I too believe this and/or the Pixie will make Baku Q Warrior a thing!

With Baku granting access to speedy armor gain Reckless Flurry becomes really good and Brawl is always a decent clear too. That's 4 effective clears + all the taunts you'll be running + the usual armor tools like shield blocks, now with added Baku powder. It should keep you going until late game where now you have the tools to seriously blast your opponents face!

    Excellent!

I came up with a solid nerf imo. How would you feel if Gold'Man had this battlecry: Discover a friendly Demon that died this game. Summon that Demon and add a copy of it into your hand.

Still good, but significantly less powerful!

I've been feeling the exact same thing, which I wouldn't even mind normally as a less overpowered standard wouldn't be a bad thing - no more jades, drakkonids, evolve and devolve, damage to the dude paladin and murloc decks losing SAD and vilefin, kingsbane losing coldlight, Barnes, etc etc. Except without some ridiculous cards for one of the classes, what will keep warlock in check? Their only significant loss is n'zoth (and maybe mistress but I think that can be replaced).

Now that I've started to dream big and hope Blizzard is actually going to fight the power creep in the Year of the Raven, I'd wish to see a handful of nerfs soon. Warlock needs to take a few hits in order to create a better meta! :)

The bravest thing Blizzard can do is to start decreasing the power levels gradually because it's just frankly not that exciting to face turn 4 Barnes Yshaarjs etc., because it makes other sort-of-viable-looking-decks just lack luster when trying to ladder with them. Of course some decks are a tad better than others, that is pretty much the consequence of millions of players playing the game every second of the day and tuning their decks and testing stuff, then submitting them online. And nothing wrong with that though, but if the gaps between tiers can be narrowed significantly we will enter a much more versatile and fun environment. I want people to be able to play the cards they love! And not getting crushed by turn six Void Lord(from lackey/weapon) + Cube + Pact shenanigans.

Lets make Hearthstone great again! :)

Sorry to derail the topic, but let me just say I have an educated guess that Valve's Artifact is going to be something really awesome for anyone who wants some crunch in their cereals!

The game has just started to leak more information and is in a closed beta stage, propably/hopefully opening up to open beta in the coming weeks/months.

I haven't dipped my toes into Eternal yet and propably won't cause I'm just waiting for that Artfact-boi to launch and play HS until that!

I have a legit question, I don't have too much sense in this whole thing so I just want to get a real answer.

I have understood based on other threads that when a player auto-concedes gazillion times in a row, they will be matched against the entry level players with close to zero collections. Is this just a false statement or true? :O

Like if that claim is true, then it is 100% fact that some kind of rigging is done. After that it is just a question of how much. So please, I'd like to hear some opinions on my question, thanks :)

     Up!
This is an important question, and I want answers god dammit! :P

Hey! I really love Big Spell Mage too, here is my version:

    BIGSPELL MAGE
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (16) Ability (13) Playable Hero (1)
    Loading Collection

I am missing Alexstrasza, Medivh and Zola but I am using cheaper minions like the Beetle and some taunts. Stonehill Defender is not so good some times but it gives you enough time to prepare a board clear. The inclusion of Flammecaller is working amazing against Palladin and Sindragosa gives you fuel for the late game.

I have been running Alanna and wins you some matches although many others is just a locked up 9 minion in your hand. The match up that I enjoy the most is against Warlock hands down because you have a little advantage with the Polymorphs and the silence but you need to reserve resources cause usually it lasts until critical fatigue.

    Any feedback is really appreciated.

Your list indeed löooks solid and more like a "tradiotional" Big Mage with many tech choices in there. I have had tough time succeeding with it as well as I'd like to, so I'm messing around with the current version for now.
Twilight Flamecaller is indeed a funny option to mess with the dudedins! :) If you have the acces to 2 Doomsayers I would definately put them both in. I never regret seeing them, even in control match ups. There is always some good usage for them :)

The Pyroblasts indeed are the controversial part of the deck and the biggest thing to separate this deck from the others atm. If we look at it from the fatigue orianted Big Mage perspective, then for sure two Pyrobalsts are nonsensical but for me they are almost THE win condition for this deck. We have all the means to control the board to a state where it is possible to spend even two consecutive turns blasting your opponents face for 20dmg. When the little minions have putten in some chip dmg during the game, that is often times lethal right there.

I deterr from decks usually which only have one and only win condition, and this deck does have the means to adapt and go for the fatigue or just crush the opponent with a well timed Alanna/Alex/Medivh.

I am at the beginning of this journey tho as I said in my first post and I might well be coming back here humbled by the world realizing my ideas have yet again sucked! :'( Basically this is just a love story with me and the cards I've grown really fond of: Alanna, Dragon's Fury, Doomsayer, Plated Beetle...

