It may be better than Gang Up in most cases, but remember that it can be cast on enemy minions, whereas the new card cannot. Therefore it's not exactly power creep.

Not effectively. You could, in theory, Lotus Agents into Shadowcaster to get another copy of grumbles, but of course you can't rely on it at all. You can also use Servant of Kalimos to get another grumble, but there's no way to guarantee it either. Unless you can find a way to get two grumbles in your hand, or at least a way to send a copy (not just returning it) to your hand, then I don't think there is any other good way to do it.

Yeah, time to change the decklist...

EDIT: Done. The decklist is certainly not set in stone, it probably sucks in its current form. I'm not a deckbuilding master, so feel free to offer suggestions on changes.

EDIT 2: I now realize that Murmuring elementals allow you to remove brewmasters from your deck completely. This allows you to maintain elemental synergy while removing some inconsistency.

Blah blah balance. I don't care, I just created this to showcase the idea.

To clarify: 1 turn = both you and your opponent hitting the "End Turn" button once each. Yes yes I know, Micro Machine, sorry. When the battlecry activates, you get to choose how many turns you want to travel back in time. After the time travel, the game continues with your turn X turns ago depending on which option you chose. Chromie is removed from the game after the time travel because an infinite time loop is not fun for your opponent, I suppose.

If you're not getting the point of this, think of it this way: you play this if you want to go "back in time" and redo some of your decisions. You know what your opponent will play (of course they can choose to play differently this time, but now you know what they have), you know what you will draw, and any RNG can be rerolled (except for draws). Redoing some decisions based on what you know from the past few turns can have a huge impact on the game.

Constructive criticism, not destructive criticism, is appreciated and welcomed.

    1 Turn

    2 Turns

    3 Turns

This guys submission on page 9 is great but no love. am I missing something? seems pretty balanced and creates an interesting dilemma for your opponent.

For one, it should be 'if your opponent is not', not 'your opponent are not', and 'put three coins into your hand', not 'put three coins to your hand'. Unless the card itself is really good design wise (this card isn't 'really good'), any card with grammatical errors isn't going to get much votes.

I believe that what you meant to say was, "any card with grammatical errors isn't going to get many votes." I'm sorry, I felt the need to point out the irony in your statement.
For the sake of relevance, I believe the card is fairly interesting, but it certainly does not seem to be very powerful.

I'm posting this again because it seems to have been ignored, and I have not got a response back yet. There are a few small changes I want to make to my card. I've read the competition rules, and it says that minor changes ARE allowed as long as they do not change the "spirit" of the card. I believe that the changes I want to make do not change the "spirit" of the card, but I cannot be sure and I do not want to get disqualified.

Here's what my original submission looks like:

    Hearthpwn Card Design Competition 4.07

and here's what I want to change it to:

    Hearthpwn Card Design Competition 4.07

I'm just wondering if this change is allowed or not. A response would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Am I allowed to change my submission from this

    Hearthpwn Card Design Competition 4.07

    to this?

    Hearthpwn Card Design Competition 4.07

I fixed a typo and altered the text slightly, but its basically the same card. I'm just wondering if I am allowed to make the change, or if the change would cause my submission to be disqualified.

A minion with infinite value like Dreadsteed, though you'll have to use it a lot to get actual value out of it. To clarify, its stats will continuously increase, so it does not get stuck as a 2/2 minion every time it dies. The only thing I wish I could change is making the text a lot shorter...

posted a message on First Mage pick: Nefarian, Justicar, Feugen.

On HearthArena, Nefarian beats Feugen by 5 points. It really depends on your deck, but because it's your first pick, just go by the tier list and try to choose cards that could potentially synergize with other cards in your deck. This means that picking Blackwing Corruptor or Twilight Guardian could be good from now on. Good luck on your run.

The hero gains 1 attack, not the weapon. Big difference. No matter how many times you swap, it will always be a flat 9 damage from the weapon.

I just tried doomhammer + rockbiter and the attack change didnt display on the weapon, it only displayed on the hero. So, you are correct, thanks for pointing that out!

My first Idea: I feel this fits well into druid thematically, but I'm wondering if it's interesting enough.

