"They just may not make it into your current deck, or have a place in the current meta."
Well, yeah, that worked only if you don't phase out whole chunks of cards out of the game. It was acceptable to release a shitty card in hopes that maybe in an expansion or two it will work with something. Now, after two expansions it will just vanish into oblivion. How often did you saw Metaltooth Leaper or Wee Spellstopper in constructed? In spring they will be gone from standart and it doesnt even matter that there might be cards that synergise with those in new expansion.
"Paladin secrets were rarely utilized in most Paladin decks"
Whoo boy, they want to wrap Mysterious Challenger in a pretty wrapping paper. Maybe the problem was with a shitty secrets and you should fix the problem instead of making a new OP card? Following this logic, Discard mechanic is rarely utilized in most Warlock decks. Lets instead of Fist and Tiny knight of Evil add a card 6/6 for 6 Battlecry: Deal 9 damage to the enemy hero for every discarded card this game. Does it make discards more appealing? Yes. Is it good design? No.
"From there, it becomes more of a puzzle for the opponent to decide how they are going to deal with the board."
And lets a palladin to continue playing straightforward mindless face game. You know what Mike Donais? fuck you and your MC. Same shit as with Undertaker. When it came out: "Hes fine", year later, after countless pleads and a nerf they admitted it was broken. Now this shit. They didn' learn on their mistakes.
