Interesting idea. may I ask what did you replaced with them? Mana curve of this deck makes the choice pretty difficult. While it can't afford losing any of the key cards.
I'm testing the Zealot instead of one Gnomeferatu atm. Works pretty well for like 20 games now. Extra Divine Shield for the Takers has pretty significant potential, while it can compensate Gnomeferatu's bigger body if buffed by Fungalmancer.
The only alternate card I've tried was Pumpkin Peasant. But his surprising and heal effect was missing in 4 of 10 games. While Zealot clearly won only 1 match. It did not seem as much a Gamechanger as Peasant. Who 100% could've saved 2 of the losses...

imo you can bluff your opponent to think he's facing some Controlock deck instead of Aggro ;)
beside the few pros/cons of these cars cards (it has more body - 2/3 instead of 2/2 wolf + has a random chance to burn some precious card, whereas wolf offers instant dmg)

Argent Squires are not giving you enough value tho. I think Tainted Zealot(s) can be more versatile with Hellfires and Soulfires.

Thijs played some Myracle Rogue.

I would have bought 3 of these if possible. Was worth it imo.

Quote from Deck_Fiend >>I beat him a while ago as Odd Warrior with Giggling Inventor before it was nerfed to oblivion, and other stuff such as Wax Elemental, and weapon removal obviously. I made something like ~20 attemps to beat him.
Razuvious is super hard. 4 years and 13 expansions after, he still cleaves asses in two. I don't know how people managed to beat him back in the day? 2-mana Fiery War Axe maybe? He's nothing compared to Skelesaurus Hex or Lord Slitherspear from LoE though.
probably inner fire combo. it's how I got him. you just have to draw the right cards and you can buff it out of his range and then use inner fire to go face. I think it's probably how it was supposed to be done. you gotta get lucky though and hope he doesn't draw black knight.
i won that one with priest, good taunts and steal effects to get the weapon for me
edit, and healt buffs ovbiously

If doing blackrock and naxx on heroic gave me the cards again I would do it in a second lol, but when rotation came I was Thanos and dusted half XD XD, won't be doing that again (probably).

Naxx easy, adventures are fun plus the cards, don’t craft those legendaries though, even the perceived sucky ones.

He was closer than you on the term for tempo deck though, tempo is not agro at all, it's just faster than control. LoL so really just anything that isn't control then!? :D

as long as Reno is around, control decks are going to be a pain in the arse to deal with.. there might not be as many of them as some of the faster decks, but there are still extremely viable control decks out there right now being played, and I'm sure there will be new stuff with the new adventure.. the cards haven't really been tested enough to know how good they will be.
also. wild is control central.

one that contains N'zoth as it's the coolest golden card IMO!

I like all the decks.. tbh I don't think any of the competitive decks are not fun to play or play against.. most annoying thing in the game is reno to me right now, but I still just try and work out how to crush that deck... I still don't know how to beat a reno player who keeps playing the reno back into their deck though, I mean they can fully heal at any point, without a OTK deck you can't beat that (4 weeks in game at most though so I am still earning how to beat these decks)
I thought that stuff like c'thun warrior was top tier though, it certainly seems strong when I've faced it.. one of the main weaknesses of dragon warrior is a good control deck like renolock and c'thun warrior, so I'm a little lost here really... as far as I knew the top end expensive as hell control decks were the best in the game!?
Again, I'm new so if anyone would like to explain this more how the control decks are lacking, I'd be more than happy to read what you have to say... I'm like a little sponge just wanting to soak up all the hearthstone! :)

I had not realized control was in such a bad place.... it may have a lot to do with how expensive the decks are to build though.. cheaper and faster decks are a lot more economic to play from what I've gathered anyway. Not to mention people probably want to play as many games as possible, I can imagine control vs control taking a very long time... not that this a bad thing in and of itself, but when you're talking about competitive ladder, for me I don't think this meshes... and besides there is wild where you can play anything you want, that's where all the control decks are.
I do think Blizzard may have intended it to be this way, and maybe they are trying to speed up ladder play or something.... it's something to ponder over anyway..
let me know what you guys think.

awesome, rage educing, control botherer... you can be in the gang if you want!? ;)
Speedy-fast, tempo face crew, agro-smoc massive.

and before you get angry.. been playing the game less than a month and this is my first trading card game. from the perspective of a new player, it's impossible to play control, it's too expensive to craft, even when you buy packs it's not something that can be achieved for a while. The only thing like control we have is zoolock, but you guys hate that too. Maybe we would see more control decks at lower ranks if there were some more affordable and competitive options.. as it stands, there are not a lot of competitive options for the newer player.
I understand this is a pretty niche perspective as most have been playing the game for a while, but I often find this is completely overlooked by veteran control players... not everyone can even build those decks, so what else can we do? we have to build what we can to gain a foothold.
I also play technical combo decks as they are not expensive to run, but I play dragon warrior, zoolock, mid hunter.. all the ones people hate.. why? because it's fun and it doesn't suck.. and if I can find a way to beat someone who has the advantage of much, much better cards, with not so good cards, I'm going to do it and laugh while doing it...
Seriously though, the only people who can build control decks either can spend a lot of money on the game (so streamer or something that basically gets their packs paid for by viewers, this sort of thing) or have been playing since the start of the game pretty much! they require way too many legendary cards to ever work for the little guys... so we have to build decks that can counter what you guys have... just be thankful that we can make what we got work and you aren't facing a bunch of uncompetitive nonsense... unless that's what this is all about.. you think you should have an advantage cos you ground out all them cards? I guess I can understand that, but then the game would be broken... the little guys need a way to compete.
