes it is unhealthy for the meta keeping all the control decks at bay ( damn i miss the good old CW and i would like to see control warlock become a real thing)" That's my main point :) I just hate this type of decks. I actually have pretty nice list of Krul Warlock in standard now, I don't know why it works well as a singlton deck (I always though only priest can work in this formula now in standard) but I kinda improved it a lot. The biggest shame - versus jade druid it's disaster. Anyway if you're interested check this out, it gives me much fun and I actually climb last season with this deck to rank 2 so it's not terrible for sure :)
And I also miss control warrior so much, the best hearthstone games (the most skill-intense one) I was when tournament players played mirror control warrior. I was like "how could they calculate it so damn well?". When you must hold your cards in order to win. So great gameplay.

That's the decklist of my Krul Warlock and below I want to add a game which I just had (15 minutes ago) against Razakus priest. I was rank 5, he was 7 (great match-making system) and... he was officially the worst player I've encountered this season. The worst player I met reached rank 7 with the deck. It must feel pretty awful to lose to such player but I won because I milled his Anduin which you will not see here but when I was milling him I burnt Silence and Anduin. Enjoy :)

Have fun with new expansion! Hope it will not suck because of this single card (psychic scream). But I had this feeling about ultimate infestation and I have this feeling right now.
And sorry for all terrible mistakes I made in my grammer, I'm not a native english speaker and I also sit at home today because of a fever. And waiting hyped for new expansion as always. Hyped and worried about this psychic scream. Because that might be a card which will cause I will never beat priest (for the next 3 months at least) with any control list (and that's the only decks I play... so feelsbadman)
Also I have an opinion: I think combo decks should be SO HARD to play to win or have relativly low winrate overall so in both cases they won't be the most played deck in the meta. Because it's not fun in a perspective of let's say 3-4 months. That's why i never complained about freezemage or Quest Mage or Aviana-Kun combo. because these decks always had it's own place. All pretty good in killing you in one turn, but at the same time you can't play badly and expect positive winrate with them. And that's not the case with Razakus Priest right now.
My question is will this shuffle dormant cards like Sherazin, Corpse Flower or The Darkness into the deck?
Priestards incoming.
This looks like a solid board clear for Priest coming just in time to replace Dragonfire Potion once it rotates out.
It looks like matches involving this card would require some skill from both players to deal with. The non-Priest would have to be careful not to provide any good targets for this spell, while the Priest would have to be careful not to hit any dangerous battlecry minions, and give his opponent a chance to use them again.
This card may seem overpowered, but Priests have had strong board clear spells ever since Lightbomb, and this card looks like nothing more or less than an exciting new flavor of board clear. I wonder whether or not the mana cost is too low, but I'm interested in seeing how this card is played and played against.
Does this just shuffle the minions on the board, or minions also from the deck? Cuz it doesn't specify.
WHYYYYY?????? WHY IS THIS A THING, WHY ARE PRIESTS GETTING STUPIDLY GOOD CARDS IN THIS EXPANSION, WHYYYYY (sorry for my rage there)
So still not sure why people think this is so broken... Turn 7 hey have all the minions including mine!! (or your minions back only yay Vanish).
In the case of giving my minions to you lets look at it with this example: Hello my opponent I see you have a sword and I have a gun, here have my gun to use with your sword, don't worry I'm still more powerful!!
Unless you can double the amount of control, or give them crap minions, or prevent them from playing minions, you just gave your opponent more kill conditions. So if someone could give me a logical reason why this is so broken I'd appreciate it.
do you not know what a board clear is dude? and depending on what minions were on the board, this is going to run your draws the turn after. you don't want to topdeck terrible minions on turn 8
Well its obvious that its a board clear, the question is how is this card over powered? When this card is played you are putting the cards that are being used to your opponents deck if it is only their cards then you are not denying them cards by destroying them (Vanish destroys minions that can't be returned to hand this card doesn't destroy minions) you are only stalling the inevitable. if you are putting your cards into their deck then you are giving them more ammo.
By turn 7 the cards being played are 'generally' all utility or kill condition cards on both sides of the field, so the turns played won't have horrible cards, unless you have horrible cards in your own deck.
So in conclusion, your answer has basic info and opinion, which is good, but still waiting on a logical reason why this card is broken.
Also as a note, using Vanish as an example since it returns minions as well, though to a different location. I do not equate vanish to the same level as this card.
have you even played a match against razakus priest before? if you lose board control, you realize they win, right? as in, they start machine gunning you down? this can't be difficult to understand
