I crafted Alexstrasza for this shit. Gotta be worth it.

Never craft legendaries for a deck you just saw online without any solid proof it's actually a good deck. This in particular seems to have too many cards that feel out of place: totemic might, sylvanas, curator, alexstraza, totemcarvers...

I'll just talk about the ones that seem the most problematic, the rest are fairly well done and look quite cool in my opinion.

-Bearly trying: Hunter has no difficulty racking up damage against opponents, I don't think it needs another tool. Also, 20 damage is just too much (twice as much as a pyroblast to put it into perspective), and the requirement (having a beast) is far too easy thanks to cards like Infested Wolf, Savannah Highmane or .Kindly Grandmother

-Diana Hawkwood: do those 1/2 hunters have any special ability? Or, to put it in a different way, why would anyone play this over Savannah Highmane on turn 6?

    -Frost trap: maybe too good.

-Arcane barrage: despite not being able o hit the enemy hero, it feels strictly better than Spreading Madness. To be fair, Fireball is strictly better than Mortal Strike, but Arcane barrage seems just too powerful in mage when comboed with Flamewaker (although he'll get rotated out soon)

-Thaw: maybe too good for 1 mana. I'm not really sure to be honest, since it will probably sit in your hand for too long in certain matchups. What I'm concerned about is being able to kill minions like Tirion Fordring or Ancient of War that easily.

-Frost lich: maybe too good when compared with Disciple of C'Thun. It's also quite an insane combo with Brann Bronzebeard

-Unholy ritual: too powerful for freeze mage, they wouldn't even need to use Roaring Torch or generate fireballs with Archmage Antonidas to finish you off. The idea behind the card is cool though.

-Heirloom: strictly better than Arcanite Reaper since  reaper costs 5 mana and therefore you will only be able to play it with 5 mana cristals.

-Forward!: same spell as Force of Nature (which doesn't see play already)

-Frozen dragon: i guess the goal is to give it taunt with Sparring Partner? In that case I have to post this quote from the wiki (regarding immune effect):

    • Immune Taunt minions can be bypassed.[16][17] This behaviour works the same as a Taunt minion with Stealth.

I'm not sure what is your idea behind ths minion to be honest, maybe I'm missing something.

-Raiding!: perhaps too good in combination with Bolster: 10 mana deal 16 damage (7 minions * 4/4 stats - 12 health from the taunt). I think it would have to be tested.

I forgot to mention Professer's pupil in my last post, shouldn't it be "Professor's pupil" (with an "o" instead of an "e")?

Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged by the issues, they can be fixed easily, whilst having the imagination to create a whole adventure is really something else!

The minions from Raiding don't have Taunt, so Bolster wouldn't work.

I think moonkin form is a bit too strong. You basically have infinite spell damage. Dreamweaver drake seems too much like twilight drake and I don’t understand why such a giant dragon is 1 mana. Diana Hawkwood seems a bit underpowered. Thaw should maybe be a bit more expensive, maybe 2 mana? Unholy ritual is pretty much insta-win. Heirloom is a better Arcanite Reaper. Unending winter’s wording is a bit weird, it doesn’t tell when the minions will be frozen. At the start of the turn? Undead Horde is pretty underwhelming to be honest. You can basically accomplish the same thing with competitive spirit for 1 mana, since the healing often doesn’t matter. Avenging Champion is a bit too strong when compared to Lord of the Arena, for example. Maybe make it 7/5? Rage of Sapphiron is easily a 3-mana 9/8 lol. I really like a lot of cards here, though. Most of the cards are really unique and I love the art. My favorites are Beast Tamer, Arrow Rain, Icecrown Ghost, Invincible and all the Rogue cards. Great job! :)

you're absolutely right about Raiding!, my bad

-Rage of Sapphiron: it should read "than" instead of "then", it's also overpowered in my opinion

Now that the paladin is out, another round of reviews:

-Wisps!: too good against control (and probably against any deck) since it cannot be played around.

-Faithful challanger: it should read "Faithful challenger" (with an "e" instead of an "a")

-Challenger's blade: too good. Pull Tirion or Rag and you win

looks great so far, but i'll point some (aesthetic?) issues:

Druid: Valithira should have the dragon tag, moonkin form the beast tag. Lich golem doesn't look too nature/druidish to me, but it's up to you i guess :)

Hunter: Arrow rain should read: "Deal 1 damage to every minion, draw a card for each minion killed" (you're missing the "y" after "ever"). Warlock's pet looks like a demon to me ;)

There are balance problems as well, I can post those later as feedback if you like.

posted a message on 13-2 Secret Midrange Pally

The deck looks quite nice but I have some questions about the performance of the following cards:

Argent Commander : does is end up sitting in your hand for long periods of time?

Competitive Spirit : how many minions do you manage to buff on average?

Apart from that, I prefer Forbidden Healing over Lay on Hands because of it's flexibility and avoiding fatigue if games go long enough (not sure if this is the case with this deck against control)

I also dislike lay on hands because sometimes you are against aggro and because it costs 8 mana you can't really do anything else and they burst you down next turn anyway (yes, from the card draw you might draw something to protect yourself next turn, but i prefer something like equality+consec+forbidden healing)

    Other questions:

Don't you feel like there are too many weapons?

Do you run out of cards easily?

Wouldn't you try to fit Leeroy in the deck?

Sorry for the long comment but I've been looking for a deck like this for a long time and I just want to be sure it works properly :)

posted a message on Heal you to Legend! (Update)

I've tried a similar list recently but i didn't find Prince Malchezaar too useful as the legendaries weren't always relevant and most of the time they prevented me from getting heals or equality/consec in time (by making the deck thicker).

Not a big fan of Harrison Jones in this kind of deck either as the extra card draw is often going to be detrimental against control and not needed (in my case) against aggro. I play ooze instead, which is also easier to fit into a turn and can shut down spirit claws/fiery war axe early (damn pirate warriors).

However, seeing that you reached legend with the deck means it works, so keep up the good job i guess. It's always nice to see people trying to bring back pally :)

Basically my list was the same but:

    -1 Brann Bronzebeard

    -1 Defender of argus

    -1 Malchezaar

    -1 Guardian of kings

    -1 Harrison Jones

    +1 Echoing ooze

    +1 Azure drake

    +1 Coldlight seer

    +1 The Curator

    +1 Solemn vigil

    This could be an idea:

-2 Silent Knight, -2 Moonglade Portal, -2 Truesilver Champion

+2 Wild Pyromancer, +2 Bilefin Tidehunter, and 2 open Slots, most likely for Blood Knight or Argent Horserider or something like that

Not sure about the pyros, they would pretty much ruin the divine shields. Bilefin does work really good with steward of darkshire, i might consider adding them. As for Blood knight and horserider, i already explained why i don't really want to use them in the deck description. Thanks for the input though.

Hi, I've just made this deck and I would really appreciate some feedback. Here's the link for those who are interested

    [s31] Divine Barnes Paladin
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (17) Ability (10) Weapon (3)
    Loading Collection

I link the page and not display the deck here as I think it's more convenient to have the discussion there, because that way I can alter the deck and deck description as I read the comments and just have everything together.

     Hope you don't mind?

How has silvermoon portal been performing? I found the random 2-drop to be underwhelming. No aldor for Barnes consideration, I assume?

Silvermoon portal has been good enough for me, and since i wanted to base the list around buffs (among other things) i think i must keep it, although i realise it's probably not a tier 1 choice (same as the whole deck really)
