This plus Play Dead - well, maybe not since it would be just a two-card combo replacement for Deadly Shot. Also, the minion itself means a loss of tempo, so I'm not sure how it pans out. Stitched Tracker is only being played because of the increase in consistency but would Hunter really need another unreliable single target removal?

Hunter would play it if you could use it with a board clear, and with Rush and lot of Deathrattle triggers that just might be possible in a lot of cases.

If you compare this to the Bestow mechanic from Magic: the Gathering, it actually has a lot of advantages. Magic had a similar mechanic where you could pay a separate, almost always higher Bestow cost (which is one advantage Magnetic cards have) to have the card come into play as a buff on another creature instead of a creature itself. Bestow could be used on any creature, which is an upside for it, but it really encouraged certain cards that gained advantages from getting buffs/playing buffs, and without them it was pretty subpar.

In the same vein, Magnetic cards highly encourage you playing Mechs, and although they can be played without them, they lose most of the advantage without them. If you think about Magnetic cards as being baseline buff spells with a deck building requirement, but ones that can also be played with no minions on the board, you can start to see why they have so much potential.

A big part of why the Bestow cards in Magic had steeper costs to Bestow than be played normally is because you're essentially giving the card charge, and since Magnetic cards have no increased cost when fusing, there's potential for some seriously broken stuff there. It all depends on the quantity and quality of Mechs released in the set of course, but if we don't see some GvG levels of Mechs and Mech synergy I'm going to be surprised, and if there isn't a tier 1 Mech Deck in Standard after this set comes out, I'm going to be VERY surprised.

I'm excited to see possible Deathrattle Mech synergy in this set, because by being a Mech this card at least can't mess with your Kathrena Winterwisp pulls, and thus can be run in Recruit Hunter. You can then give it Rush with Houndmaster Shaw and/or trigger its effect with Spiritsinger Umbra, Terrorscale Stalker, and Play Dead, which makes this a great control tool relatively early in the game. You can also run other Mechs and try to pile up a huge Deathrattle combo with Play Dead, and I would be surprised if we didn't see a big 8-Cost Deathrattle Mech printed for exactly this strategy for Hunter, which I think would push this card into being very good. I also like the chances that a few low cost Mechs get printed in the set that could enable a more aggressive Deathrattle Hunter, with lots of Magnetic cards fusing together to avoid board clears and Deathrattle triggers to get extra value from your Zombeast-esque Mech. Overall, I very much like this card, and I think it has the potential to become meta-defining if a few choice cards are printed alongside it.

If you use it with Ancestral Spirit does it resummon two? or Spirit Echo?

I highly double the second cast is random but is the second cast able to target a different target? I kind of doubt it based on how most other cards work but that would be some added flex.

Ancestral Spirit and Spirit Echo will work the same way they work if you play two copies of either card, you summon two copies of the minion or add two copies of the minion to your hand when it dies. Based on how Battlecry doubling with Brann Bronzebeard/Murmuring Elemental works, both spells will have the same target, nothing will be randomly selected.

A 4 mana 2/6 taunt isn't very good, sure, but look at hooked reaver - it's a 4 mana 4/4 no taunt unless you play it late(ish) in the game yet it still sees play.

Hooked Reaver, however, has an easy to activate ability against aggro, since you'll be losing tons of life early, and it only sees play in even decks where you can't run Rotten Applebaum. Also, it's not a Mech, which currently means nothing, but this set is probably going to care a LOT about whether or not a card is a Mech, maybe to nearly GvG levels of synergy. Unless a very good even Druid list comes about from this expansion, or Warlock suddenly gains the ability to ramp instead of having Mana destruction, I don't see it seeing much play. It might not be right to write it off entirely, but it's definitely not right to have anywhere near high hopes for the card either.

Usually since standard we've been getting expansions during early April, August and December, which allows for three sets, one every four months, during the year. This is the date for the new set announcement where we'll get the first half dozen or so cards, which'll be followed by the month of spoilers, so we can expect the new set's release date to fall about halfway though August.

As for the image, I'm pretty sure that's an orc and not a goblin hand, as goblins are consistently portrayed with long fingernails in art, and the fact that a singular bite across the fruit has left only 5 tooth marks suggests a much larger mouth than a goblin has. The fruit looks like an apple to me because of the stem and the shape at the bottom, which looks like it curves in the way an apple does.

As it turns out, Dragons LOVE it when you kill 2/1 minions, which explains why so few Black Whelp s ever reach adulthood.

A great 1 drop for a Dragon Hunter, Witchwood Tracker allows you the chance to get a huge tempo swing early in the game with a 1-cost Dragon like Carrion Drake or Emeriss , while not taking a huge investment from you. The card is pretty easily countered by certain decks, since it can be killed on the opponents turn without any risk and only has 1 Health, but some aggressive decks may find themselves unable to play cards on their first turns, as this can trade into most 1 and 2 drops and give you a huge tempo swing, especially with a Candleshot to give you 1 extra damage on turn 2 to clear a card like Voidwalker .

As it turns out, there's a very good reason why you "Gotta go fast!"

This card is meant to act as a high-risk, high-reward card for both Zoo and Control Warlock. A 4 Mana 5/5 Taunt is obviously very good, and this card is extra powerful because you can get it back from both N'Zoth the Corruptor and Bloodreaver Gul'dan , but if you let the game go on for too long, this card will destroy you in Fatigue, especially because the Deathrattle stacks if several copies of the card die.

In Zoo this isn't too bad of a drawback, but if your opponent can stabilize and put you into a position where you're topdecking each turn, there's still a chance that you'll have to deal with extra fatigue. As you can have as many as 8 copies of this card die in a game with N'zoth and Gul'dan, in a Control deck the drawback may actually just be death once you run out of cards, which also makes you more vulnerable to Azari the Devourer in a mirror match.