As much as I like this idea, I just realized that it is fatally flawed as a Druid card. Because inspire triggers AFTER hero powers, this is a weapon with infinite durability as long as you use your hero power. It's a little complicated, but just think about it. You gain +1 attack, then the inspire triggers, thus gaining a durability. Then you attack, using the same durability that you just gained, and thus the weapon reverts to its original 3/3 statline. I suggest making it a card for a different class, or increase the mana cost due to its potential infinite value.

This is a VERY cool idea. I looked for it in the submission topic, but I didn't see it. Try to submit it ASAP so that I can upvote it!
If by some chance I missed it, would you mind telling me what page it is on?

    Hearthpwn Card Design Competition 4.05

Combo: Holy Harbinger + Holy Harbinger + Kobold Geomancer x 2 + Bloodmage ThalnosMindblast = 32 damage. I'm sure there are other ways of doing this, but this was the only one that I could think of that only requires one spell. Emperor Thaurissan needs to hit 4 of the 6 combo cards in order to lower the cost of the combo to 10.

I designed this card more to be a cool priest card than to make it into an OTK card. Prophet Velen's effect is so cool, so why not put into a smaller card with more limited, but more flexible, power? Remember, it only applies to the NEXT spell or hero power played, so you can't double mind blast or double flash heal. Also, it only applies to THIS turn, meaning that you can't set up a guaranteed two-turn lethal. It's a 3/4 minion because it can be good in the late game when combined with powerful spells, and it can be good in the early game to curve out with a nice 3/4 body if you really need it.

I didn't want to make it 2 mana because it would make the combo too easy to pull off, and I didn't want to make it 4 mana because it would make the combo too hard to pull off, and priest already has decent 4 drops.

I believe that The Curator is good for the same reason the OLD Ancient of Lore WAS good.

First of all, they both cost 7 mana. Then, they both draw you cards. Although the curator cannot draw you spells or some specific cards you might need, you can always put in certain cards so that you know what you will be drawing. Additionally, hunters are not the best at drawing cards, so drawing three cards from one card is a pretty big deal. Second of all, the curator has taunt, which is a pseudo-heal to your own face against aggro decks. Because it has six health, its kind of like healing yourself for 6 (admittedly, it certainly isn't the same in many situations). Finally, the stats. Arguably, a 4/6 minion is more valuable than a 5/5 minion because it is better at trading. So, in comparison with the OLD ancient of lore, the curator can pseudo-heal for six, trade very well against small and some midrange minions, and draw you three cards of your choice (depending on how you build the deck), whereas the old ancient of lore can heal for 5 OR draw you two cards as well as trading (not as well) against small and midrange minions.

Now, admittedly, the old ancient of lore was also good in druid because it acted as a body for Savage Roar, and it helped draw the cards for FoN + SR faster. But this is irrelevant because drawing three cards from a 4/6 body with taunt is extremely valuable in and of itself.

"But", I hear you saying, "The deck doesn't even have a murloc for the curator to draw you three cards! Plus, even if it did have a murloc, it wont even always draw you three cards because you might have drawn your beasts and dragons already." Fair point. You can always exchange some cards for Sir Finley Mrrgglton or Coldlight Oracle if you think they could be useful. There are about 8 beasts and 2 dragons in the deck. It is unlikely that you will draw all of them by the time you get the curator, and even if you draw both of the dragons, even drawing ONE card can be very useful, although it wont get its full value out of 7 mana.

There you have it. If you really consider it, The Curator has the potential to be a very good card in this deck. But, who knows, I could be wrong. The deck needs to be tested to truly gauge how good the card is in this deck.

How to get better at Hearthstone:

A good way to get better is to watch Hearthstone pros play. Find a video of a pro (Trump, Thijs, Firebat, for example) playing a game, and understand what deck they are playing (you can do arena streamers too, such as Kripparrian). In the mulligan phase, pause the video, then say in your mind how you would mulligan. Then unpause and see what the streamer does, and hopefully there will be an explanation for the mulligan. At the start of every turn, after the card draw, pause the video and say in your mind what play you would make that turn. Then unpause and see what the pro does, and hopefully there will be an explanation. Do this for the rest of the game, and repeat the process on more and more games and on more and more videos. Hopefully, after you do this a bunch, you will be able to predict pretty close to the exact play that the streamer would make. Hope this helps!
