Shadowform is necessary for board control and for getting some extra damage in with Velen. I could see myself dropping it for the Deathknight if it's good, and putting in a Mass Dispel then.
My issue with Mass Dispel is that playing it just to draw feels really bad and it's dead in more matchups than not. I might need it to reduce the effective size of my deck so playing will help me pick cards that aren't good enough. I would try Purify but I can really only Silence Barnes or the 1/1.
You should run 3-cost prince, and replace 3-cost cards with some draw (my opinion). Combo won't happen without draw
It would take actual play with the deck to find out if that is worth dropping both Deaths and Shadowform (which is in there for the extra combo damage with Velen). This is the kind of deck I see that Prince Taldaram working well in but I have to find out if there's room.
The Priest spells that draw are Power Word: Shield (already 2 in there), Mass Dispel (might be worth running but I'd need to play with the deck to find out) and Purify (lol). I can't play any draw minions because they'll mess with my Eternal Servitudes.
edit: I could drop the Barnes gimmick to play two Northshire Cleric, perhaps, but Barnes helps get the combo out earlier when I don't draw Malygos or Velen early enough, and can get around transform effects (because they won't transform the 1/1).
Eternal Servitude is way too strong to not see play with Prophet Velen or Malygos. Think of it like Ancestor's Call which supported Malygos Shaman back in the day. If the card works like a normal Discover effect, you'll never be shown two of the same minion, so even if all of your minions have died (total of 5), Radiant Elemental is still only shown once, so you're guaranteed to be shown Velen or Malygos, or both.
And you won't always need all of the combo pieces. Just two Eternal Servitude, and one Mind Blast with both Velen or one of each is 20 damage. One Eternal Servitude into Malygos with two Mind Blast and a Holy Smite is 27 damage.
The deck isn't optimal of course, and it might still get destroyed by aggro, but there are plenty of ways to make this work well. Lyra might fit but it could ruin your Eternal Servitude if a Radiant Elemental and Lyra die, so Barnes would likely have to go then.
Everyone goes to this card for minions with 2 or less attack that require investment. But I am trying really hard to remember the last time I have seen that card in constructed.
Its just a meme at this point. If this card and cards like it start getting traction, Cabal Shadow Priest could show up again.
Blizzard printed the three princes too. Are they promoting a garbage meta?
Not the point. Blizzard might want this card to see play. They may not necessarily want the Prince cards to see play, and they will require creative deckbuilding, much like this card.
The effect is beyond awesome, but playing a 4/6 on turn 7 is a slippery slope. also, wouldn't this just make it harder for you to draw the cards you need?
You don't play this on 7. You play it when you're in fatigue and your opponent isn't so you can get out of fatigue.
Adding Velen to your post doesn't really help making your point. I haven't seen a single person playing Velen in the last 1.5 years now... I meant in the long run. In 2 years you won't have Lyra anymore. So there are no class legendaries that will be played by Priest, unless the other legendary is really good or the ones in the next expansions will be. But that's information we don't have yet, so can't talk about those.
People want to play Velen, and its being promoted by Eternal Servitude. Also, in 2 years, we won't have this card either. I don't get your point.
As a main Priest player I am very disappointed. For now we still have good legendaries but when they rotate out we will be stuck with this.... The effect is epic but that's about it. Nobody will use this on high level in constructed, that's for sure.
When what rotates out? Raza? That's the only Priest legendary that's rotating out next year. Lyra will still be here and so will the next legendary, and so will Velen. Priest doesn't have a problem with the next rotation.
Except they are NOT guaranteed to be good cards that you're getting, which is why it's just. Like. Malchezaar.
Making your text bigger doesn't make your post any more convincing, fyi.
In case you haven't noticed, most of the people in this thread don't care if the card is competitive, just that its fun. Look on the brighter side of Hearthstone and you'll have a better life.
Maybe the Priest Hero card has "Battlecry: Set your Health to the number of cards in your deck." Then me and my golden Spectre Anduin and my golden Archbishop Benedictus will laugh at all of you.

If it gets buggy again you should open now for free stuff as compensation
I.e., packs for NA and dust for EU

Do we have a blog post confirming this? Seems like it came out of nowhere.

Really great combo/value card. Gonna have to find a way to use this. Mage spells are really unique this expansion.

TL;DR, Radiant Elemental + Eternal Servitude = A lot of damage
Eternal Servitude is way too strong to not see play with Prophet Velen or Malygos. Think of it like Ancestor's Call which supported Malygos Shaman back in the day. If the card works like a normal Discover effect, you'll never be shown two of the same minion, so even if all of your minions have died (total of 5), Radiant Elemental is still only shown once, so you're guaranteed to be shown Velen or Malygos, or both.
Copied from the deck page:
Radiant Elementalx2 + Eternal Servitudex2 (both Velen) + Mind Blastx2 + Mind Shatter = 6 cards, 10 mana, 52 damage
Radiant Elementalx2 + Eternal Servitudex2 (one Velen, one Malygos) + Mind Blastx2 + Mind Shatter = 6 cards, 10 mana, 46 damage. You can add on Holy Smites for free for 14 damage each.
Radiant Elementalx2 + Eternal Servitudex2 (both Malygos) + Mind Blastx2 + Holy Smitex2 = 8 cards, 8 mana, 52 damage
And you won't always need all of the combo pieces. Just two Eternal Servitude, and one Mind Blast with both Velen or one of each is 20 damage. One Eternal Servitude into Malygos with two Mind Blast and a Holy Smite is 27 damage.

I mean maybe they'll be Frozen Throne packs, which would tie in with the expansion.

No. Its everything I've ever wanted. We can still get our Shadow Priest synergy from the Hero card.
edit: Also nice jebait on making the poll question different from the title. Almost got me.
