Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of Week #24 of our Weekly Card Design Competition. One of the awesome things about this competition is that it gets us all talking about what makes a card balanced, fun, realistic, interesting, unique, innovative, exciting, and more. However, to make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of this week's entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your card? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's cards? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!

Advertising Your Card. This is a new rule during Season 2. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your card only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is balanced?". Yes, getting feedback on your card is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your card for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.

A new druid card to combat weapons. The weapon it'll transform theres into is the Heavy Axe. As its Transform, rather than give/destroy i intendit NOT to activate deathrattles such as Death's Bite..
Minor clarification: The whole "not based on cost" thing is with regards to the original card, not the resulting card. We're trying to leave as much room as we can here to be interesting without just having a ton of Recombobulator clones. =P
Do we have to mention or phrase it that the card "transforms"? Just wondering since Druid of the Claw is an example, yet has anomalous wording compared to the rest.
Do we have to mention or phrase it that the card "transforms"? Just wondering since Druid of the Claw is an example, yet has anomalous wording compared to the rest.
You do not, and that is why I made sure to include it as an example. It is a transformation effect that exists in the game but does not call itself a transformation effect, and that is fine. A transformation effect isn't not a transformation effect just because it doesn't call itself one. Similarly, a random effect isn't not a random effect just because it doesn't call itself one, so taking the word "random" out of a card and thinking that makes it valid, like I know somebody has already tried to pull off, is incorrect.
@Firebolts - I like it a lot! For clarification, though - if you killed a minion with the weapon, would it still transform?
@Doomedspeed - I can't help but find this a worse Acidic Swamp Ooze. Not that I don't like it, but considering its mana-cost, it's potentially completely useless, as it doesn't get rid of their weapon either, it just gives them a new one - which, in the case of Light's Justice and Heavy Axe might actually be a good thing for them.
@duk9r Isn't the card invalid, due to transforming cards into random minions, and not specific ones?
This is my submission I plan on using, does it follow the rules?
I... I suppose that technically it follows the rules, yes, since the transformation itself, while random, is not based on the other card's cost. It's just the other effect that's based on the other card's cost. Though, this is also very overpowered.
Useful for protecting big minions at risk until your next turn (e.g. Mal'Ganis, but you lose immune that turn!), or even baiting out board clears where they wouldn't be used otherwise. If you risk too much on this card and your opponent has an answer, the tempo swing to them could be enormous.
Could also be used as hard removal on a minion like Rag or one of innumerable other legendaries. It does force you to use your own board clear (Hellfire, as Demonwrath won't work), potentially injuring your own board state.
Give upvotes on the submission topic! :) Bottom of first page
A bit OP imo (Unstablobulator). Of course it would be used as a 6 mana hard removal that leaves a 4/2 body, because the chances of destruction are pretty high (and even if it does fail, it can wreck the target).

(Yes, it's a Warlock weapon)
Transforming a minion into a demon seems weird, but has benefits. For example, you can turn a 9 mana legendary into a Blood Imp.
EDIT: Has 1 attack and reworded it so that it can actually attack and the warlock takes damage for balance sake
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Whoever liked my post, wrong page. Submissions are on another thread.

Hi Mods, just check your dates/times re submission closing etc. on Submossion #24 intro.

;D Well, you're probably just leaving mistakes in to see who's reading the rules! I did for once, no need for resubmissions... hopefully... :)

And here's mine for the week!
And the Insane Hero
is a minion that transform a minion into a random minion then destroys it if it is a minion of a different mana cost as the original, okay?

Can remove a target complete, like Sylvanas or Ragnaros, but it might backfire greatly. Might tweak the stats / mana a bit.
Is the name ok? Or is Goblin Hermit better?
Will posts some reviews tomorrow / later.
Unfortunately, this entry doesn't qualify because it transforms another card randomly based on its cost. =(
This is my submission I plan on using, does it follow the rules?

Come on Beast-Druid!
I know that this deck type will never become viable (no real synergy), but this competition is all about fantasies, so let's give 'em a decent 1-drop: here's my submission for this week (http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/fan-creations/50060-weekly-card-design-competition-24-submission-topic?comment=23):
Give it a +1! Opinions appreciated!
