    Lore:

Mam'toth was the Drakkari loa of mammoths. When he learnt of his worshipers' plans to sacrifice him to steal his power, he destroyed himself, his temple and all worshipers present, resulting in Mam'toth Crater.

Lorewalker Cho Boss' ability. Once your board is empty, spell wears off. Opens up a lot of late game options especially against opponents who want to ignore the board and just go face. Would also be very powerful in a fatigue priest. Unusual, hard to clear cards like Splitting Festeroot could finally see a daylight.

posted a message on Ben Brode Leaves Blizzard Entertainment

Ben Brode is the figurehead of Hearthstone. The way he managed to cheer up the community is remarkable. Although this is so sad news to hear, I am thankful for what he did to Hearthstone through the years and hope him all the best with his future company!

It works as intended. Lifesteal means the damage minion deals, heals the hero for that amount. When you damage the hydra, it deals damage to the hero meaning it also lifesteals for the same amount.

Offers a powerful tool to manipulate the card draw if you want to draw your Ocean Depths or not and forces the opponent to adapt into the situation as well.

Hydross the Unstable is the first boss of Serpentshrine Caverns in Coilfang Reservoir. He is forced to guard and is being held prisoner by Lady Vashj. He is kept in check by the two beams in his prison. If he leaves them, he becomes poisoned, causing him great pain.

posted a message on Your experience with Hallows End Arena

Went 12-2 with Paladin-Priest. The combination of paladin's board presence + priest's removals is ridiculously powerful in arena. In addition digging up an extra Spikeridged Steed with Shadow Visions is just plain unfair. Had also Archbishop Benedictus in the deck and got some crazy combos by being 4 classes at once.

I don't know anything about Warcraft lore, but isn't this fella a beast? Looks like a mantis to me.

These fellas belong to the nerubian race and are half-spider and half-humanoids. In WoW they are tagged as undeads. Other Nerubian cards in HS don't have the beast tag either. :)

    posted a message on Trump's Un'Goro Theorycraft - Handlock

This is my current favourite deck! Doing wonders with it. I swapped Elise the Trailblazer off for Twisting Nether and I think it works far better. Twisting Nether comboes extremely well with Doomsayer and Lord Jaraxxus. I found Elise became a dead card too often and sometimes drawing the Un'goro pack was more harmful than useful.

The Storm Guardian is shown in the Facebook post. It is a legit 5 mana 10/10 with Taunt.

posted a message on New Warlock Card - Abyssal Enforcer

The main issue for a control warlock has been how the aoe spells tend to either remove your own minions as well or cost so much you cannot play any minions the same turn with the spell. This fella is basically a 3 mana 6/6 tied to a Hellfire spell. Very good, likely to replace Twisting Nether and/or even Shadowflame for control warlock. Extremely strong card in arena as well and the fact it's a common minion means you are very likely to get them in your draft. I like it!

posted a message on Handlock, the most epic deck ever created in hearthstone

As a player who reached 500 ranked wins and got first time to the legend using a handlock deck, I feel part of Hearthstone died for me with the Molten Giant nerf. I remember my final rank 1 battle against a control warrior which went all the way to the fatigue and to the point where every single decision and health point mattered and it just felt like the most epic matchup I've ever had.

When I started playing Hearthstone, control warrior, handlock and freeze mage were the 3 archtypes I loved the most due to their epic nature and difference to the common mindless minion decks. I hoped as Hearthstone evolved, that more epic decktypes like this would rise up and the aggressive, curvebased gamestyle would slowly lose its popularity. I remember Blizz devs commenting they want to see games ending with big, epic minions destroying each others, which was exactly what happened in Handlock vs Control warrior games, so I was hopeful this would be the path Hearthstone is evolving into.

Instead with Standard coming out, several unreplacable control cards rotating out (compare this to aggro minions that are always replacable with almost identical ones) and Blizzard's policy of nerfing control cards the most, it seems the epic control games are doomed to be gone. Molten Giant was one of the most interesting cards in the game, because it broke the rule of just damaging enemy hero as much as possible and making the game linear from 30 health to 0 race. But according to Blizzard, this was something that they didn't want to. They didn't want that players would have to be careful with the damage they deliver or consider the possible swing turns. In addition they gave out the excuse that with the nerf to the FoN + SR combo and Arcane Golem, they think that dropping and staying on 5 health is now more safe and therefore playing Molten Giants could still be possible. Heck, I can no longer feel safe even around 18 health, because the game has become such a rushfest without proper comebacks.

I don't think that Handlock had done so well in the current meta due to the lack of healing, but I'm deeply upset that Blizzard had to destroy the entire archtype with an overkill nerf. In my opinion Handlock decktype added more diversity into the whole game by making health a resource that both players had to pay attention to. Now the game has just become a linear health race and the notorious warlock Gul'dan, who used to sacrifice his health to summon an army of mighty demons and massive giants has downed into a circus clown who just pukes in knife jugglers, animals, cursed tableware and whatever. Sad times. :/
