Aelfscyne posted a message on Meet BaiZe - The HCT's First Championship Woman Impresses in LAPosted in: NewsQuote from moonsorrow999 >>She bought a poor line up and made many questionable plays, I also read somewhere she had the worst W/L ratio in the tournament, that hardly seems impressive to me. No doubt I'll get labelled as sexist or something, I was actually rooting for her though.
The point was she impressed folks with some of her decks and her specific plays. Sounds like that isn't enough to impress you. It's a matter of opinion. -

captram77 posted a message on Hearthstone being competitive is a jokePosted in: General DiscussionQuote from MrSparklehorse >>have you never played a control deck where your removal is limited and every turn you are faced with a minimum of 2 to 3 options which can and will affect the eventual outcome of the game? or are you strictly a midrange "hurr durr whatever card is biggest and has green border i play!" player? or are you under the false belief that control decks are really easy to play?
I prefer control decks, Reno Mage and old version of CW are my favoites. Still think this decks are easy to pilot.
the ladder is a grind, deal with it.
Absolutly agree with this one. Time is what matters here, skill is meh.
ladder in hearthstone is...
Grinderville, where even a bad player can copy-paste deck from this site, manage to somehow pilot it with 50.1% wr, put a lot of time into it and be lucky owner of legend card back. While luck plays key-role in tournaments, as you admited.
One of dumbest things to be said, millions of players don't make rank 10.Fools are the people who make legend and belittle their achievement or the achievement of others that do.There are players that have invested years, have full or near full collections, that never reach.I seen a person on my friends list spend 6-7 hours a day playing teir 1 decks and still only get to rank 3 full stars. Another that spends 8 and still trying to bust 15. Legend takes, time, which is a given. But if people don't think it also takes skill, they are the stupid ones, not rank 25 players. As for the discussion, every game that has someone competing with another, makes it competitive. The degree, is all opinion.Sports, is he going to throw a fast ball or curve......rng. Is he going to Deke or shoot.....rng. going left or right....rng.Rng in all competitive sports, people just don't focus on it. How even the Health of players is a form rng. Rng doesn't dictate the competitiveness of any game or sport. Might effect the outcomes, but so do many things. Sorry for the rant and the page of text. -

Malhavoc posted a message on Blizzard is Considering Options for Druid - More Information this WeekPosted in: NewsThis is actually quite an interesting idea, making the card still nice, but far from being overpowered; and leaving druid with its iconic card. Besides, it's in line with what the real Innervate does in World of Warcraft!

CheeseEtc posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 6.10 - Discussion TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsOk guys. I have 32 cards that fit the theme, here are those I think are the best ones:
Keep in mind that this week's theme is ambiguous so some of them might not actually be good.
AGGRA - AKA Thrall's waifu. Obviously the only time it will interact with your opponent's board is during shaman mirrors but it still fits the rules :D. If you have a Wrath of Air Totem for example, she will be a 4/6 with Spell Damage +1 (assuming the Totem is not damaged).
ALICIA CUTHBERT - Again, not sure it counts. It kind of interacts with your opponent's hand since her effect will depend on it.
The idea of this card is that, as a rogue, you benefit more from The Coin so even though it can sometimes backfire, you're better off on the long term. Flavor-wise it fits because some pirates can be some kind of a Robin Hood and shit.
VARIMATHRAS - A famous dreadlord who does drealord-y things: possessing enemy minions. This card is very annoying to deal with since it will screw you if you have a board like Sylvanas Windrunner, for whom Varimathras worked for a long time before betraying her (see the dreadlord in the background on Sylvanas' art ? Well, that's him). It depdends on your opponent's board because basically it's a 8mana 7/7 if your opponent's board is empty. Might be too powerful as it is. What do you think ?
TERROR ATTACK - Reversed Feign Death and hilarious counter to Sylvanas! I think it could cost (1) without being broken since unlike Feign Death, you don't decide which minions you opponent plays. The flavor also needs some change.
As usual, the rest of my cards that fit the theme : http://imgur.com/a/RIAME
Which is best ?

mayatola posted a message on How to Clear the Upper Reaches Effectively - Frozen Throne AdventurePosted in: NewsTried to find out some of the interactions between cards and bosses:
Lana'thel and Lich King: "You!" - Lana'thel. "This boss bites." - Lich King. Lana'thel against Lana'thel had no reaction strangely.
Putricide against Putricide - "Good news everyone! I've perfected the plague!" "Hey, you're the one going around as - me!" "Good news - me!" then the boss gets mad about your card being a doppleganger. Don't remember against Lich King but there was one. He also reacts to oozes and Eater of Secrets.
Sindragosa against Lich King - "I am betrayed!" No response from Lich King.
Sindragosa against Sindragosa - "Our pathetic magics have betrayed us!" - both say in unison (somewhat staggered).
Has anyone tried Lana'thel against Lana'thel? Perhaps I missed it? I played the card but there was no reaction.

Good news! After crafting DK Jaina I tried it out on Volatile Elemental and it does work! Now I have crafted this guy. Works indeed.

I'm a Chinese and I'll share my opinion on this. Personally I consider such censorship to be quite ridiculous, while I don't really care about it being a helmet or a skull. I believe that most people in China feels just the same way as you guys do when they see skeletons or ghosts or whatever, at least in our younger generation. Nonetheless, the censorship can be indeed VERY ridiculous at times, as I once watched a video on Youtube about censorship on WOW in China where they turn flesh and bones into loaves of bread...

Probably because Sindragosa was a blue dragon, and that species closely relates to mages? Consider Kalecgos and Jaina :P

Control Warrior will definitely have to prepare a Brawl for this.

I really like the artwork of this card. Also great art for recent mage legendaries Pyros and Inkmaster Solia. That alone justifies my fondness toward these cards.

If this guy's Deathrattle does indeed trigger Lifesteal, I'm wondering whether I should craft it lol...
