maybe they wanted to buff sneeds Old shredder? höööööö did think about that? xdd
wait.
GvG cards are not allowerd in Standard
WHAT THE HELL DO THEY DO?!
Paletress is still Standard Viable
It's still a buff for Sneed's Old Shredder in Wild.
Might struggle in competitive play because of The Black Knight. Could be valuable as a surprise choice on the ladder though, at least for control decks that aren't Druid.
I don't know what to feel about this card. I mean as a card it seems fine. What bothers me is that it is a legendary. The base 5/9 is that of a captured jormungar, which is worth 7 mana. The taunt is worth one mana and the spell/hero power immunity is worth maybe 1-1.5 mana. Combined together for 9 mana and you have average stats that fit the mana cost. The stat and card text distribution can be compared to sunwalker, which is a 6 mana 4/5, the 4/5 body taken from yeti (so worth 4 mana) and the divine shield and taunt both being worth 1 mana each. In conclusion, Soggoth doesn't feel like a legendary.
If this card was a Murloc!!!
that would be a buff actually lol i think you mean 5 or less
It has to be funny for it to be a joke.
People here forget one thing Soggoth the Slitherer is not killed by silence. It's still a 5/9. The more important is silencing Soggoth the Slitherer is that it's one silence baited out. At this point in the game probably your last silence. Next turn then a bigger nastier can be put out silence free.
Also if you silence a Priest or Druid Soggoth the Slitherer they will just buff it up next turn and wrek you. Actually any class can re apply the taunt to this card if it lives. Of cause The Black Knight wreks this, but past this, if you silence Soggoth the Slitherer, you'd better be on a lethal turn or killing Soggoth the Slitherer on the same turn. Keeping a silenced Soggoth the Slitherer alive for a few turns could be disaster for you once they buff it up.
You can't buff it because its immune to spells
You can, if it's silenced before that..
My point is once it's silenced by them but not killed, you are free to buff it hard.
Also yes you are corrrect in saying Sunfury Protector and Defender of Argus are the way every single class can reapply the taunt to this once it's silenced. But then the card can be spelled to death. Still by then they have spent a silence and at least one other card to kill it. That's a win for you if you still have some board tempo after it all.
2 mana just for the effect? That is so bad....
Ok hearthstone pro Moloch519
I think they forgot to add devine shield or deathrattle summon a sludge belcher
400 dust
Bad card and worst of all it isn't unique or fun. Waste of space unless its redeemed by a cool entry animation/sound
The meta will become very control-heavy. Most decks will carry a decent number of taunts to combat any aggro that tries to take advantage of late-game decks and the loss of Bencher and Healbot. So I can see The Black Knight getting played a bit after the rotation.
And it's a 5/9, go ahead and silence it. It's not Ancient of War, the stats aren't going anywhere. And to be honest, I'm pretty okay with you using both a silence and hard removal on it.
I agree with your point about Aldor and Uldaman, but any deck running this is going to have more high drops than you could deal with.
So this thing has double stats of Arcane Nullifier X-21 and costs double the mana plus one. Pretty bad Legendary.
