You can find the official Hearthstone page for The Witchwood here.
New Cards
The cards are not yet in our database. We're working on getting the site ready for the new expansion.
- The Hero Power upgrade from Baku the Mooneater is the same as the one from Justicar Trueheart. (Source)
Card Backs
There are two new card backs. The first is available with the expansion pre-order and the second is a reward from Monster Hunt.
Monster Hunt
- Works like Dungeon Run in that you play a hero against bosses and build a deck as you progress.
- Does not use normal Hearthstone heroes, this has four unique characters.
Below are pictures of the Cannoneer, Houndmaster, Time Tinkerer, and Tracker heroes from Monster Hunt.
New Gameboard
As always, Hearthstone is getting a new game board with the expansion.
Why. Why give us 2 weeks to wait for new card reveals?
I personally think it's way better to spread reveals more, instead of having days (not including reveal stream) where they reveal a ton of cards.
Also, waiting so much ruins the hype.
Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow. This came right the heck out of nowhere and already I am so freaking excited.
So, thus new Echo ability is like Unstable Evolution?
Exactly
Does Genn Greymane "starting hero power" cost 1 mean that if it gets upgraded or changed it no longer costs one?
I think it means it will cost 1 for the rest of the game, no matter what.
If you upgrade it, change it or whatever.
EDIT: Nope, I was damn wrong!
I can almost guarantee it will cost 1 no matter what changes, just like raza. If not, then......not too good with death knights. I would count on the hero power staying the same 1 mana
Edit: Soooooo very wrong lol. Clearly states starting hero power. It will not work with death knights
I think they wrote "starting hero power" to make it clear that if it gets changed, it no longer applies.
Hopefully it works the same way as Raza. That would be really interesting to give Raza-like power to all DKs
Gotta agree that the wording's specificity means it won't apply if your Hero Power changes.
Yeah but the text on Raza just says "Hero Power" and not "Starting Hero Power."
Idk but it's definitely something to think about. Even if that's the case and the DK hero powers don't cost one, I feel like aggro hunter or even priest become a lot scarier early game.
Not every Death Knight hero card would benefit. It has to be namely Even-mana cost Death Knights.
That makes the applicable list:
This means that Raza Priest can live on (minus Raza the Chained), but I would be curious to see how the other classes would do with a reduced hero power. For Warlocks, they couldn't use Doomguard or Voidlord with Carnivorous Cube and Dark Pact combo. For Warrior and Hunter, I am eager to see these builds also.
won't work on DKs, a DK hero power is not a starting hero power.
Will there be a limit to the amount of hero cards per deck?
no
I think the buff will only be on the original copy. Like when you play Firefly and get a flame elemental
echo seems like it copies the original minon..
still a worse Saronite Chain Gang
Hand buffs don't stay
