Soul DH counters them hard

What happened to this card? Was the AI behind it changed recently?
I never remember having so many problems with Zephrys offering zero viable picks 6+ months ago.
It seems to miss lethal, fail to offer silence or proper cost removal all the time now.
Zephrys is obviously still a good card or it can be good, it can also single-handedly throw you a loss on a play that should be an easy finisher.
It seems to be doing the latter more often since the most recent expansion.
I don't have this concern solely based on memory - my highlander statistics seem to suggest something has changed with a drop in performance.
Anyone else noticed this or have any insight into what might be going on?

I would be surprised if they DIDN'T monitor what people were saying online about their game. They've invested huge amounts of money into it, and would be well-advised to see what the public reaction to their product is. I would also add that Blizzard's competitors would equally have a vested interest in monitoring what was being said about HS, to help them design competing products or anticipate future changes to HS.
At the same time, no company is going to take what's said at Hearthpwn or any other gaming site TOO seriously. The information Blizzard gets from these sites is just one small piece of the information it gathers to plan out where it takes HS next.
The more sinister implication of your question is, "Are Blizzard employees posting stuff to defend HS or prevent people from being too critical of it?" The only answer that can logically be given is "maybe." Similarly, one can ask "Are the people posting complaint threads secretly employees of Blizzard's competitors trying to undermine the game?" Again, the only logical answer one can give is "maybe." But making either accusation against a poster here makes zero sense. Rather than trying to guess someone's identity, you're better off focusing on the logic of their argument.

This must be the healthiest meta of all times
What's wrong guys? Not good enough?

Here's my "unpopular" take...at least I have Horace's support ; )
I started playing in December of 2014 and I enjoy the game as much now as I did when I started. It has certainly evolved for better or worse (seems most people in this thread agree on the latter). I can't argue that there have been some (very?) unfun metas along the way but overall I still really like playing the game.
I tend to focus on single player and playing with friends, which has probably helped to keep my sanity over the years; especially when the meta was not in a great place. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Hs is better than ever

Legendaries should be 2x stronger and common + rare cards should be shit cards nobody wants to use, but they have to until they get better cards.
I could not disagree more with this take. It would take forever for new players to get a playable deck if rares and commons were bad. Plus, if legendaries were the strongest cards, every deck would be playing the same legendaries which would make the meta feel so stale. This is literally why Ragnaros and Sylvanas were hall of famed: they were solid cards that could be slotted into any deck, which made decks and classes feel less unique. Commons and rares should be the backbone of every deck. Legendaries should be interesting and unique, either a strong one-off effect, or a card you build your deck around.
To return to the subject, I started playing Hearthstone after the Old Gods expansion, so four years. In that time, Hearthstone has only gotten better IMO. Generally, metas have gotten more balanced, allowing for a greater variety of decks, and match-ups have become more equal and play out in different ways every time. To me, Hearthstone has never been more enjoyable than it is now.

Any change to a card should allow a refund, buff or nerf.

Quote from DietThunder >>You owe yourself better than this. Either play decks you like, decks that are designed to beat priest, or stop playing. You don’t need the stress or the bother—this is a BS kids game and it is not worth your sanity.
Thanks for the pep talk, Dad but I'm doing just fine.

Source?
Wishful thinking. But sadly not happening!
It is, it was stated during the Demon Hunter reveal, plus it makes total sense since Demon hunter prologue was released before AoO

Enjoyable last game with this deck at D5. Got to play C'Thun three times before finally sinking a res Priest. Happy days!

I've found Duels fun so far. I'm much more likely to break up my Standard ladder play with a game of Duels than one of the other modes. I rarely play Arena and Battlegrounds has never appealed.
The new mode also gives me a reason to learn about the older sets. I never had much of an incentive before as I don't play Wild.
Another new game mode coming next year.

Played a couple of runs this afternoon after work. It's good fun!

In recent times I've tended to amass slightly over 8,000 gold in the 4 months leading up to a new expansion - mostly completing my dailies on ladder. While I suspect I play more than most, I doubt I'm a complete outlier or my experience is too atypical.
Releasing Darkmoon Faire 3 weeks earlier than expected means my pile will be about 1,400 gold or 14 expansion packs lighter. On the upside, we get to play the new content sooner.
Additionally, landing in the mid-diamond ranks most months nets me an additional 8 packs per month (4 SA and 4 classic packs), a sprinkling of dust and gold, and the occasional epic card. I have 5-6 Arena tickets, too, with rewards attached.
HS isn't cheap or overly generous, but I don't mind paying for a game that I play regularly and is being actively developed.
The upcoming game changes sound promising. Let's see.

Big fan of DH. Don't main it, but think it's been a great addition to the game. Limited RNG, interesting flavour and good for new or returning players.
Starting HS now is a time-intensive and/or expensive endeavour. It took me the better part of two years to get a halfway decent standard collection. DH allows newbies to play competitive decks without too much difficulty.

Picked up Headmaster Kel'Thuzad, Keymaster Alabaster and 2500ish in dust from the bundle.

There's no reason one can't be on HearthPwn, Out of Cards and Hearthstone Top Decks, is there?

First pre-release bundle I've purchased.
5 legendaries from the 85 packs: Forest Warden Omu (pack 5), Rattlegore (pack 36), Lord Barov (pack 48), Mindrender Illlucia (pack 63) and a golden Speaker Gidra (second-to-last golden pack). 19 epics.
Haven't been particularly keen on Priest, Paladin or Warrior since starting to play in early 2019, but let's see how things turn out!

Everyone gets a free legendary and 6 SA packs through quests.
