Amjii, unlike the previous expansion, this one lacks a few midrange-ey decks such as Hunter and Tempo Mage so you're only gonna do well against half the meta with a deck like yours. But as you said you're gonna lose hard to the other half of the meta, namely to Reno, Priest and Druid. They will all laugh hard at your measly 1 and a 1/2 wincons there. :)
What this boils down to, in autumn I was able to get legend with a Control shaman with a >60% win rate because I had good or even matchups against most of the meta decks. Now I'm scrambling to keep a 50% win rate and unable to break back into rank 5. It's just sad. :(
I've tried everything and sadly I have to pronounce Control Shaman dead this expansion. You absolutely need to tech against aggro and even then you're relying on lucky draws. Most times you're dead by turn 5 or 6 anyway.
And you just cannot outcontrol renolock (that feeling when they Dirty Rat your N'zoth because your hand is full of useless AoE... (happened to me 2x today at rank 5)).
Well, maybe the next expansion... I'm out till then.
If you run AdBlock, you'd quickly see that the site is bloated with ad trackers and beacons. Last I checked there was something 30 separate items blocked by AdBlock. The site is bloated with nonsense.
If you're viewing mobile, you don't really have the option of blocking all the crap that our desktop browsers can.
I'm using adblock in both FF and Chrome, and yet the site is only slow in FF.
Ok, I just got back from the Rogue forums where they had a discussion thread locked. That thread wasn't even talking about the current card, but the card that some of them wished it was. They created their own version of the cards and were discussing their non existent version and that was the thread that was locked.
This is discouraging.
Btw, I saw your crusher shaman thread, well titled. It shouldn't get locked now. If it does, I'll open it, there's clearly a deckbuilding view involved.
Frosty, how is that thread "well titled", exactly? Had I not seen it mentioned here I would have easily dismissied it, thinking it's most likely just another new player being late to the party of playing a control shaman deck with Earth Elementals. Nothing in the title indicates it's actually a discussion of our new legendary and I'm not really interested in old decsks when new shaman cards are being released.
Which brings me to the crux of the issue - why even have class forums, if we cannot discuss class cards in them, or at least not "openly" (lol, feels nazi, much)? I mean if we are to discuss all cards in the Cards Discussion forum, then you may as well turn it up to 11 and deflect all deckbuilding into the General Deckbuilding subforum, no?
If not allowing class card discussions in class subforums (just because the topic is already in GD) is part of the job of a mod here, I'll be forced to move on I guess. Ideally, somewhere where class card discussions are moved from GD into class forums. Now that would be moderation in my book!
Wow, I just got up, saw my thread has been locked and wanted to start this same topic! Thanks Yasyne!
Reason I started the "official" Devolve thread is EXACTLY because I (as others here) DO NOT really visit other forums on this site, not even the General Discussion one. Hence I did not know there already was a Devolve thread in the GD. And even if there was, what exactly is the harm of having another one here? Just change the thread title to "Unofficial" to satisfy your urge to overmoderate and be done with it? :)
"That's why having multiple threads about the same card wouldn't be ideal."
Look, there's another thing here that's not "ideal" and we all have to put up with it all the same - the site is too slow to enjoy for casual browsing of all latest topics! And I personally only visit it from time to time to check the Shaman sub. So can we call it even, with you keeping on NOT fixing the site, and us being allowed to discuss shaman cards in the shaman forum separately?
So it seems our new class forum is pretty much dead, compared to our previous home where we'd see several new posts/topics per day. Here we barely see one new post in 24 hours.
Now the question to ask - is this because shaman is currently in such a good spot (or conversely, so hated?) that there's simply nothing new to discuss/brainstorm as far as this class is concerned?
Or is it because using this forum is such a painful experience for many, what with the atrocious loading times and the site maxing out CPUs and overheating notebooks akin to latest-gen PC games, as it tries to render in a browser? :P

I mean it's fine on PC desktop Chrome.

N'zoth jade has been OKish. But I'm liking this one a lot more:

In Chrome it's almost perfectly fine for me, for some reason. Too bad my main browser is Firefox.
Devs, any input on this?

And while we're on the topic FrostyFeet, care to link the "official" Devolve thread from the GD? :P
This comes up empty:

How does Devolve not have its own thread yet? Oh wait, now it does. Discuss. :)
I for one cannot wait to put this in my control shaman.
