This is the concept I'm going for, I wanted to do something with discovering a legendary minion for your opponent as a downside of a spell. any balance adjustments, or suggestions for a different positive effect to counter the downside?
~Flavor: they should have learned from fizzlebang's mistake
SO this is my current idea, the staff of origination. (I used the wrong setting in hearthcards, the image below should be a weapon)
The three pieces of the staff are 0 cost weapons, The rod gives immunity while attacking, The headpiece gives your minions +2/+2 when equiped, and the pearl recombobulator's your minions when you attack. I haven't balanced stats for the weapon pieces around their effects or found good images yet. any thoughts on the concept before I dive in?
Based on the mob spawned by the fire lord hero's "summon lava spawn" spell, Lava spawn's consume the flesh of their target and eventually split into two.
@zukuu I think mana gem is a fine card. Innervate would be too strong in mage, so toneing it down for mana gem works for me. I think your soul burn would be too strong in zoo, flood the board with minions then cast soul burn. this is an even stronger effect then loatheb for much cheaper. of the two I'd definitely say mana gem.
@Anybody Here's my current concept

ok last concept before bed. does A minion/spell that spawns itself, affect the text limit? Also, Technically this minion is summoned by a spell in WC3, so I don't know if this is legal but...
the lava spawn mob summoned by the WC3 spell "summon Lava spawn" consumes the flesh of its target and eventualy splits into two lava spawns.
This is my first, card concept I'm toying with. Based on the neutral hero Firelord's ultimate volcano, it feels hard to pinpoint a balance point on the card though.
Looks like this is getting some pretty good feedback, I wanted to address some of them.
First of all I wanted to utilize the combo keyword, so that will stay, I really like it flavor wise as well, because sometimes you have to up the ante for a chance at a higher payout.
Same with "costs more", go big or go home, It could be "costs less"" with slightly better stats but i'm going to keep that as is.
Finally, to legendary or not to legendary, it could certainly could be given legendary status, I personally think it's not legendary enough though, plenty of non legendary summon random minions.
All in all i think feedback is positive so I'm going to run it as is, i can tweak it a bit if opinion changes.

I personally think it should be let people do whatever type of adventure they want, dungeon or non dungeon.
