It's a high risk, high reward deck. If the get a good early Barnes and rezzes, they most likely win. It's inconsistent though so don't worry if you get crushed by it.
Control players would complain about Ice Block because of OTK quest mages, where your actions are essentially meaningless. You are playing a solitaire game, where the quest mages either gets her combo in time or not.
And of course quest mages run both Doomsayer, which buy them anywhere between 2-4 extra turns.
Black Knight is a good long term investment. It's always going to see play (some times more than others) and it will never be rotated. Bonemare is the main reason it's so popular right now, and to a lesser extent Lich King.
What exactly are you missing? Crafting everything with keyword Jade in it is pretty cheap (except Aya). I'd just do that, play around with a more aggressive Jade druid deck, and hold off crafting legendaries. Fandral and DK are not necessary. Here is the order I'd do it in:
1) Craft all Jade. Play around.
2) Craft UIs, play around some more.
3) Are you still having fun? Craft Aya. Play some more.
4) Are you ready to only play Druid? Craft Fandral and DK.
I just went through the entire neutral core set, and the two standout cards that are 'not like all the others' are Doomsayer and Auctioneer. I'd say they are both strong candidate for rotation.
Both are cool, good cards, and I run them in various decks, but they do limit the way standard can evolve. Should be class cards IMHO.
It should absolutely go to HOF. This coming from someone who crafted two of them. This card should never have been a neutral. Name another neutral core 2 drop with such an impact on the meta.
Core neutral cards that cast powerful spells are legendary, or high cost.
Its a cool well designed card, but it doesn't belong in the core set and will limit future design.

I haven't seen a silence priest since week one.

Swap a card for gepetto (maybe one sweeping strike?) and you give yourself an extra out vs. shaman. Plus you draw your deck faster on all matchups.

I made a troll mill deck. Been winning most of my games, some through rage quit:
Preparation
Shadowstep
Southsea Deckhand
Deadly Poison
Hallucination
Eviscerate
Sap
Vanish
Coldlight Oracle
Antique Healbot
It's death by 1,000 cuts. So far my only losses have been to a quest mage and a Jade shaman where I kept not discovering Vanish.

Deadly shot is back in the meta? We missed you old friend.

Everyone gets a pack with a guaranteed, non-disenchantable, Millhouse Manastorm.

Just craft some warlock cards (maybe not even any legendaries) DK warlock is super fun.

Super weak. It would have to be silence the next enemy with deathrattle to be viable.

Not making any arguments here for/against:
Possible candidates: Innervate, Ice Block, Doomsayer, Auctioneer
Unlikely: Any other class cards, Thalnos, Alexestraza, Warleader, Southsea Captain

Yes. Still worth crafting unless Blizzard HOFs it.
