I've been watching WOW cinematics since the original game out 13 years ago and the latest one for Battle of Azeroth is the most impressive one I've ever seen. Unbelievable!!!
I really liked it, the Alliance side was kind of underwhelming ( well Anduin's armor is pretty badass but that's about it, he still feels subpar but we will see ) but that could also be because i adore Sylvanas ( who in this and the Legion cinematics looks kind of ugly imo ).
I don't know. The Sylvannas "reveal" moment made me go "holy ****" but the Anduin reveal moment gave me chills. But perhaps my favorite moment was the freeze frame at the end with the Orc and the Human about to clash....
Sylvanas is superb. Best warchief ever right after Thrall. I hope they will steer forever away from that bitchy concept they attributed her in some past expansions.
And someone should give Anduin a grimmer face, if they want to make him a credible Paladin (just look at young Arthas). He still looks like a frightened boy...
Cinematic is amazing but there is few things that bother me about upcoming expansion. Where are all the warcraft heroes? Are Malfurion and Tyrande dead, we did see Teldrassil burning. Where is Thrall? Baine? Lor'themar? You would expect to see them defending one of the main Horde outposts. We only saw Sylvanas and Greymane and Anduin (Who is possibly a catalist for the entire war. Because of that Il'gynoth's warning "The boy-king serves at the master's table. Three lies he will offer you.". Boy king... Who else can it be but a young Anduin Wrynn is he really puppet of Sargeras?).
I don't know if any of you watch Nobbel87 (Great guy if you are interested in WoW lore) anyways, he makes a solid point of where the hell does this conflict come from. In Legion we are working together on defeating the Legion and than bam a second Legion is pushed back, conflict starts. There is still lots of Burning Legion loyalists, Sargeras, Void Lord and so many other threats and yet we focus on pety things such as who can obtain more resources for the upcoming battles as if we couldn't collect them together.
But i also can see the shape that this expansion will take. One of the confirmed bosses is Queen Azshara which in my head screams N'ZOTH! Yap he is the last old God present on Azeroth that still hasn't made apperance in the game. And this might be just perfect time to introduce him, all the way through legion it has been somewhat hinted that Azeroth's Titan might be corrupted, there is even that Il'gynoth's cryptic message "The king of diamonds has been made a pawn." and "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it.".
Imo title "Battle for Azeroth" has dual meaning. First one is obviously a conflict between Horde and Alliance and second is literally battle for Azeroth. Battle for Azeroth's titan. We gotta stop N'zoth so she doesn't fall under the influence of the Void lords.

Yep they confirmed Azshara and i think N'zoth will be present too. Maybe all the shit we saw in the cinematic happen due to N'zoth influence, i mean Grenn would gladly kill Sylvanas anyway but i can't see Anduin being a warmonger, same for the burning of Teldrassil which make no sense at all. Pretty sure we will face Old Gods again and maybe even Void Lords. And of course saving Azeroth titan from their corruption
Edit: about the boy-king quote, there is rumor about incoming patch which say that Argus the Unmaker (last boss in the burning throne) could be Sargeras, he probably became the fel itself by fusing with the world soul. So maybe the masters could be old gods, if we menage to kill Sargeras in this expansion.

Horde probably burned down Teldrassil, Sylvanas was never the most stable person in the WoW universe, unlike Garosh she has no honor to hold her back at all (Well Garosh in Cata atleast, before he went ape shit crazy, became racist and what not). And i doubt that we will face Void Lords in this expansion or any time soon, they are the biggest threat to the universe. If we finish them off in the next expansion, World of Warcraft is pretty much over. They will have to reboot the game with new story, which will take time. This story has been developing for 2 decades. Considering that Legion was a succes compared to previous expansions and all the hype for the upcoming expansion, they probably wont be ending WoW as we know it just yet.
And Anduin has to be a "boy-king". It makes perfect sense, there is noone else who fits description as much as he does. Wrathion is candidate as well but he is self proclaimed "prince". He is not direct son of Neltharion so it's probably not him.
Also there is that prophet Velen's vision about Anduin in which Anduin is leading combined forces of Horde and Alliance against Burning Legion. If Anduin is trully going to lead the forces of Azeroth, he needs to grow as a character. This would be perfect way to do that. Anduin starting wars and doing crazy shit, before he sees errors of his ways and slowly starts transforming into the person that he is eventually going to become. Atm he is underdeveloped character, with pretty boring storyline. He is pretty much a hippie, how the hell is he supposed to be leader of Azeroth's forces right now? Why would Horde stand behind him?

It's possible that they just come up with random threats. I mean, look at Mists of Pandaria. Of course, they can't do that forever and I agree with you that they should keep the Void Lords for another day. I truly love the idea of Battle for Azeroth because tensions have been rising between the Horde and Alliance (Stormheim anyone?) and we don't know what happened while we were on Argus and the burning of Teldrassil could have been the last straw (it might not have been the Horde but who knows?). I feel like after fighting space satan we have to come back home and deal with the problems we have. We just fought against the biggest Legion invasion and I have to imagine that at least some zones have been deeply affected by the war.

This, this is what Warcraft movie should've been. Not that steamy pile of crap we got.
I agree, this cinematic is my favourite so far.
Sylvanas is bae.
They really do just keep outdoing themselves with cinematics, and yes, their old ones have held up incredibly well over the years.
Here's a real treat! All of the WOW cinematics linked together in a single video... though strangely in reverse order. :O
that "FOR THE HORDE" right after sylvanas has her OP moment gave me chills everytime i saw that.
Garrosh did nothing wrong.
Saurfang warcry was awesome, gave me chills.
For the HOOOOOOOOOOOOOORDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
PS
Can't wait for the WoW Classic to come out.
Anduin is a paladin now.
I know he'll always be Priest in HS, but it would be cool if they updated Anduin and Gul'dan's art. Even Jaina looks different in BfA.

But yeah, Blizz excels with cinematics.
