That's a really cool way to look at it. Each Old God can gain power or have an effect even while in your hand or deck, and when they're actually played, they have a tremendous impact.
Better than Chillwind Yeti. Even better than Twilight Drake.
.. As some one whole loved the Klaxxi from warcraft, I hope we get more of them in card form.
Maybe in relation to the right Old God next time, though :(
YEAH That'd be cool.... Maybe if we bring it up to Blizz they might change this card from a Klaxxi to one of the bug guys from silithid?
I love the art and the fact that this is some rare rep from Mists of Pandaria! Unfortunately, you heard it here folks. The ONLY C'thun deck is going to be a version of herp derp handlock. Blizzard had to go and get rid of all the fun synergy cards for the cthun decks like duplicate and echo of medivh, so you won't be seeing them in mage, which would've been really cool and fun. Instead, theyre just going to be part of good ol' boring as hell handlock that didnt lose a single card from the standard switch. These cards won't be good for the same reason feugen and stalagg aren't good. It's because you need to draw through your deck really fast, which warlock is really broken at doing because theres literally no drawback for them to do it, and they don't have to waste card slots on card draw cards. Prepare to make "cool" C'thun decks with other classes like druid, then lose to a tier 1 version of handlock that does the same thing whilst making it as unfun and uninteresting as possible.
same stats as Chillwind Yeti plus sometimes 4\10 nice card, even for arena ok
Klaxxi Amber-Weaver is not for arena
Should I assume that this card works the same if C'Thun is anywhere in the deck with 10 attack or does C'Thun need to be on the field?
good question...if you assume atual mechanic of cards "if you..." or "if your" like Gorillabot A-3 for example its need to be on battlefield, but if its like Reno Jackson ...
But Gorillabot A-3 does not say "if your", it says "If you control..." while this guy says "Your C'thun", because C'thun is an entity tied to the player, so it does'nt even refer to the card but C'thun itself, that is the point with the whole god thing, it would make no sense if it worked otherwise
Yeah I'm wondering if you will even need C'Thun in your hand or deck in order to activate this. If I remember correctly, one of the devs said if you Thoughtsteal C'Thun, then he will get the buffs from his companion cards that you have already played in the game. That means they already keep track of your C'Thun buffs separately from the card itself, so Amber-Weaver might just check those buffs and not check for the actual card.
So...the key of success is C'Thun
imagine this... the power creep in the game at this very moment is SO real that people don't actually like a strictly better yeti...
I hope that blizzard can redeem their mistakes from GvG and Naxx with this expansion, and from the revealed cards It seems like they are on the right path.
pretty solid
Wish this was with a different class or a neutral
probably too unreliable to be played on turn 4
Plus if playing Brann potentially a 4 mana 4/15 tho
Uhh... lets just say Mistakes were made
C'thun druid get HYPE!
