Hey folks. I've been trying to catch up to the current rank meta (US) but I keep getting bogged down, due in no small part to being low on cash / gold and not having a lot of the rare / epic / legendary that are becoming staples in the new meta, such as Twin Emperor, N'zoth, Yogg Saron, and the healadin Ragnaros.
Here are some of the epics and legendaries across all xpacs that I'm considering disenchanting and what I think about them. I wanted some feedback on my thoughts before I accidentally disenchant something essential. Many thanks for your time!
DRUID Force of Nature - Not sure of its worth post-nerf Ancient of Lore - Are 2 still a good idea after the nerf? Malorne - Is his effect worth that mana? Also can't be used in Standard.
HUNTER Giant Sand Worm - I don't play hunter much. Is this guy SW:D / BGH bait or a good play?
MAGE Ice Block - Are 2 necessary? Anomalus - I could see it being more valuable if it had a taunt, but it doesn't.
PRIEST Forbidden Shaping - Feels like too much RNG. Herald Volazj - Looks fun in theory but the 1/1 copies could easily become victims of cheap board clear.
ROGUE Trade Prince Gallywix - I never see him used much. Plus he can't be used in Standard Mode.
WARLOCK Bane of Doom - I have a love-hate relationship w/ this card due to the amount of demons now in the game. You can get Mal'ganis or you can get a Blood Imp. Not sure what to do with it. Dark Bargain - I feel like there are much better clears with better mana costs and no card loss.
WARRIOR Brawl - Definitely keeping ONE Brawl, but are two necessary? Tentacles for Arms - Even with the deathrattle, steep mana cost for low damage?
NEUTRAL Southsea Captain - As much as I want to climb the ladder with my gimicky pirate deck, I just don't see it happening. Fel Reaver - That 3+ card loss during my opponent's turn feels like getting punched in the face repeatedly. Frost Giant - Has potential...your opinions? Majordomo Executus - I've won every game where my opponent plays him. He seems more like a death sentence than help.
I've never really been into hunter decks, but this one is really fun to climb the ladder with. Finley works wonders against aggro. Overall it's a very well-rounded mid-range hunter deck and a blast to play.
Generally you want to save your Lightbomb for bigger value board clears. When you're fighting aggro/secret paladin decks or control decks with beefy high-attack minions, those Lightbombs can save the game for you. Try to use a Shadow Word: Death on Dr Boom and take care of the bombs individually.
I replaced Brann because I didn't feel like the battlecry effects of the deck were strong enough to justify putting him there. Legendary dragon minions work well with the deck theme but if you want a lower cost minion go with Harrison Jones for card draw and knocking out weapon threats.
This deck is pretty fun when it works, but sadly isn't viable in ranked. There's just too much control and direct aggro in the meta for it to climb the ladder. But it's still enjoyable to play in casual or for dailies.
Great deck, I've been missing playing Paladin and this guide was just what I needed. I only don't have Harrison Jones but that doesn't seem to be a big problem.
I played against someone who was using this deck, it completely took me by surprise and was really interesting to watch. (Needless to say they kicked my butt.) Really nice build, two thumbs up!
I got to rank 15 or so pretty quickly this month, but I'm currently having trouble with the Hunter decks that go straight for the face. I was thinking of making a heal-focused taunt deck but given how fast these hunter decks I've been seeing are, I don't if that's viable due to the speed. Any advice on what class / style to play to get past the hunter swarm?
Will these card packs be limited like the Naxxramas solo adventure was? Money is really tight for me right now so I'm going to have to earn them the old fashioned way.

Sounds like a good addition to the deck, especially with Wild Pyromancer + Patron. I would definitely try it out if I had WoG Mukla.

Having your opponent play C'thun when you have Patron + Armorsmith on your board is a religious experience.

The meta caught up with this really fast. Mages, rogues, and paladins are tearing me up.

For the lower attack minions like Deathlord and Knife Juggler, Blackwing Corruptor and Cabal Shadow Priest are good for dealing with them. A good late game Shrinkmeister + Cabal Shadow Priest can even get valuable cards like Ysera on your side while creating board presence.

Fun deck. Any advice against oil rogue?

I honestly didn't expect it to be so easy, but I beat heroic Garr on the first try with this deck! Really nice, thanks!

Nothing quite like Ragnaros on turn 4 (with Innervate). Now that was fun! :D
