Insanely good in Arena
This card has been most effective in aggro Paladin lists for me. Buffing an Argent Squire, Nerubian Egg, Haunted Creeper, or maybe a Dragon Egg has been extremely effective. It basically transforms 1 or 2 mana minions into 4 mana minions.
Pretty versatile card in my Mech Paladin deck. Apart from helping the late game removal problem, it's great for buffing small taunt minions like Target Dummy and Annoy-o-Tron. Also, Cogmaster effectively becomes a 5/3 since it keeps its effect.
This card is every bit as good as I hoped it would be. I'm running two in midrange pally from now on.
what did you switch out for it?
I've seen lists without Shredders, so I guess replace those. I mean, it can potentially trade evenly with almost any minion with its battlecry.
This card on aggro paladin, buffing your argent squire sound very nice, and all your minions are small and u want to get value from them, well it does sound kind good i believe
As a guy whose paladeck contains 2x Nerubian Egg and 2x Dragon Egg, I think I'll be running this card :)
Plus, let's be honest here, this is the closest Paladin is ever going to come to having actual removal.
Peacekeepers are removal too
Haunted Creeper -> swing into threat Bran Bronzebeard -> Keeper of Uldaman.
I don't believe Brann is going to let you re-target second battlecry, so she won't benefit from him at all.
Well yeah but it still targets a minion, just the same one twice.
Ah my bad I completely derped, for some reason I was thinking it was +3/3.
Well damn. I disenchanted mine.....both of them.
RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!
Zoo paladin incoming.
Pro:
- One direct answer to late-game minions like Ysera
- May provide card advantage
- 3/4 worths 3 mana
- Can be used to buff a recruit to 3-3
- At least we have Angry Chicken
Con:
- May get stuck in hand when facing aggro/tempo decks (especially zoo——yet still can be used on Doomguard)
- Does not remove auras or abilities
Sum up:
Valuable for mid-ranged decks. Optional for secret decks. Extremely powerful in arena (likely to be in the same tier as Truesilver or Murloc Knight)
Uther now faces a conundrum... which 4-drops should he play? He's got at least 5 great options now.
