DNAwesom_e posted a message on Bug in the Non-Duplicate Protection systemPosted in: General DiscussionHey guys,
So I just disenchant the nerfed DH cards for the dust value and immediately bought 4 AoO packs to get those cards back (talking about Skull of Gul'dan, and Imprisoned Antaen).
Logically, I supposed to get 4 new copies of the cards, but instead, I got duplicated of random rare cards of the expansion.
Did anyone get the same result?

TenBones posted a message on Guide to New Duplicate Protection SystemPosted in: General DiscussionThanks SCWT_FTW. Do you know how gold cards fit into this? Specifically, if I dust a gold card of a rare set (and don't then currently have 2 of that rare card), can that card still be eligible for duplication production from non-golden rares I open? If it's not, it almost completely nerfs disenchanting golden cards, because odds are you'll never be able to fill back in with non-golden versions. This would dramatically impact the amount of dust we're able to get to fill in our collections.

ThisWasTheOnlyUsernameAvailable posted a message on About the priest rework..Posted in: General DiscussionHey OP, that's a pretty fair question. You'll have to forgive the other guy, nobody knows who he is anyway.
Priest is in an exciting spot, probably the most exciting class aside from Demon Hunter to be honest. The reworked basic set gave Anduin and co. some really good tools that should be around for a while now (HoF not withstanding). Priest historically relied on expansions for its direction as the basic and classic sets were just too weak (Cleric aside). Things should be a little different with the changes.
My advice would be to just wait. See how it goes once the new set launches and the new cards are available. There should be at least one viable deck to play. If you still like the feel then stick with Priest. There's no other class in the game that tilts people quite like Priest which is reason enough to play it!
At the same time it may be a good idea to start looking at other classes that interest you. Reno Mage may be something you'll like but it's super expensive to craft. Don't make any decisions now though. There's just a few weeks until Outlands releases and you'll have your answers then.

Dunscot posted a message on Control Druid that Can Gain 2,563 Armor in One TurnPosted in: General Discussion2,563 will not enough to win against any fatique deck. And there are a lot fatique deck in wild for example jade druid any elysiana priest warrior or shamman and some other infinite decks and this is a combo deck so not powerful against midrange and skulking geist and dirty rat and deathlord (dirty and deathlord generally not that powerful but there are just a few minions in your deck so) this deck probably not gonna work
Do you have any idea how much 2500 armor is? When you are 20 turns into fatigue, you took a total of 210 damage. You could take an additional 50 damage EACH of these turns and you still wouldn't even be close to taking actual damage from fatigue. At a ridiciulous 30 turns into fatigue, you took a combined 465. At 40 turns, which isn't even possible anymore, you'd have just taken 820 damage. Jade Druids and Pogo Rogues can theoretically make their minions bigger and bigger, but they are still limited with the board size, so they can't just keep summoning bigger minions, if you leave their board full, like with a Poison Seeds. Unless your opponent has one of the biggest boards imaginable, or plays infinite Coldlight Oracles, fatigue damage won't be a problem. EVER.
However, this deck has no alternate win condition, and an opponent with an infinite deck won't take fatigue damage either, so you'll just reach the turn limit and the game ends in a draw.
Yes, disruption and instant win conditions like Mecha'thun and (most likely) aggressive decks will just end you. But make no mistake. 2500 armor is more than enough to outlast ANY deck with a limited number of cards in them, and any infinite deck likely won't be able to scratch the paint of your armor before the game ends.

Following kripparian’s advice to save all duplicate cards, in case any of them get nurfed and can be DE’d for full value, I haven’t pressed the button in over a year. The pride of my collection is the 5 Force of Natures which are the most likely card to be changed and could get me 300 dust extra each in the upcoming classic and common card rebalance. When it was confirmed that the Naxx and GvG cards would be cycling out and would not be getting nurfed I decided to DE all of my extra GvG cards including my second Dr. Boom.
When I needed a little extra dust I decided to wade through my collection dusting all the cards that I knew would never be changed, which took over 15 minutes of button mashing all because the mass disenchant button has no other options for use. Nearing the end of my collection and my concentration was pretty low as I had been mentally deciding keep/dust on cards for ages, keeping things like Blade Flurry and dusting my golden Gnomish Experimenters, when I reached the high mana cards and legendaries. Here I dusted Boom No. 2, Rag 2 and 3 and Alexstrasza 2 when I stopped myself… Actually, I thought to myself, Alexstrasza might be changed, I’ll just undo tha…
As you may be aware at this point, the undo craft/disenchant button is only available if you have less than the max number of cards that can go in a deck. So I was unable to undo accidentally dusting my 2nd copy of a legendary despite blizzard implementing two fail safes to stop this happening (the other being the warning that pops up when you attempt to dust your second copy, allowing you to cancel).
So here I am now. If Alexstrasza doesn’t end up being nurfed then I will have lost nothing. If she gets modified and the DE value remains the same I will have lost nothing. But if she does get changed then a year of painstakingly mashing buttons because the mass disenchant button isn’t good enough will all be for nothing and I will still lose 1200 dust regardless.
There was my rant, petty I know but I would hate to lose the game over a small misplay, if you know what I mean. In an Ideal world someone at blizzard would read this and, knowing if alex was getting nurfed or not, reimburse me with my Alexstrasza and subtract the 400 dust I got from my pile.
I’m interested, has this or anything similar happened to anyone else? And what do you think about the undo button being disabled for extra cards? Surely if you undo one you should be able to undo as many as you need.

got Alexstrasza this week :D
shame it's one of only about 3 legendaries that I already crafted... can't say 6 months of use was worth 1200 dust but such is the way with random card packs.

With Old Murk-Eye and Captain's Parrot no longer being given for free upon acquiring their corresponding tribe, as of the coming update. My question is simply is it worth crafting all the murlocs (no point for pirates) in gold to get golden Old Murk-Eye or 1600 dust if I change my mind?

Nerf cards that haven't seen play in the over two year this game has been out?
Master of Disguise and Tundra Rhino wtf?

In the weeks leading up to the announcement for LoE, blizzard planned a tavern brawl (Captain blackheart's treasure I believe it was called) to show off and tease the new mechanic they had been working on, discover. Although, due to technical difficulties, the tavern brawl was not playable until after the adventure had been released, it shows that they do consider brawls as a way to test and get community feedback for upcoming content without stating it explicitly.
Another example of this was the great summoners brawl sometime earlier where the rules of that weeks brawl found their way onto a printed card in the LoE set, being Summoning Stone. If you haven't already seen it, this weeks tavern brawl has a simple mechanic where both heroes have taunt making all non taunt minions unattackable.
While this mechanic on a minion might not be suited to widespread use like discover, I think it's highly likely that we will see a single minion or legendary in the upcoming set that gives your hero taunt, as the visual indicator (shown above) is already coded into the game. Some implementations of this might include a minion, the new warrior legendary (fitting the taunt warrior theme being pushed lately, it might even come on a weapon like a shield!) or even a cheap hunter card that gives your opponents hero taunt :D
Let me know what you think about this mechanic on a card or If you think there have been any other tavern brawls that might contain spoilers for upcoming features.
