xskarma posted a message on Seek Guidance BugPosted in: General DiscussionExplaining how to perform an exploit -- and worse, providing a deck to accomplish it -- is a bannable offense.
This is fine. This is not an exploit, it's a bug.
An exploit is if you have to do things that are against the rules or do things within the margins of the rules that cause things to happen that are not within the rules.
This is neither. This is just an interaction between 2 cards, functioning in the way they should, which leads to 1 minor thing happening with another spell, which still functions more or less like intended and within the rules of the game.
It would be an exploit if doing this caused your opponent to disconnect and lose, or to automatically destroy your opponent, without it being meant that way, or to accidentally increase the XP gains from the match (or lower). This is just a bug that cuases your opponent to finish his quest 1 card early. It;s fine.
I'm sure Blizz will fix it when they have the next patch out. :) -

ZCFlayer posted a message on Hero Power Not BalancedPosted in: General DiscussionZero logic in the OPs post. By his own reasoning a hero power has an effect worth 0.5 mana from cards. DH having +1 attack for 1 mana implies the +1 attack is worth 0.25 mana and Warrior having +2 armour for 2 mana implies +1 armour is worth 0.25 mana. So +1 attack and +1 armour is worth 0.5 mana, which is exactly the value it should be.

Crovex posted a message on Hero portrait shop opinion and game monetizationPosted in: General DiscussionI’m a shaman fanatic and during Rastakhan Rumble i was unemployed So I couldn’t afford King Rastakhan hero portrait that came with the bundle...
Now i have a job and I’m excited about the possibility of him making it again into the shop! Would prefer if they sell them in gold tho, but ultimately i would pay money if necessary

Amaranthus posted a message on Why are Mage and Rogue so popular?Posted in: General DiscussionAs someone who likes Rogue for the most part, but despises Mage, I can only answer that partially.
What I like about Rogue is that most Rogue cards don't have insane value on their own (Jandice Barov really stands out as an atypical Rogue card in my opinion). It's all about synergy, finding the perfect fit for your deck and playstyle. The "Combo" keyword pretty much sums that up. The class invites you to play around with a lot of different takes on the same core deck. There's no deck that I have tried out more different versions of in the last months than Weapon Rogue. All in on poisons, more minions and more fighting for board, burn damage, stealth synergies, some random stuff with Wand Thiefs, I've tried it all. And all have their pros and cons, none of those decks were strictly better than others, I think. You can really adapt to the meta and experiment. This also very fitting of how I would picture a class with the title "Rogue": Always having a different ace up their sleeves.
I don't like the excessively random Rogue decks like Galakrond and Whirlkick Rogue though. I can't stand reading the words "generated by" more than like five times in a single game. Some randomness is cool to spice things up, but at some point it just turns into a clown fiesta. For the same reason I hate Mage and Priest.

Does this include bundles?

With the Core set, Classic packs are probably only of interest to a small cohort of collectors and newer players interested in playing Classic.

I could be wrong, but I get the impression that HS has been moving in a cartoonish direction for a while. Could be to appeal to a specific market?
3
Mainly because most ladder deck lists are very predictable. Generation isn't.

Card generation upsets a lot of players, but also allows for more game variety and situational play.
Possible fix: Why not make generated cards known to both players?
The player generating cards can still respond flexibly to the game state, but her or his opponent will have a much better idea of what to expect and can plan and play accordingly.

Completing your dailies and weeklies should be more than enough to get you there easily.

The two posts are much weaker.

GMs at the weekend. Balance changes coming next week.

Playing, or not playing, Mage has nothing to do with one's integrity 🙄

Deck of Lunacy is fun, but is completely overrunning the meta when it was essentially meant as a crazy, meme card.
How about the following change?
Transform *some* spells in your deck into ones that cost (3) more. (They keep their original Cost.)
The card would then transform between 1 and all spells in your deck.
Think this actually strengthens its flavour while weakening its effect without killing it.
