    Here are my 2 cents:

    The basis of your deck looks quiet good, I would just change it a little bit. Here we go:

    Emperor Cobra - Yes a nice addition, but imo it isnt needed here. It is a trade only minion having 2/3 stats. Since you want to control the board, you want to trade and survive. Remove it for 2x Shattered Suncleric. If you play Argent Squire, you want buff minions anyway. It mages absolutely no sense to play Argent Squire, if you have no buff minions in your deck.

    Abomination Sunwalker Remove the Abo and 1 Sunwalker for 2x Defender of Argus. Its such an amazing card. Best neutral atm in my opinion.

    Hellfire for 1 Soulfire (agree with DonFurr here)

    2x Molten Giant - always nice with Sunfury Protector. Maybe swap for Acolyte of Pain

    Siphon Soul - One of these should be enough imo

    Like Veev´s deck? Its prettyyyyyyyyyy strong, but after testing it for ~30 games, its not that fun to play in my opinion.

    Ive seen two priest the last 100 games (checked my statsrecorder). Priest is weak in my opinion. MC wont help him on turn 10, because the game is over most of the time. Even if he has it, I dont care to lose a 4/4 minion to it. Usually I buff my minions to about 4 attack, so his removals dont matter.

    Ok, heading to the arena now. Drew a mage without any fireball, pyro or frostbolt :D

    You face WL murlocs rank 1 - 7 A LOT! Never saw an Ooze but some of em are running Argus.

    Every second opponent is a rush WL. The deck is so easy to built, its cheap and scary. Just put every Murloc (2x) in it  except the Coldlight Oracle.

    Blood Imps, Voidwalker and Flame Imps do the rest

    Hello fellow mages,

    the nerfbat hit us hard and early frost control is too expensive now to be viable. Pre patch I was marching through the ranked system with a very solid buffed minions version. Since I was missing Alexstraza and 2 Mountain Giants, I didnt play the frost giants deck. Luckily mage was so reliable you could get away with many different decks. After the nerf Ive altered mine, removed some frost and got to rank 5. First I still tried to use the frosty aoe, but it became clear pretty fast, that a 3 mana, no damage frost nova is reaaaaaally useless. 4 mana for CoC makes this spell a no-no, too.

    Enough with the introduction, heres my deck:

    Ok, so let me explain:

    Mana Wyrm - Most people know, that this card can be amazing. 9 not-so-cheap-spells may not support it like Arcane Missiles and Mirror Image would, but if you go second and coin it into a Shattered Sun Cleric its becomes an awesome 3/4 on turn 2! Also please note, that it draws removals, because no opponent wants to see a Mana Wyrm on the field. Even if its 1/3, everybody tries to kill it asap.

    Novice Engineer Acolyte of Pain - You really really dont need that much card draw here. Even if you run out of steam, AoP+ping works wonders.

    Argent Squire - Its funny how often you see this card. The best early drop to be buffed up. Often a 1 for 2, if you manage to buff it.

    Sylvanas Windrunner - The best legendary in the game! Its an awesome comback card and can be a nice 1 for 3, if you time it right. Even if it gets silenced, its still a solid 5/5 for 5. If you dont have it, get it! Its a must have.

    Heres comes one of my favourite parts:
    Counterspell - You wont believe how many people run into this thinking its an Ice Block. Sure, before Ice block became so popular, everyone was playing low mana cards first, to see what secret it is, Nowadays its always an Ice block, right? It won me games, while protecting my loaded board against a Holy Nova or Blizzard.

    Possible replacements:
    You may want to remove one Novies Engineer or one Faerie Dragon for another Blizzard and/or Ice Block, whatever suits you best.

    "Wow man, you cant defend versus rush decks with this!" - wrong!
    Mulligan agressively into early drops, but never put down a suncleric. If your running just one Ice Block, you may want to keep it, too. Usually you get early boardcontrol except a WL puts down 2 Blood Imps right away + Flame Imps. You can still win there but its hard, nontheless.

    "Healadins" - They became more rare quiet fast, because mages are rare, too now. Just play patiently vs them. Snack down some hp, get boardcontrol, always ping their reinforcements, if possible and buff minions above 2 hp. Dont overdo the board, because Equality + Consecration win games.

    I really hope so. What else are Mages supposed to do against rush? Take the now-even-worse Frost Nova?

    Tried so many shit the last few days. I went straight to Rank 5, but its so damn hard to maintain, because everyone is playing a WL rush deck. Im dead on turn 5 or 6. No mage with a brain has his CoC still in the deck, because even if u manage to freeze the Blood Imps, ur still screwed the turn after

    Really no offense dude, but this wont work on higher ranks. 7+ is flooded with rush WL´s. You have almost no control early on and by turn 5 or 6 ur dead.

    Wow, return of the hunter!

    My opponent just won against my Rogue with some mean combos. Combos in Arena should be forbidden :D

    First he played a Scavenging Hyena which I couldnt kill that turn. Next turn he played Starving Buzzard and UTH (I had 3 minions on the field). Buzzard activated 3 times for 3 hounds. His Hyena went to 8/5 after he sent his hounds into my minions.

    I managed to kill it, but 2 turns later he played a Buzzard and UTH again, which gave him 3 new cards again -.-

    Im thinking about adding the Wild Pyromancer + Arcane Explosion again. You no take Candle is an option as well.
    Ice Block / Barrier might be an option as well against a WL

    I would be totally fine with a laughing emote.
    Its best use would be after the Mad Bomber kills both your 1 HP minions or after it shot all 3 barrels in his face :)
