Well the thing is my version of Big spell mage is, except the "Big spell" part and Jaina, different from most of them out there. Tried fitting Ice Block and my win rate plummeted cause I had to fit the secrete package that ruined my game plan.
Played few version with Pyroblast and it was useful. Either for high roll on Dragons Fury or actually closing the game. Tho cause I played Medivh it was slow, on that I agree. Have few ideas on why it can fit. Either cause high roll Spiteful Summoner or one is to ignore the lack of Firelands Portal and fit value with Servant of Kalimos (which I had in few version to out last Cube/Control locks).
But my current version is Medivh'less and has Bright-Eyed Scout. Few thins are achieved with that. 1. I have a 4 drop 2. What ever I draw is on curve (can back lash), example is playing Frost Lich Jaina on 5 or having a clear board on 10 with Dragons Fury + 5 cost Dragoncaller Alanna. <--best things that can happen. 3. Everything else is fine too, I dont mind having Blizzard on 5 also
Anywho, point is the archetype is not dead, mage is not dead. Before secret mage was cool, everyone dissed me it was bad, turned it was good. Even before this current XPAC it was smooth sailing to Rank 5 when Jades where a thing. It's not mages problem that Blizzard pushes some classes to god like status
Nice man! We share ideas, and you've got even better ones! I sincerely feel that the Ice Block Secret package was a hinderance to the deck, when Arcane Artificers are pumping you up with some great armor and Jaina granting lifesteal.
I hadn't thought of Bright-Eyed Scout, but man I see the potential now that you mention it.
I feel like some of the worst match-ups have been super volatile aggro starts, like paladins, so we must see how viable aggro decks will be flooding the meta, and Big Mage could be a great deck. Of course it's a bummer we didn't get any new shiny big spells, but sometimes you don't have to reinvent the bike I guess.
I will do the Odd Taunt Q Warrior, because I want to see if it is as good as I seriously believe it will be in the upcoming meta!
Then I have a Quest pally deck with Hero Power OTK variant in mind! Q Pally is surprisingly strong in it's current state, and now with just a few added tools I will put it to a test.
Rush Warrior is definately high on the try-list too. And Davaretta mentioned "White Dragon Quest Priest" here which sounds cool af!
My only concern is that this generating legend effect has been tried with mage in the past via Sindragosa with little success. I know there's a difference, but unless we are missing more puzzle pieces, I don't know if this is a card mages can find a home for in their decks unless they go ultra-greedy control.
And Sindragosa still has some beautiful synergy with Jaina. But Toki is just a bad Tempo play.
Really interesting idea and great job hitting legend! Just wondering however is the elemental package really worth it without any class elementals to work off?
Sorry to sound rude here, but that is the one thing that I feel makes this deck unique and I want to aplaud the guy for doing something different! Lets not tell him to swap out a few elemenentals for Imp, Soulfire, Doomguard, eh?
So basically you get the same effect that Twig of the World Tree grants you. And Twig does it a million times safer, although a bit slower. And not a single competetive deck plays the weapon.
I'm the kind of guy who usually loves cards that get hate, but this one seems utterly super shit!
Was it already discussed but would Master Oakheart still pull the originally 1, 2, 3 statted minions from the deck? In this weeks Tavern Brawl it did, right?
I Mean Dragon synergy would get a good buff with Oakheart pulling 5/5 Drakkari Enchanter and 4/4 Dragonhatcher + Crazy Malygos/Ysera/Sleepy Dragons from the deck.
I am glad developers endorse Combo Priest instead of Big and Spiteful cancers.
How does it endorse combo though? You don't need no further combo after this one :P
But seriously this card makes some stupid powerful things! Ysera, Sleepy Dragon, Giant Mastodon and the likes are just bonkers! Even Frigging Doomsayer if you want to run one for control, will take some huge trades if the opponent decides to attack it :D
This is my dream for this card: The card itself definately feels super meh right now, but what we haven't been revealed yet is the guy in the Wanted poster! So basically that dude would be a 11-18 costed super-win-now-sort of combo guy that needs you to hoard all the coins in the world in order to be played.
You 'd get 2 coins from the Wanted! cards, 1 extra with Valeera, 1 if you start the game with coin, 2 if you're Wild with the Counterfeits, and then maybe some with potential echo shenanigans that hasn't been revealed.
I absolutely live for deck building and love trying to come up with stuff that is not mainstream. But I don't find it fun if I lose 70% of the games with those decks. So I try to create an original deck that wins! The more the better!
I don't find it fun to grind with proven decks like Cubelocks or Dude Paladins.

Seriously bad card! People define "fun" differently, but for me randomness is pretty much at the other end of the fun-spectrum.
Conlcusion: a bad and unfun card. And I was starting to think mages will get the bestest cards cause we were left last with the reveals! A sad day :'(

Would be cool idea anyways :)

To me the options collide.
