greeeat another hunter meta, it's so fun playing against hunter!!

he never runs out of steam WHILE hitting your face for 5 dmg every turn... and that apllies to all viable hunter decks

apart from that you have that fucking cancer tolken druid.. you can clear the board 5 times in a row, the next turn he got a full board again... so fucking annoying

This is what’s wrong with society. Everyone wants instant gratification and stuff handed to them , And once they’ve conditioned themselves to expect it, they’re outraged when they don’t get what they think they deserve. 🤔

     poor blizzard indeed..

imo whats wrong with society is that a handful of people have all the money and a lot of poor people think thats ok and defend it ^^

This game is such an utter fucking joke, I just played a game against a Spell Hunter with my Even Warlock deck, and I would've won the game easily on fatigue, were it not that my opponent LITERALLY got 10 CONSECUTIVE lifesteal + rush/charge minions from his Deathstalker Rexxar hero power. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?! This is truly insane, and I've never played a game with this bad RNG EVER BEFORE. Truly makes me want to quit this game and never look back. Zul'jin is way overpowered too btw. How did no one at Team 5 think to themselves: Oh, this card might be a little OP? It literally trumps every other DK/hero card in my opinion, and you get rewarded regardless if you played bad or not. I nearly play flawless and I often see my Hunter opponents make mistakes, but when they just slam Zul'jin on the board (after playing some random spells turns 1-9) they win the game 99% of the time. There is not a single other DK/hero card that has that same game shifting potential, and it's properly embarrassing that it got the go ahead for this expansion. I feel gross and disgusted by this game, and don't recognize the fun (but sometimes frustrating) game it used to be anymore. Sure, it wasn't ever perfect, but it used to be way more fun and rewarding if you played well, but now you just get screwed over by literally OP cards and there's virtually nothing to counter them with (Prince Keleseth, Zul'jin, Shudderwock (although hard to pull off)), and there's so much combo's/OTK's nowadays that are so hard to play around (Maly Druid, OTK/DK Paladin, Freeze Mage etc.), can you honestly say you still enjoy this game? For me personally, I can not. RNG is horrible too most of the time, and even if you win a game, you feel like you were pretty lucky most of the time, it barely ever feels like you won because you "outskilled" your opponent. Reading this, I might actually just quit altogether. Sure there might not be that much fun games to play at the moment, but nearly every other game out there is more rewarding of your time/investment/energy and money than this pile of shit.

yeah mate, i think the same.. in constructed, it feels that you win by pure luck because of these insanely stupid broken cards.. you have to be lucky that your opponent don't pull them early enough AND you have to be lucky to play on your perfect, optimized curve (or pull your overpowered card before him).. thats pretty fucking boring and lame... that's why I like arena better... despite having also a lot of RNG, it feels that you have more opportunities to outsmart the other player

yes those infinite hunters are making standar unbearably boring to play... putting some tech cards weakens your deck agains anything other than hunter and most people dont have sparing dust to craft any specific counter deck for current op ones...

dk rexar is so annoyingly overpowered though.. not the topic but i fucking hate dk jaina also.. when kft and knc rotate out i guess the game will be much more fun

I get that Blizzard has taken the strategy and thinking out of the game to attract new players and keep them playing. It's a business and I get it. However they don't have to make every game so completely one sided. Either I or my opponent draws perfectly on curve while the other watches with a useless hand. Play the cards on curve, empty your hand, top deck the game winner.

Remember in the movie the Color of Money when Tom Cruise was explaining how the art was in making it look close? Blizzard could learn something from that. Every game doesn't have to be a complete one sided beat down. Make it interesting for Christ's sake.

totally agree with you, that makes standard so boring... and they pushed the meta so that competitive decks are infinite value generator (cards like Hagatha, dk jaina, dr boom, top tier hunter decks that every turn manage to generate value and hit your face and clear your minions like wtf...) and that, also is preeetty boring rng dependent and kills other decks that eventually leave you empty handed

Just posted it on the salty thread but decided to bring here because I want to know your oppinion on that.

Dont you think that a banning system could work in hearthstone and would solve most of our problems? It shouldnt be that complicated, i thought something like for each class you can, by default, ban, let's say, one legendary card and one epic (or just one legendary would be good enough i guess). And, on the other hand, for each of your decks, you could have an extra card in case one of your cards is banned.

That would allow sooo much more variability in the ladder... Like, just being able do ban Deathstalker Rexxar... Frost Lich Jaina... Kingsbane... Malfurion the Pestilent.....just a sigle card that ruins a fucking match and wins the game to who pull it ... people would actually have to think when building a deck, instead of netdecking and doing the same boring strategy over and over

dont you guys think that something like this could be feasible? i think it would be amazing..

On a general level all tools punishing lame netdeckers is more than welcome.

That said... What extra card would you consider replacing your, say, Kingsbane? Or MechaThun, or Undatakah, or Hadronox? Just curious.

yes in those cases, as i said earlier, that would not be possible, it would have to be sorted out (like some cards being unbannable? idk) otherwise this specific banning method indeed wouldnt work

    @OP

I want to ban Baku the Mooneater boom, half of the game gone.

Idea is not bad but for a completely new game mode, I would love them to ban 1 legendary and 1/2 epics for each class and some of neutral ones and change it weekly. Each week new decks - at least on paper. Still, I don't believe that it will happen.

Personally I say 'why stop at 1 legendary' or one class?  We have 14 sets at this point.  I think we're ready for a "heavy rotation mode!"  Separate from ranked, of course.

Dump all of the sets in a pot.  Select 5 at random.  For added flavor, include the Classic set into the pot and give it an enhanced (though not guaranteed) chance of showing up.  Do this every month. For example (runs to random.org)

This month will be: Old Gods, Frozen Throne, League of Adventures, One Night in Karazan, and The Boomsday Project

Make a deck out of THAT!

this rotation mode is a very cool idea... guess blizzard would never do such a thing because it means less $$$ for them

posted a message on Could a Ban System work and solve all our problems?

the thing is that most people just get the cards playing for free.... which means that for us to have a nice variety of viable decks we have to spend a looot of time to craft the required legendaries either by crafting or being lucky enough to get the few you want from a pack (I dont know the statistics, but they seem pretty low) ..

or we end up with a lot of cool variety of legendaries that will never be viable so we never play them and I think that sucks..

so playing constructed ladder leaves the avarage poor player the possibility of only using a few decks, wich is pretty boring...

guess in the end its better for blizzard for forcing ppl to pay $$$, thats always the point

ok, im convinced its not the best idea...

the other thing I wanted to know is: are you ok with the fact that the meta usually allows no more than, like 10 decks to be viable on the ladder?

if not, con you think of a way it could be improve?

for us cheap working class dudes, getting legendary cards takes so long, and when we get most of them they're useless because not viable, that makes me sad =( ... its boring only being able to climb with one single deck

the point of this thread is to raise a discussion on how to improve the game we spend so much time on... most people here didnt bother to read the fucking post and assumed that I was talking about banning classes...

i was just talking about banning ONE card for each class, AND at no point I said that this is a perfect solution that would fix the game entirely, its just an idea, and I wanted to know if the other players have any other idea or are perfectly fine with the game as it is, in which a handful of OP decks are the only viable options in ladder
