4th episode of Blackrock Mountain threw us out an absolute gem of a card - Hungry Dragon. Now I've only had a few games with him and already he seems like he does not want me to include him. In anything. Ever. Some highlights he has thrown out to date include Leper Gnome, Argent Squire, a Flame Imp, and a Mana Wyrm.
It's a 5/6, potentially on turn 3 or even 1 for Druid. Flame imp is a raw deal, but if any of the others cost you the game despite a 4 mana 5/6 then you were likely cruising toward defeat anyway.

So far I've seen it once. It resulted in giving me Chow, which would've sucked if 1: he wasn't at full health and 2: I didn't need 2 more damage to remove him cleanly.
That said, it's a good card. Only wish I hadn't missed a few days messing up my grind to get BRM as it opens, so I'll have to wait a few days to get it.
i ramped a hungry dragon and it was practically gg vs a rogue. the card is awesome if you play blckwing tehcnician they cant remove him at least at once and then you play hungry dragon and blackwing tehcnician clears the small minion. i had many 1/2 minions from him and i had 3 2/1 pirate charge guy. maybe you hearthstone players are too sensitive. a leper gnome wont make you lose the game, i used hungry dragon vs a face hunter and i still won
lol hungry dragon is amazing. i was on lethal range and hungry dragon gave my opponent a zombie chow and i healed. i played many games with him yesterday and today. most of the times is a 1/2 minion completely useless but mind that hungry dragon doesnt make you catch up in the game. if youre way behind on the board hungry dragon is a bad move. in shaman together with fireguard my 4 drops can kill their 5 and 6 drops easily and i gain amazing tempo. there wasnt even a single time when hungry dragon backfired to me
anyway to all of you who post that dust devil nonsense let me remind you that shredder can drop 2 minions which can f*** you up way more than a dust devil. lorewalker cho and doomsayer. hungry dragon is very sticky the only time he died at once in my like 50 games was from a fireball. i will take hungry dragons RNG over shredders any day.

well, the chance of dust devil is 1/34 while doomsayer of shredder is I think 1/68, that being said, doomsayer can of course have a worse outcome. The chance of bad results of Hungry Dragon are higher but they are not as critical as possible bad results of Shredder.

I removed shredder from my druid deck before this adventure, I never liked it. I will try the dragon for sure later tonight when my family is sleeping :)

the thing is that in the 50 or more games i played so far the minion which spawned didnt even matter cause i was either removing it the same turn or it was a 1/1 murloc and it had no difference if it stayed on the board or not. most of the times hungry dragon will be a 5/6 with the condition of 1 of your minions will trade with that one drop. there were many times where i didnt kill the one drop and my opponent just hit me on face with it as slamming a 1/2 on hungry dragon making it a 5/5 does nothing at all. when my opponent played loathed i already had a board and hungry dragon wounded kills loatheb.
I think Backstab and the hero power actually makes rogue one of the best classes for [card]hungry dragon[card], because you have a good chance of being able to deal with what comes out on same turn without spending mana.

Yeah, that's something we have to see over the next weeks if it's worth it but it's hard to argue with the pure body of hungry dragon. I have not played him myself but I played against dragon paladin with my mid range paladin and hungry dragon was always awkward to deal with if I didn't have a Truesilver but if I had something like a truesilver or a shredder on the board I usually was in a better sport after killing the hungry dragon than I would have been against a Shredder.
I'm not convinced yet but if you play dragon synergy, then without a doubt hungry dragon is the only way to go.

of course i play hungry dragon synergy.... all my decks now have 1x mind control tech for punishing zoo and making hungry dragon even more awesome. i built a midrange shaman deck with fireguard and hungry dragon and its very strong. im not even mentioning healing totem heals my hungry dragon and fireguard every turn

Anyone else having similar experiences?
What's so terrible offending about that result? With the exception of Flame Imp you should expect a 2/1 at the very least.
the only card ive seen it spawn so far was hungry crab. no lie 12 for 12 lmfao

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
I keep getting 1 attack minions :) guess I just have good luck
hia.
No, because some of us also play Shaman on the side ;) also, it's not that amazing.
This. It spawned once for me (I won the turn after) and twice for my opp. One time I lost, one time it dealt 3 and attacked the dragon.

Great card, waiting for the last wing and can play a fully sexy Dragon Pala
+1.
Not only it was a Dust Devil, my opponent (Shaman) also had a Rockbitter, a Flame Tongue Totem and a 7 roll Crackle.
Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

My first play, got a Flame Imp.
Eat my Backstab sucker.

It's generally pretty amazing when a card gets immediately stapled into a class after this many cards have been released.
