Not sure how much I like the card without Taunt, since this is obviously The Curator 2.0, but being able to draw specific cards is great. However, putting Deathrattle, Lifesteal, and Rush cards that all make sense in one deck might be kind of tricky, and I'm not very confident that this will be worthwhile if you can only draw 1-2 cards from it. Deathrattle is usually pretty easy to work out for control decks, and the same goes for Lifesteal for the most part, but unless one of Swift Messenger, Muck Hunter, or Gilnean Royal Guard is VERY good, this might not make the cut in most decks. Swift Messenger seems like the ideal pick for me, since on your next turn it's essentially a Fireball, but Gilnean Royal Guard is pretty good on curve I'd imagine.

Shadow Word: Horror comes down on turn 4 and can be pulled by Shadow Visions. This is a slightly better but still very conditional Corrupted Seer, which means it'll likely see more play in arena than constructed, just like the Seer did.

This is fine as a 6/7, and people are really underestimating the value of a big taunt on turn ~4 to crush aggro. If you remember, Handlock used to be a pretty good deck, and people are still running variants of Cubelock with Mountain Giant. Although your Hero Power is theoretically worse than tapping in this scenario, the Totem Cruncher comes with Taunt, and you don't have to damage yourself, AND Shaman has (imo) better removal than Warlock between Volcano and Lightning Storm and Tidal Surge, AND they have Healing Rain, which could make this a great card. It could work in Even Shaman as well, but I think this card isn't necessarily a great one for a more Tempo-based deck, which I assume Even Shaman would want to be, since it misses 3 of the 4 pretty important cards listed above for control.

As for the argument that the card is a 4 Mana 2/3, 6 Mana 4/5, etc, it's a lot better than that because you don't pay that cost all on one turn, and you can get use out of your Totems (especially Wrath of Air Totem) before you crunch them.

Hydrologist also doesn't require you to run the bad cards in your deck

I think this is a pretty good card, but only if you have some sort of combo deck that thins the deck out ASAP with Call to Arms now that Auctionmaster Beardo is rotating, or if we get a good Secret or another synergy card that makes this worthwhile. None of the Paladin Secrets are really worth running at the moment, and though this card helps make them better, none of them seem powerful enough to run the risk of drawing a terrible card. Ideally, you would like to be able to run six Secrets with two of these, so you can always have them pull out at least 1 Secret and be able to account for Redemption giving you an extra pull from one copy of the Sentry, but that's probably too many to consider running without some significant upside. In Wild though, this should be a good card in Exodia Paladin where you can afford to run Secrets with Beardo, and the Secrets are better overall.

posted a message on [UNCONFIRMED] New card boissss

My gut says fake, but I can't find the art online, and it seems like a pretty good quality fake if it is one, probably made in Photoshop and not HearthCards. As for all the possible Ebon Dragonsmith synergy people are thinking about, that's not likely to be good. I've been playing a bit of Val'anyr Paladin for fun and for science as of late, and even with The Curator (which is rotating from Standard once the Witchwood hits) there to ensure you draw the Ebon Dragonsmiths, it's still very inconsistent, and you're often left with an expensive weapon you can't play just yet or a 4 Mana 3/4 you don't want to play. Using the card as an activator might make the awkwardness of it less relevant, but I don't think there's enough synergy with just the Dragonsmith and the Silver Sword to make either viable. If we get another Dragon AND Weapon synergy card then maybe it'll work out, but probably not.

posted a message on Iksar Explains why no Keyword Exists for "Can't be Targeted by Spells or Hero Powers"

Spellshield seems like it would be a pretty good term for the effect, and even though it might imply that a card is shielded from just your opponent's spells, a lot of new players already make that mistake when they see cards with the current text anyway. I guess you might think that the card is able to block the effect of one spell, similar to Divine Shield, when you see the keyword, but the graphical difference, and the fact that that would be both way too similar to Divine Shield, would likely make it easy to distinguish the difference. Also, Shimmering Courser could simply stay with it's current text even if a keyword was added, or be changed slightly to say "Has Spellshield on your opponent's turn." or something like that.

People just ran different cheap spells, for example Shiv was a lot more prevalent back in the day, and Deadly Poison was a lot better because you could actually kill things with your weapons without dying as quickly as you do nowadays. There was also Conceal before it was Hall of Famed, and for a while Tomb Pillager to get you those sweet sweet Coins.

posted a message on New Druid Card Reveal: Ironwood Golem

Twilight Guardian was a Dragon in a time before Saronite Chain Gang came into being, which is a big distinction to make. Also, one of the strengths of Sen'jin Shieldmasta back when it was played was that it would generally take 6 points of damage to kill unless you were a Rogue, since you'd usually have to trade in 2 3/2's or a Fireball to kill it. Saronite Chain Gang can also pretty consistently be killed on turn 4 with 2 pieces of 3 damage, so I don't think 6 Health really cuts it at this point. If this was even a 3/7 or a 4/6 I think it could see play, but as a 3/6 it just doesn't seem good enough.

Sen'jin Shieldmasta is by no means a bad card, it's simply outclassed at the moment by Tar Creeper, and it was still being run in some decks as recently as Karazhan if I remember correctly. The only reason it's "bad" is because there are better, non-basic options than it at the moment. Once Un'Goro and Saronite Chain Gang from KFT rotate, unless Blizzard prints another card to compete with it, it'll probably trickle back into play.

Furnacefire Colossus won't work, as discarding a card doesn't trigger its Deathrattle in any other cases.

Sadly, it doesn't work, since Doomerang doesn't actually destroy the weapon and it loses all of its enchantments.

Perdition's Blade is actually pretty fine, it's a bit situational, but it's still playable imo
