wow they literally did almost nothing, not to mention warlock will become worse against dh
I think the nerfs are not perfect (and not complete yet), but they are good. They were needed for sure.
I agree, they didn't bring down the hammer as hard as we thought, slowly but surely everything will tune down. For me I was worried about Bad Luck Albatross, now that its delayed a turn it might force people to re-think placing it into their decks.
Everyone's forgetting that the purpose of these nerfs is not to completely gut the cards, but to bring them closer to the power level of other cards.
It's true but it's very likely that DH will need a few more tiny nerfs
I think what’s more upsetting than the nerfs is that we’ll have yet another week or two or more of the same meta and getting run over by dh since the launch
Nobody is forgetting that at all. But these nerfs don't accomplish either of those things. Demon Hunter will still be oppressive as hell, just like it was after the first wave of "nerfs." I'm not saying it won't help, obviously it will. But I mean congrats, now instead of a 60% win rate they'll get dropped down to 58%. Cool...
Bloodbloom is 100% completely gutted though, should've made it so it only affects cards costing 5 or less so it might still see some fringe use instead of just making it unplayable.
You will face, Jaraxxus!
Altruis the Outcast Old: Cost 3 mana, 3 Attack / 2 Health → New: Cost 4 mana. 4 Attack / 2 Health.
They dont play HS. We have the proof. Such a shame I cant not blame.
Honestly, the only deck they might have killed with these nerfs was Mecha'thun in wild due to Bloodbloom costing 4. They can not get the combo off anymore unless they add Drakkari Enchanter for double Emperor Thaurissan ticks. At that point, take Bloodbloom out and just get double discount on Cataclysm.
#leavemymechathunalone
It doesn't kill Mech'thun lock. Instead of going Bloodbloom route you will execute the following play once your deck is empty and you have Kael and Mech'thun in hand:
Any 1 or 2 cost spell - Dollmaster Dorian + Plot Twist - Cataclysm for 0
That's more pieces that that just going the Drakkari Enchanter route with double ticks from Emperor Thaurissan.
Or use Brann with Galvaniser, either way, mecha'thun lock took a major hit.
Let's craft Open the Waygate golden then ^^
EDIT: nvm, dust profit is only there when cards are HoF'd. I'm stupid
Why? Don't they give dust without disenchanting only when smt goes to hall of fame?
This is surpremely underwhelming.
The Bloodbloom and Open the Waygate nerfs just delay their combo's by one turn, and quest mage and mech paladin are still incredibly strong.
The Battlefiend and Glaivebound Adept nerfs are both 1 attack nerfs, and will probably have next to no impact on their playrates. Battlefiend is still a scaling 1-drop with a resilient statline (remember, there are wild DH decks that run Lowly Squire) and Glaivebound Adept is still burst damage with an offensive body.
Frenzied Felwing now dies to Consecration and Explosive Trap, which is nice, but the principle is still the same; stats for free.
The Kael'thas Sunstrider nerf is probably the most pathetic one, getting slaughtered out of nowhere for daring to not kill your opponent before turn 7 feels just as bad as it would have had if it were turn 6.
The Libram of Justice buff is a nice gesture, but it's nothing more than a gesture.
The Altruis the Outcast nerf is not bad, but it could've been hit WAY harder than this. Altruis the Outcast + Twin Slice is just a Consecration attached to a body.
The only nerf I like is Bad Luck Albatross. It's more fair to have a tech card cost 4 with 4/3 stats rather than 3.
Silver lining guys; the decks that got nerfed won't for some dumb reason get stronger from this, so this brings all the decks from T1&T2 closer to the decks in T3&T4 (or whatever system you prefer to rank your decks). Blizzard also seems to have gotten away from their typical sledgehammer approach to nerfing cards.
The same decks being meta also means that you don't have to craft entirely new decks to be competitive, so that's nice too I guess.
Thank god they left my secret mage alone
