The Storm Bringer looks like an interesting card. You don't really need to get all that many good minions off of this to make it worth 7 mana cost, so really the question is, can you build up a large board of token minions to evolve on 7, ensuring that most of the time you'll get at least a couple of good legendaries? The answer to that is probably yes - between old cards like Primalfin Totem and Ghost Light Angler and new cards like Voltaic Burst and Thunderhead you can build a decently large board, with Storm Chaser you can make playing this on curve pretty consistent, and with Primal Talismans you can make your board sticky enough to ensure it's still around to play it on when you get there.
Of course, the question has to be asked - why not just play Bloodlust? I don't think The Storm Bringer would replace Bloodlust, but you might still run it for matches where either you don't draw Bloodlust, or your opponent was doing a good job limiting your ability to swarm the board early. In that sense, it's more of a backup plan or alternative win condition.
all your mentions about new cards like Voltaic Burst and Thunderhead are overload cards which prevents you to play The Storm Bringer on curve.
Why not just play Bloodlust? Because it is more fun with The Storm Bringer.
Btw, since elementals came, there are so less totem support for shaman, I would like to see more. I had hoped that legendary spell is about totems somehow. Sorry for Totem Cruncher so much. If there is more support, that card could be a thing.
Yes, they are overload cards, but you can get value out of both of them before turn 6, and simply avoid overloading on 6 if you're in a position to play The Storm Bringer.
There's no question in my mind that getting a bunch of legendaries into play is more fun that boosting attack value - just imagine turning a 1/1 into a 12/12 - but it's not a guaranteed win condition by any means. The Storm Bringer is good in a token deck if/when your opponent starts to outtempo you and you need a way back into the game.
Totem Cruncher has a whole slew of design problems, and would need a ton more support to see play. If you could create a defensive Even Shaman deck, it might fit there. But the tempo you get from the upgraded hero power doesn't lend itself to defensive play styles, and destroying your board for a buffed taunt leaves you too vulnerable to single target removal and silence effects. Not to mention, it's hugely unplayable if you don't have the board. If you imagine it as a 5 mana 4/5 taunt (played on turn five with one tap of the upgraded hero power), it compares very unfavorably to neutral cards like Rotten Applebaum, Witchwood Grizzly, Sludge Belcher, and Second-Rate Bruiser, so you need to kill several totems to get value from it. Maybe in a deck that can leverage Primal Talismans to turn favorable trades into a giant Totem Cruncher, but that feels like a lot of setup for a two-card combo with an okay tempo payoff.
Clearly meant to combo with the Legendary minion. What's better than transforming your board into legendary minions? Doing it twice.
*Sweats in Nat Pagles*
Any suggestions? You complaining isnt helping anyone
7 mana - Transform your board into Nat Pagle, Loremaster Cho and a 0/8 pinata.
The only way I can see this card played without getting pwned due to tremendous tempo loss is if Grand Archivist casts it. Hopefully you have more minions on board when he does.
this is the most fun card in the set!
surely it's unplayable in any competitive deck, but it's cause some random shenanigans :)
0 mana minions OP?

This is abysmal! Clearly Blizzard does not think Shamans have suffered enough since the rise of Tunnel Trogg. So sad!
Except they have two highly competitive decks, Even Shaman and Shudderwock Shaman.
Aw fuck. Do I have to clear every Shaman board AGAIN this expansion? I don't wanna get evolved out of existence! This is particularly dirty with 0 mana minions like Happy Ghoul, Corridor Creeper, Nerubian Prophet etc. And they can now discover it too. God DAMNIT!
For the people weighing this against Bloodlust...Bloodlust supposes you already have a board to attack with. This can be dropped on anything you play, the cheaper the better.
Well i like it. Spam crap on the board plus your totems, control the board and slam this on 7. Beinh able to get this from hagata is also strong and can be a game changer sometimes.
Playable. Great meme and TrollDen potential.
Knowing my luck all the minions will transform into bloody patches the pirate :')
So I like this, probably because I have played a lot of minion spam shaman, and I play a bunch of hagatha shaman, and sometimes i do both at once. Also even shaman with hagath can find this so that is cool. I kinda want to pull my totem shaman out of the dust now (crafting pun fully intentional) and try putting this in it. that deck was very good at getting a board and keeping it, but kinda terrible at doing anything with it. Like I would constantly have a full board and be like, please just draw my activators so this board does something. Having the ability to throw hagatha in and this now maybe makes the deck able to do something often enough that it works.
This doesn't go in pre-existing token evolve shaman, which has its win conditions locked. However in a value shaman, flood the board with firefly's and other 1 mana/totem trash, in a sense its like the ungoro quests, where the questing part is having a board. Could be fun, but the Thrall deathknight was far more viable for the evolve archetype than this, so I'm not optimistic.
Dont let all these comments deter you from the fact that you can discover this in Even Shaman after playing your hagatha and reloading on board
