What are things that you learned in-game as you had a match? More specifically, what kind of mechanics did you learn because they did it and at that time you didn't know you could do that? This thread is meant to reminisce about our "noob moments" or "in the beginning" moments. Please share them here :)
For me I did not know that Rockbiter Weapon could be used on yourself to give yourself 3 attack. So back then I was thinking how unfair it was that Shaman got a worse card than Paladin (vis-a-vis Blessing of Might) until my Shaman opponent used it on himself to gain 3 attack allowing him to take down my Flame Imp
You can use Shadowflame on your own hero as Lord Jaraxxus to AoE your opponent's board. It shall cause you to die though.

You can't harass members who play Face Hunter, nor are they compelled to make preemptive apologies or justifications for playing it. They don't hack or crack their opponents' game, they simply play existing cards that form a specific deck. If you suck at countering Face Hunter, you should blame the designers, not the community.
I was playing for at least three or four months before I saw my opponent buff a stealthed minion. I was under the impression that you cannot target minions with stealth because, well, that is what the game tells you. This is really counterintuitive, and there is no reason for it. The help box for stealth should say "cannot be targeted by opponent" or enemy or however they want to word it, but the distinction should be made.
Back in closed beta when I was just starting, I was playing in casual with my all-basic mage and my opponent pinged his own gurubashi berserker to boost him. I was like.. OMG GENIUS, GURUBASHI, BEST CARD EVER FOR MAGE!

Don't play Force of Nature and Savage Roar when you have Wild Pyromancer on the board.
Don't play minions if you have Knife Juggler on the board and the other player just played Dr. Boom
Reno Druid Rank 5 72% wr // Cards: Fix Shaman and Hunter
Don't attack with a stolen Mistress of Pain when you have Auchenai Soulpriest on the board. It'll result in infinite damage until you are dead.
How to spam "I'm sorry" if I have a victory condition until the rope burns...
How to spam "Threaten" until the rope burns down if I am obviously going to lose if I press "end turn"...
I had never realized that this was mandatory when playing HS until many of my opponents "taught" me this.
Note: I am just kidding...maybe.
Silencing his own Rag for lethal...
Didn' t even cross my mind at the time
eye for an eye is affected by spell power. that little fact got me killed because I went for lethal while he had malygos out. :(
hia.
oozing death's bite triggers deathrattle

Didn't know that...
Shamans can use Injured Blademaster better than Priest. turn 3 Blademaster + Ancestral Healing
Ladder opponents taught me that I am starting to be too old for this game.
Having a weapon equiped will cause damage to your own creatures if they trigger Misdirection and hit face.
I'm the best worst player.
Imp-losion on divine shield = 0 Imps. I mean, it kinda makes sense but I never thought about that.
Imp-losion can spawn 4 Imps even when used on a 1 health minion. A second Imp-losion used on their own Imp will spawn more Imps

I didn't know that, that's strange. Why would it hurt your minions on misdirect if it doesn't hit enemies when they attack? hm

Never to play Leeroy then your opponent has Knife Juggler. Was glorious than that happened

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - Sneak Review! http://www.thepoxbox.com/challenges.php?id=batmanvsuperman
I learned when my Priest opponent turned into Lord Jaraxxus that Sacrificial Pact does indeed work on him.
I think he meant Sacrificial Pact on Lord Jaraxxus will kill Jaraxxus, opponent or self.
