The fatigue decks beg to differ, they're doing nothing wrong, it's just a playstyle that some prefer. -

zorthander posted a message on New player - What classes to levelPosted in: General Deck BuildingHi,
your question is way broad, but I'll try to help you as much as I can before my post gets boring/too long.
Welcome to HS.
Whatever it might seems, there is actually less trolling in HS than in other games, enjoy the game :)
Play whatever gives you fun.
This is the short advice, though the long version is a bit more complicated. There are a few classes that are easier to manage, and every now and then appears a new deck that makes a class viable (many people say "OP", OP is just a devaluated word in HS forums...).
You can use one of these. But many times these decks don't fit your playstyle: they are too aggro, or too controllish (when you feel more like playing control, or aggro, in the other case).
As I see it, having fun with HS comes down to 2 factors that contribute: playing a deck you like to play, and not getting rekt all the time because your deck isn't well constructed. Try to find a balance between a playstyle you enjoy and a deck that grants you a win from time to time haha.
The above should help you focus the "what class may i play". HS is not WoW neither Diablo. You don't choose a class and stick to it for the centuries to come. You always have 2-3 decks you can use, with similar or different strategies, so you can adapt to the meta-game (an amazing concept I hope you already lernt about in these two weeks of playing).
Beginners deck suggestion?
Tirion is such an Amazing card. You will surely enjoy it in the time to come. But decks that play Tirion usually play a few other legendaries (say,Dr. Boom and Loatheb that you already got in Naxxramas). You can "modify" that decks to fit into your collection, but It take a bit of knowledge about the game and what exactly makes a card valuable (it may be the stats, the deathrattle, battlecry, etc.) to find a reasonable substitution within your collection.
For beginners, many people will recommend use Warlock (search for "Zoo"-like decks) or Hunter (more "Face" decks if you don't have Savannah Highmanes, more "MIdrange" if you have them). But there is budget decks for almost everyclass. The quoted words in this paragraph stand for deck archetipes you should read about.
General Advice
Seriously, play whatever deck gives you fun. If pLaying a deck with a couple really amazing legendaries provide fun moments for you, go for it. If you like short, fast and furious games, make a build that is consistent with what you like. If you feel more like a chessman all into the strategy of long, fully detailed games with tons of options you need to master in order to win, then go for "control decks".
Ah, and for sure: never give up. It may seem hard at moments. Sometimes you will face "expensive" decks with 6-7 legendaries and another 5-6 epic cards. Maybe you feel it like a disadvantage. There is always a deck and a playstyle to win those games. There is always a strategy to defeat, it just may not be what you were using. Adapt and go for it again :) If you find them a lot and your deck is struggling, maybe you need to switch class for a couple of days, test how lucky the change went, or maybe just tech-ing a card into your deck to use against a specific match up is enough.
I think my post already got boring. Stopping for now, feel free to ask for details :)

Arathen342 posted a message on Top 1 SilverName`s control warrior 20/10/2015Posted in: Top 1 SilverName`s control warrior 20/10/2015Hi Tailinus, I am not OP but I have some insight as to why Emperor Thaurissan and shieldblock are in this deck. When piloting this deck, you are looking to play more of tempo game than the normal control and win off fatigue game plan. With emperor and the extra draw (block, Harrison Jones, and Acoloyte of Pains) you should be able to build up a hand faster and discount it, enabling you to compete with decks like Druid.
With the extra draw and Emperor, this deck can adapt its play style depending on what you are playing against, Clearly these changes hurt the control warrior mirror, but it also improves a lot more match ups than it hurts.
PS. to pilot this deck vs control warrior you want to pick 1 of 2 game plans early into the game. 1 - Draw a lot of cards, and attempt to run your opponent out of answers and finish the game before fatigue (not recommended) or, 2 - Play for fatigue. To do this avoid drawing cards unless you have to find something to avoid losing (EG. need removal for threat). You main ways of doing this are throwing acolytes away to brawls, playing harrison without getting a weapon, and not casting shieldblock.

Tailinus posted a message on Top 1 SilverName`s control warrior 20/10/2015Posted in: Top 1 SilverName`s control warrior 20/10/2015I'm against Emperor Thaurissan on a slow deck like this. There's almost zero benefit from reducing the cost of your cards (unlike on Handlock where getting a 8 mana Lord Jaraxxus is awesome), because you are aiming for the looooong game, probably going into fatigue. I'd even put Hogger before Thaurissan any day, because Hogger can win the game by himself.
EDIT: Shield Block is also a meh card because it harms you in the fatigue wars. A second Bash would be my pick for the 3 mana spot.

