Are you going to be playing Wild or Standard? Some constructed players also like Duels, so maybe give that a try.
Finish your dailies, weeklies and grind the Rewards Track. There are a few free cards on it and the rewards are significantly improved over those you'd have got during the K&C era.
Consider purchasing the last miniset and the one likely to be released next month. They are hard to beat for 2k gold each. Each miniset to date has consisted of 66 cards, including 4 legendaries and 2 epics.
Personally, I'd probably wait to pick up the Mega Bundle for the next expansion ($80). You could purchase the Tavern Pass ($20), but it might be a bit late. Again maybe worth waiting until the next one in April.
Oh, and get a heroic Duels run to two losses before the reset later today. That'll net you a Tavern Ticket and a pack at the very least. More if you do well!
Regis Killbin is good for Duels. Kibler is one YouTuber, around during K&C, who is still playing Standard. It shouldn't be too hard to find someone doing Battlegrounds. It's the most popular game mode now.
Purchased (with gold) and opened 101 packs plus a few rewards track packs this evening. Unpacked 6 legendaries in the first 50 packs and another 2 in the second 51 packs, including a golden Saidan the Scarlet towards the end.
Pack openings have been good to me this expansion! I've opened 195 packs in total and only need another 3 epics and 6 legendaries to complete the set. Only crafted one epic for a Priest deck and the Barren's Varden for Big Spell Mage.
Seems like there is an attempt to make control more viable in FiAV, but the devs have indicated that the future of control is control with a win condition (other than fatigue). Guess that's things like big threats, the Priest Questline, etc. 🤷♀️
Duplicate protection also applies to cards that you'd have in your collection and subsequently disenchanted. You can't open any of these until you've collected all cards of their rarity.
For epics, rares and commons, one golden card and one regular card will be duplicate protected until you have two of each for the rarity and then they will start filling in the remaining regulars. I find this most relevant for epics.
A few of the quests could be balanced better, but some pretty much never see play. On the whole, I don't think quests are too much of a problem. Let's see what the situation is a week or two after the launch of FiAV.
Personally, I'd rather see card draw toned down (which makes it too easy to assemble combo pieces, find the cards you need, draw through your deck, etc. - making decks hyperefficient and very reliable as well as too many games feel exactly the same) and, to a lesser extent, mana cheating.

Enjoying it. Have played Xyrella Big Priest, Giant Token DH, Cariel Handbuff Pally and Big Spell Mage so far. More to come!

A few wildly speculative ideas off the top of my head: Frost Shaman, Aggro Druid, Humongous Owl OTK Warlock, Big Spell Mage and Handbuff Pali.

When is it available? From tomorrow?

That's correct.

How many children can afford (or want) to play Hearthstone? I'd guess that the game's main demographic is young to middle-aged men 🤷♀️
