You just gotta Barnes her out, run bloodblooms,

& sacrificial pact the cheaper summons to negate the health loss.

posted a message on Underutilized cards for priest

    Hey guys,

With all the new cards coming out I wanted to have an open discussion on people's thoughts/experiences with not so common cards (new or old.) Much more than with other classes do I feel like I never have enough space for everything I would ideally want as a priest. So, it's a given why a lot of these cards aren't played. Basically, I'll just list some cards I feel have potential with a little summary on my experience with them and you guys can give feedback or do the same! New decks & ideas are the goal here so please try to be constructive!

Nerub'ar Weblord Pros: Can really throw some decks timings out of synch. As well as deny an expected play (such as Azure Drake on 5 or Fire Elemental on 6.)Its 2 mana cost fits really well on our slower turns (2&4.) And with 4 hp it can stay up for a while with heals. Cons: 1 damage doesn't give much board pressence. Can stop you from playing Cabal Shadow Priest which is one of our best cards. Cabal/Kodo-able. (with them paying the 2 extra mana.)

Deathlord Pros: A lot of people are hesitant on this card but if you look beneath the surface you will find a card that has the potential to go 2 or possibly 3 for 1 and force out an enemy minion that they dont always want played at that moment and doesn't benefit from battlecries. With SW:Death & Pain you can easily deal with most threats or silence it before its demise. With 8 health and a priest's healing potential it can turn into a brick wall for opponents. Cons: Late game it's value plummets. Too much damage will generally be on the board to trade effectively and can be often seen as adding salt to the wound. Not to mention as big of a tempo loss as getting Black Knight'd/Kodo'd already is. This, would be THAT much worse.

Lightspawn Pros: 5/5 body on the board for 4 mana is nothing to dismiss. Turns into a 7-7 with a Power Word: Shield or an 8-8 with the new Dark Cultist or a Temple Enforcer. Good silence bait. Immune to Aldor Peacekeeper Cons: Turns into an 0-5 when silenced, must run Defender of Argus or Inner Fire to still get some value out of him. Susceptible to getting cheaply damaged to prevent trades when getting killed.

Lightwarden Pros: Nice 1 drop that pretty much always goes at least 1 for 1 (unlike Northshire Cleric ). and has amazing synergy with Power Word: Shield. I like this card a lot because she's a very real threat, very early on,that the opponent must deal with. Cons: Without a health buff she is extremely frail, and due to his instant impact with shield Wild Pyromancer has pretty much taken her slot. Late game she's next to useless. Although, when paired with a Temple Enforcer she gains much more versatility, if you drop the two on turn 9 and heal (or 7 with a Circle of Healing ) you've essentially put a 6-6 on board and a 3-5 who must be dealth with immediately.

Crazed Alchemist Pros: Ahhh. The combos with this lad are near endless. Want to SW: Death those annoying Sunwalker s? Done. Opponent has a 4-2 Cairne Bloodhoof on the board? He's mine now. Is a shaman's Mana Tide Totem drawing cards like crazy? Crazy is his first name (well,crazed..) Cons: Most combos with him are going to be upwards of 6 mana making him a pretty late play. Not to mention without the set up he can be an extremely dead card in a number of matchups and early on. 2-2 on the board isn't really helpful, and his combos usually take a number of cards.

Post any cards that stand out to you guys! or feel free to give feedback on the ones I mentioned and anything I missed. Thanks!