DireDoge posted a message on Top 1 SilverName`s control warrior 20/10/2015Posted in: Top 1 SilverName`s control warrior 20/10/2015This deck sadly is MUCH weaker even without one of legendaries(especially Grom and Geddon), or Brawl for that matter. So you might want to spend your dust crafting another cheaper deck than this one.

I think we're all aware that LoE has introduced a number of bugs lately. I'm not 100% certain this is, however. So I'm looking for some input.
Things basically went down like this:
I'm playing the LoE Druid class challenge.
-I Mulch a minion. (The AI gets Master of Ceremonies)
-I later play Jungle Moonkin for some spell damage action.
-The AI plays Master of Ceremonies and receives the +2/+2 buff.
Obviously, the AI did not "have a minion with spell damage"... I did.
Do you think that might be intended, though?
Personally, If you ask me, it's not a bug... it's a case of lazy programming.
(The Hero most likely has a spell damage variable (x) and the programmers checked if x > 0 rather than checking whether each minion on the board has spell damage or not in order to save time/operations.)

I dunno... It looks to me just like the same curve as a midrange hunter. Almost identical, actually? They just traded the secret/beast synergy out for buffs synergy. Seems fair to me...
That said, I think secrets and beasts are probably a bit better.

Hmm... I would probably drop Majordomo. He's not great-- and you need a huge amount of stalling power Priest doesn't really have to make him work.
I would probably do a few other things. Overall, I think you have a good idea of what works, but it looks like you might have a few too many card that cost 5 or more and might want more early game. I'm assuming since you have Kel'Thuzad you have all of the Naxx expansion. (I'll show my suggestions like this: old card --> new card)
Ironfur Grizzly --> Sen'jin Shieldmasta
Novice Engineer --> Power Word: Shield
Silence (or Ironbeak Owl) --> Zombie Chow
Mind Vision --> Zombie Chow
Resurrect --> Power Word: Death
Majordomo --> Shattered Sun Cleric?
You might also want a couple more 2-drop minions to replace a few higher costed cards.
I'd also consider running Sludge Belcher instead of Fuegen and Stalagg, too.
Early game cards are really important! They'll help you not get run over so that you can play your big guys! Obviously, it's all up to you on whatever you like to play, though!

Haha I gotta agree with Flood-- pretty much spot on for me.
We're a bit off topic and also talking up our bums about statistics a bit incorrectly since what matters from the shredder isn't the possible good/bad outlier results, but the average or expected result... I mean... right? And if we add both bad and good/average cards to the card pool, we don't expect the average to shift far from where it stands now, we only expect at worst higher variance/deviation.
Regardless: I'm still interested in 3-drops in relation to Shredder and in particular Scarlet Crusader. Haha
1
Hmm... you think Hunter would be good against it? Haunted Creeper is obviously a nightmare for it and some lucky knife juggles with Unleash the Hounds could be a problem, but otherwise it would usually go 2-for-1 still, wouldn't it? I would've thought Druid would be good against it considering its hero power and cards like Swipe or even Wrath for card draw.
I am mostly thinking of cheap free-to-play decks or perhaps Shaman (since it kind of lacks in 3-drops minus mech synergy) and Zoolock-- although that's pretty retro now. Maybe even aggro Paladin, although it's probably too slow compared to Wolf rider.
2
I think it's no surprise to anyone that Piloted Shredder is one of the most, if not the most, popular 4-drop. And it's pretty difficult to remove... so I got to thinking. What 3-drop minions can actually beat a Shredder by themselves (without being combo'd with other cards, like perhaps Blackwing Technician)? And especially proactively?
I'd be interested to hear what people think about Scarlet Crusader in this case. It is weak to some pretty obnoxious things like hero powers or Flamewaker, but uncontested it trades evenly with Shredder without any help (as long as the Shredder doesn't drop minions with 4 health or cards like Shielded Minibot and Haunted Creeper)
Would that be enough to make Crusader a viable card? I think at least for players without lots of cards, it could. The only other 3-drop I can think of off hand that can beat a Shredder by itself is Aldor Peacekeeper... but you wouldn't play that on curve like I'm thinking about anyway.

I can respect that. I will say, it still seems a bit dishonest, though.

For the record... the picture provided is not of this deck. In the picture, there is a Webspinner in hand, which is obviously not in the deck.
So... fake picture... fake legend deck? Of course, that's just speculation.

This is one of the most beautiful and potentially offensively themed decks I have ever seen.
