notsoclutch posted a message on Summoning Stone is Tier 1 - Echo Stone Freeze MagePosted in: MageQuote from BigFatMurloc >>So maybe I dont get the point, but how is this better than standard freeze mage? And Also no Moltens? Just how is this deck winning? Needs 8 Turns to set up getting random minions, which can be eventualy be a win condition instead of just setting up lethal with Alex+damage spells...
realy dont get it.
This deck greatly improves the warrior match-up and slightly worsens the aggro matchups. -

Hatleking posted a message on Summoning Stone is Tier 1 - Echo Stone Freeze MagePosted in: MageQuote from notsoclutch >>And here I thought that summoning stone Miracle Rogue was going to be the deck to make the card work. Gotta say that I'm loving the deck so far.
I had a couple of insane turns against a priest with a good board. On turn eight I dropped Summoning Stone and played Frost Nova. He couldn't do much but heal a play into the board. Then at turn nine I cast Flamestrike and got a Confessor Paletress, almost clearing his board. I hero powered and got Varian Wrynn. After a while he cast Mind Control on my 0-3 Summoning Stone. It's safe to say he never came back! -

This is probably one of the most interesting and fun decks I've played in a while. Beating a mill rogue even after burning cards like thaurissan feels good. Disgusting value if stone lives.

KingPiccoloJr posted a message on [TOP 5 LEGEND] Raptor RoguePosted in: [TOP 5 LEGEND] Raptor Roguewould Baron Rivendare be viable as a replacement for Loatheb? Or would Loatheb's body/effect be too valuable since the deck relies mostly on smaller minions for the first half of the game?

Rhox247 posted a message on Rank 1 Legend NA Reno DreadsteedPosted in: Rank 1 Legend NA Reno DreadsteedI love this deck; it's a great design and interesting to play... however I think I prefer to remove Nerubian Egg and replace, instead with Brann Bronzebeard. Just a touch more expensive but they need to remove him plus he synergises so well with Antique Healbot, Big Game Hunter, Ironbeak Owl, Defender of Argus, Refreshment Vendor and Dark Peddler.
What do you think? Does this make sense?
Brann does not synergize with Ironbeak Owl and Big Game Hunter. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Raptor is a stealth buff to Shadow Madness.
Great deck though. I love the break from Oil into something that you've clearly demonstrated as viable.
Congratulations.

Is there any more evidence of rank? I mean, I could see this deck doing well, but I have a hard time seeing that much consistency to hit #1 overall.
I don't mean to say that you didn't get it, but I just want that added confidence.

Facehunter actually does pretty well against handlock.

Please tell me that wasn't you who down-voted me just because you disagree with me.
Anyways, control paladin could take any number of forms with this card. One that has an emphasis on healing could be quite useful. Priest hero power has always been good, and can be used on minions, so it would be favored over warrior.
All decks of various forms can find new synergies.
This is what I hate, actually. So many people bash a new card because they have no idea how to construct new decks or how cards will actually interact with each other. Just like a bunch of pro players bashed Reno Jackson, someone rated it a 2/10, and what happened? We get a top 5 legend player with a Reno Jackson centered deck.
And, I know you'll just say "well, warrior is set up for that sort of thing" but the thing is, if you had the foresight to see that already you'd never have bashed it in the first place.

I'm happy just to be able to make an even more top-heavy deck because we get another good late-game legendary.

Read the text of Naga Sea Witch.
Still, keeping that thing alive is optimistic at best.

Mechmage, Secret Paladin and Aggro druid will now get their choice of Warlock or Hunter hero power! Well, most of the time they'll get at least one of those.
Freeze mage will get to heal or tank up. Control decks will get to use warrior and priest hero powers.
Imagine control paladin or shaman with priest/warrior hero power.
The possibilities are endless!

Shoutout to Senfglas - I used some concepts from this build to more quickly put together my deck. https://twitter.com/F2K_Senfglas/status/665076230404878336
If you notice, that's taking a similar deck from 400 legend to 150 legend. Welcome to the new meta!
This is my first somewhat refined rendition of a summoning stone deck. It is freeze mage, essentially. The general idea is to stall the game until you can combo a freeze spell with summoning stone. Or, it's also completely feasible to drop doomsayer, clear the board and then drop summoning stone onto an empty board. This strategy is usually only good against aggro because control will have removal. And, this deck depends on out-valuing control decks.
Echo of Medivh summons a minion before the effect takes place - so you get a copy of it in your hand along with the summoning stone and whatever else you have on the board. It also gives you another summoning stone if it happens to get silenced.
Cone of Cold is in this deck to be an additional combo with summoning stone, on top of frost nova.
Overall, this is some of the most fun I've ever had playing Hearthstone. The snowball effect is ridiculous and immediate. It becomes one-sided very quickly when they can't deal with summoning stone. The insane amount of healing and AoE in this deck makes it strong vs. any aggro archetype. Control warrior is the hardest matchup because they have so much removal, so it can be hard to set up a snowball effect. And, when you do, they have brawl, so you have to echo carefully.
A potential card to use to this deck would be Reno Jackson. This would combo with Echo very well on late turns in the game.
