The League of Explorers is the third Hearthstone expansion and will be launching Next Thursday!
All new cards added to our database and our deckbuilder!
- The League of Explorers launches November 12th, 2015.

- Wings can be purchased separately for 700 gold or $6.99.
- 45 new cards will be introduced through the adventure.
- New Cards: The League of Explorers contains 4 wings packed with fiendish bosses, puzzling traps, and ancient mysteries for you to discover. When you overcome a boss or an encounter for the first time, you will earn brand-new cards for your collection!
- Legendary: When you defeat all the challenges in a wing for the first time, you will be rewarded with that wing’s legendary card – for example, Elise Starseeker!
- Class Challenges: The League of Explorers also includes nine all-new class challenges that task you with using a special pre-built deck to prove your skill. Succeed, and the new class cards are yours.
- New Game Boards: Immerse yourself in the adventure with all-new playing fields!
- Meet the League: Make friends with renowned explorer and fearless dwarven historian Brann Bronzebeard and the other members of the League of Explorers: dashing treasure hunter extraordinaire Reno Jackson, brilliant night elf scholar Elise Starseeker, and gentleman (gentle-fish?) murloc adventurer Sir Finley Mrrgglton!
- New Keyword: The League of Explorers introduces a new keyword that lets you do some digging of your own: Discover! Works kind of like Tracking, but the cards are totally random and are not in your deck. Spell cards will stay within their respective classes.
- Heroic Mode: If you’re ready for a challenge, you can try taking on the Heroic Mode version of any mission that you’ve cleared. This extra-tough game mode is designed for players eager to test their puzzle-solving skills against incredibly powerful opponents. Bring your best deck and your sharp wits.

Oh look, another new keyword that is (sing along, children) "completely RNG because RNG is fun!"
I swear Blizzard just aren't very good at designing this game. "So, you got any new ideas for new cards?" "Um... eh, just make up some random RNG-based rubbish, they'll love it."
That's not "full" RNG, that's "controllable" RNG - it's great in my opinion!
Took a look at that "Jeweled Scarab" - such a great card! 2-drop into 3-drop. That's keep your curve and give some kind of boardcontrol.
Don't care- it's still based around giving you cards that aren't even part of your deck. Completely negates the entire idea of deckbuilding. It's what I despised about The Grand Tournament, all this "completely random card" crap like Spellslinger and Nexus Champion Saraad and even Ram Wrangler, which can give you either a free Captain's Parrot or a free King Krush. Every single RNG card they add to the game removes a little bit more of the skill element of play and replaces it with the need for more sheer jammy luck. It's terrible, terrible game design, and the clueless arguments they keep trotting out to defend it ("RNG creates stories", "it gives weaker players a chance against better ones", "it's more fun") just shows how utterly hopeless they are at their jobs.
This adventure feels even more useless than BRM, really. BRM is funny to play some drake decks but else? Nah. Naxx was the best and I guess it will be. There you got very viable cards you can play in the most decks!
But I dont wanna play Deathrattle Rogue or Murloc Shaman. And I don't want to replace my whole deck with legendary minions.
I also feel like this adventure miss a card like Loatheb or Emperor. Just a strong very good legendary.
New bullshit secrets. Thats is exactly what we need right now....
Wow, that decktracker value :P
Wisp v2.0 murloc edition! Coming Soon to a Tomb Near You!
It's still worse than Piloted Shredder.
The beast is a random card not from your deck, you can get any trashy beast from this or something else you didn't put in your deck to begin+ you have to spend mana to play the random card you drew. Shredder has 4 attack and spawns a minion for free.
The point is that Shredder contests 4 and 5 drops.
it's not as good as shredder. not in this meta
it's not sticky, you need extra mana to play whatever you pick and paying 4 mana to have a beast to trigger something like skill command is too slow
Shredder is 2 for 1, costs 4 mana and is only 1 card. either they have to kill it twice or they have to silence it then kill it, then it's not hard to kill their 2/1 owl
This thing is only better in that it is card draw. So you could get something like a highmane and play it turn 6, so I guess it could help you curve out. But hunter decks already curve out and there's better ways to implement draw mechanics into your deck that aren't rng
this will not replace shredder
Announcing only 1 week prior will surely mean less people come prepared, no time to hoard gold, so slightly more people will spend money. I guess. Doh.
That's the gist.
A business doing SLEAZY things to coerce people to spending more money they really shouldn't have to! Fuck Blizzard, I saw the new adventure coming so I started saving up gold a couple of weeks back, but I haven't got nearly enough to afford it all with them springing this bullshit on me, so I'll just BE late to the expansion this time!
It's far from sleazy. It's merely sensible.
And TBH it doesn't bother me too much seeing barely any of the cards are like "omg I gotta get this ASAP". None of the cards looks like it will be so drastic that you HAVE TO have it to be able to compete.
I'm okay with hoarding post-launch in this case.
........huh..........
Well, I'm glad I started saving my gold last month
That is not a typo. They're insane.
I lol'd... up you go sir!
