As the thread states, I really am having a problem with fatigue mages. I can't seem to beat them with my midrange-control setup I currently have. I am at rank 7, and so I am seeing less zoo and hunter, which are decks I designed the deck to beat. I can ok versus handlock, but these fatigue mages always have an answer. If I slow roll, they alex me, or play cheap giants and echo, and cause me to overdraw, or if I try to play fast, they are able to efficiently clear board. I'm not sure how I could approach it. Attached is a copy of the deck used.
I would say that if you want to beat freeze mage consistently playing a control class with a lot of healing/armour is probably your best answer so you can consistently dodge lethal and kill their few real board threats. Personally I play warrior and have a 100% record against freeze mage so far with it. The biggest individual tip I can give you is for midrange never overload the board. You will rarely need to do a lot of trading so you need to minimize the value of their removal
I agree Loatheb would increase your win % against this match up by a good margin but I am not convinced its the best call overall at least not with the meta I have been playing. It seems like you have enough healing that you should not have too much trouble staying out of lethal range. I can see where most of your plays get damaged by all of their aoe which is unfortunate but I do not see how they ever actually land the kill.
If you look at the pro players that use Freeze mage they all tell you loatheb is the real issue. I currently play at rank 4 and play freeze mage and ill tell you that if timed correctly its a real pain to recover from.
Sorry I will change the title. I had been calling the fatigue mages freeze mages since they still use some mechanics of freeze, (nova, Blizzard, Pyro) but I haven't seen a REAL freeze mage since GVG came out.

I play them both and only brought it up because that will change how you need to play it. After work i will try to get you some more info on fatigue to help you. However for now Loatheb is not your answer :D
Honestly I wouldn't change any of your decks to counter the few gimmick decks that are running around in ranked. Neither fatigue druid or fatigue mage are consistent enough to worry about them catching on and becoming a serious meta problem. Sure, they win some matchups. Maybe they even do well against other control decks, but they aren't consistent AT ALL, and they fall utterly short against mid-range decks since mid range will still put out enough early pressure to force them to play sub optimally.
Man I've never lost a game against that copied fish freeze or kolento fatigue mage :( It's especially easy and funny when I match up against them with my freeze mage. Not a big pally player though so not sure how that matchup goes.
Fatigue mage doesn't feel like a gimmick (at least, not like Mill Druid). I played a game last night as Paladin, with a deck very close to this one, and from the first few turns, I knew what I was up against, Even so, that matchup felt completely hopeless. You just can't do anything but wait around to die.
To beat this specific deck, maybe this is the rise of something like Wailing Soul as a total tempo shift. if they nova you and you can still break out and attack, that's a huge tempo swing. Kezan Mystic also works very well. If I was playing a tournament, I'd tech this stuff in, but on ladder it's hard to use. That's why these kinds of decks are so strong. It has big counters, but no one wants to make their deck weaker to beat them.
Didn't people say the same thing about zoolock/face decks originally though? Sure, you could beat them by putting a ton of taunts/sticky minions/AoE in your deck but then your deck is worse against other matchups.
Loatheb is by far the strongest tech choice as it's not only game-winning against fatigue decks but Loatheb also does a lot of work against other decks as well.
Sneed's Old Shredder is another powerful choice. It needs to be Polymorphed or silenced immediately; if it dies in AoE or to Doomsayer it just leaves another incredibly powerful minion on the board. It's a bit on the slow side, but with the Undertaker nerf it might actually be playable.
Kezan Mystic is yet another powerful card but it's only good against (some, but not all) mages and hunters.... so I wouldn't include that unless you're only really playing against those classes.
The thing with fatigue mage, they use duplicates, belchers and echos. As well as lots of board clears. I'd say, silence can be a valuable asset in this matchup. Deals with them duplicating belchers, and deals with doomsayer.

and you can even silence your own minion to remove Freeze

If you Hex a Murloc... it really isn't much of a change, is it?

add a Loatheb and make sure you keep track of lethal. Use it at the proper time (usually after alex) and then heal and/or answer threats.
Have you considered running a mystic?
I have been considering using Loatheb instead of Piloted or Harrison if I start seeing less weapon classes.

They usually kill me with fatigue damage. They always are able to echo either belchers or healbots, or murlocs to overdraw me.

Then your issue is not freeze mage its fatigue mage. I linked both below. (1, is fatigue, 2 is freeze)

Thanks all for the help. Right now I am just dealing with bad draws. I can't lose more than 3 in a row or I break things :(

I personally use a lot of sticky minions.
I am immune to board clear, and the amount of freeze is limited.
Haunted Creeper, Harvest Golem, Piloted Shredder, Sludge Belcher, Piloted Sky Golem, Sneed's, Savanah Highmane... all your best friends