I think Goldlight Oracle works quite well! I have it 2x in my secret hunter deck with 2x Tracking too, and I think drawing/thinning the deck hasn't been that much of a problem. Some might argue that giving your opponent 2 more cards to take care of your threats is a bad thing, and while it most certainly has a reasonable point to it, I find Hunter is still the one benefitting the most because he might draw his Kill Commands etc. to close things up. Not just relying on top decking.

isn't coldlight oracle rotating out or something? or am i mistaken?

Indeed :/ Lets hope for better cards in the new set. Although now would be the last chance to play with them in standard, so do try them out :)

posted a message on My version of Big Mage

Hoy! I love Mage as a class, and it is the only one I have golden + I purchased Medivh as a character. I just don't like playing the hottest hotness, and also aggro is not for me -> secrtet mage is not my first choice. Controlly mages and Big Mage on the other hand are much more fancier, but after Kobold's release I didn't get the Big Mage archtype rolling as well as I wanted to :/ Also Alanna being one of my favorite cards in the whole game, I have been miserable not getting too much succes with it!

Well I got back to the drawing boards and started to craft something a bit different with a recognizable chunk of it being typical Big Mage, but with a twist that separates it from the others. I have only about 10 games played with it but I have been pleased with the results. And the deck has something that very much "speaks to me"! I dig it :)

    So here goes:

    The Apocalypse
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (17) Ability (12) Playable Hero (1)
    Loading Collection

One of the most notable inclusions is Zola the Gorgon. Oh boy do I like this card overall so mad, and it really has some nice synergies in this list as well. Medivh, Alanna, Tar Creeper, Artificer and even Plated Beetles are all cards that are nice to bounce back into your hand. Gluttonus Ooze is a tech choice to deal with Aggro Paladins destroying their weapons and gaining some armor in the mean time. I find this to be the more reasonable choice than the basic Ooze for this deck.

I want to fight against the Ice Block package here, because I feel we can manage without it and I feel it is diluting the decks power level. Also as Ice Block is getting the HoF treatment, I'm startinng to adjust to the life without them. Of course this deck does run the Oracles and Medivh too, so I'm not totally "ahead of my time" here :P

And last but not least are the big boys, the mean machines, the finsishers, the 'burn it alls' THE PYROBLASTS 2X! They are the ones who have singlehandedly won me the games when I've drawn both of them. 20dmg in two consecutive turns is a) MUCH dmg b) unexpected c) frigging cool! I feel that Big Mage doesn't have to go for the fatigue game with Jaina only, when you do have the means to burn the shit out of your opponent!

Final note is that I would love to have Arcane Tyrants in there too, but tricky decisions have been made and the few games played indicate a good start at the least. And I'm feeling the 'art of deckbuilding' here, so I'm playing this bad boy with my chin up high!

Please do try this out and leave a comment. Just don't make it mainstream because then I have to stop playing it :P

I think you are overestimating this game. Dont let some of the people fool you, HS is not a rocket science. It is way too simple game for its own good. It was designed as a casual game (competitive HS my a**). Starting with only three card is a joke. It means that you have to be lucky to win. The simplicity of this game (destroy your opponent's health) seriously limiting design space.

Game was basically designed as RnGstone. Games are won or lost based on your mulligan, first four draws and your opponent class (rock-paper-scissors). When you are a newbie you don't realise most of these things, more you play more you realise  this.

Anyways as long as you dont take this game serious and play it here and there causally you should be alright.

I think your comment belongs in the Salt Thread, so much butthurt in just a few paragraphs. Games are lost and won on mulligan in every card game, that's the nature of card games.

     Such a dangerous comment!
With making games we are limited to only our imagination. When people get stuck on antiquated ideas like putting mana in your starting deck (I hate this mechanism in MtG!) we can't create better games. Take for an example Mage Wars card game in which players start with actual spellbooks (card binders with cool art) with all the cards available to them from the beginning!
Imo a great game needs to have a reasonable way to get back in the game even if your starting hand wasn't exactly what you wanted and the opponent had a great start.

Playing Big Mage against Secret Mage. I'm about to stabilize although I made a huge misplay the previous turn!! (Tried to play Jaina, but missclicked and played Alana instead!)

He gets a Deck of Wonders out of Primordial Glyph and procs it immediately on the following turn casting a Psionic Probe (copy a spell from your opponent's deck and add it to your hand) which of course pulls a Pyroblast for lethal...

Kaladin often screams for a normal gaming experience and I would like to fucking have one too!!

Ps. And the piece of cockdirt ends it with a hearthy "Hello." I would love to give him a manicure. With sharp objects entering beneath his fingernails!
