SamHobbs494 posted a message on This is how Blizzard makes moneyPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from SamHobbs494 >>All you people with sarccy comments are obviously cool with having half your money wasted every expansion on cards that aren't what you paid for anymore. God knows why.
Because people don't spend money on "cards", they spend it on "packs" which expand their collection.
You pay for the right to play the game, not to guarantee that nothing in the game changes. It's all written in the game contractual clauses that you accepted when you created an account. Which obviously you must have read before doing so, right?
I'm frankly more surprised you would pay money for anything without checking and accepting the fine print.
God knows why...Ah right, thanks for the reminder, it's been over 4 years since I saw that screen so long since forgotten that man.
Ok that does actually change matters then because they have no obligation to keep cards even classic ones in their current state meaning they can do what the fuck they like with the cards as long as packs don't change.
The fact that they covered themselves this way was really fucking smart actually
I mean I still don't like capitalism and the rest of my statement is still true but am glad I have been corrected where necessary so ta.

SamHobbs494 posted a message on This is how Blizzard makes moneyPosted in: General DiscussionI think his point might be A why do they make stupid broken cards in the first place and B why don't blizz just directly nerf said cards instead of classics and anything else that makes the broken cards good.
The answer to A is, they don't think hard enough about the niche interactions with certain cards and they underestimate how much people will find a way to abuse things in a way they didn't expect
The answer to B is, they are always legendaries and they never want to give us dust back for anything more than a rare.
Breaking a deck using the "cheap" cards is their thing and it is a horrible business practice rather than nerfing the problem card directly
All you people with sarccy comments are obviously cool with having half your money wasted every expansion on cards that aren't what you paid for anymore. God knows why.
All they need to do is just design better cards in the first place or do far more testing with them before they are released, we all remember the Shudderwock debacle.
Stop lynching the guy because he disagrees with corporate/capitalist greed, we all should.

NightCrawl3r posted a message on [Game] Hearthpwn's Deck Building ChallengePosted in: General Deck BuildingI'd say bloodbloom is fine. The damage can't evaded by targeting a minion like in dark possession. You can choose to "deal" 0 damage to yourself and basically waste 2 mana and a card, which is kind of silly anyway. The chittering tunneler in your attempt has the same problem :P
Also, Challenge #96 done!

Dorrian posted a message on Why So Much RNG?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from DelireMan7 >>I love HS for its RNG so I can’t agree with you. As many have already said, if you don’t like RNG and prefer when your decision and skill matter you should look for another game (card game or not).
HS is a fun card game and in my opinion not design to be competitive (having a Ranked mode does not make a game competitive). I know Blizzard push the “Esport” scene for HS but I think it’s more for economical reason.
Quote from PneumaPilot >>It’s also the spice that makes the game really fun over the long haul. Don’t agree?
What's fun about facing a rogue that goes T1 > Prep + Academic into T2 > Warlock DK?
The fact you can T2 Cloning Device to steal is 1 mana Lord Jaraxxus and Coin it ;)
That literally can't happen. Rogue would not get Lord J off of Academic when its played against Priest.
The situation I listed, T1 > Prep + Academic into T2 > Warlock DK can and has happened. -

user-100326613 posted a message on Why So Much RNG?Posted in: General Discussion- That's the great thing about current gaming industry - there is a lot of games, so there is one for everyone. You don't like RNG and you said it yourself, MTG doesn't use much RNG, so why not just play MTG and leave RNG based Hearthstone to people, who enjoy it? Why do people always want to change one thing that others might enjoy instead of choosing another thing that is more up their alley?

Darksun200 posted a message on Rastakhan's Rumble - Card Reveals and Details for Hearthstone's Tenth ExpansionPosted in: GuidesThis came way out of left field. Like when you are just sitting down having dinner, you start commenting on the food to your partner then someone abruptly barges into your house and yells at you.
Go to the salt thread if you wanna unload a can of worms.

jsager99 posted a message on Bwonsamdi, the DeadPosted in: Bwonsamdi, the DeadFortunately, it doesn't work like that. This card almost certainly uses the same rules as Skulking Geist, which uses the original value of the card while it is in your deck and won't destroy cards that are artificially made 1-mana. It will, however, effect copies of cards that are created in your deck with a set cost of 1-mana (like if you play Explore Un'Goro for some unfathomable reason or play this card in conjunction with the spirit, which creates copies that can be drawn/Geisted).

No techs? Have you ever heard of Dirty Rat or Deathlord? Void Contract - although this one is kinda stupid if you are playing control -

My experience with eureka in a Malygos deck is that its too risky / clunky, and believe me, I've tried thousands of versions to make it work. The best way to use eureka I find is to have a few expensive, non-battlecries minions in hand like Kel'Thuzad or Charged Devilsaur or Ragnaros the Firelord

You really should take your salt elsewhere, like the huge forum thread dedicated for expressing salt, for example.
His statement is not wrong. There is absolutely no minion from the neutral set this expansion that stands out and makes you say: woooow that looks cool, im gonna build a deck around it. They're all like: eh, thats kinda funny, I guess. There's no spiteful summoner, or corridor creeper or anything that stands out really. And also, what the f *** kinda thinking is that? If someone in your family is fuckin shit up, you won't tell them because they are entitled to doing whatever they want? I think not.

they a-coming boy, get hyped!

@Jsagger99 I dunno who downvoted you but here, have my upvote since you seem to be the only one who understands cost reduction mechanics in this game :)
1
Based off the way cost reduction works in game I dont think it'll work that way tho

LMAO I had the EXACT SAME reaction, probably high rolled a chain gang from his stonehill tho
